Product Usage Instructions
Kartell’s Okra, designed by Patricia Urquiola, is a new eco-friendly recycled
material made from recycled PMMA. It retains the aesthetic quality and
structural strength of new material, giving industrial plastic waste a new
purpose.
Warnings
- Do not wash in the dishwasher.
- Avoid contact with food.
- Not suitable for use in the microwave oven.
Proper Care

Is the Kartell Okra product recyclable?
Yes, the product is made from recycled PMMA and can be recycled following
local guidelines.
A NEW ECO-FRIENDLY RECYCLED MATERIAL
A new, eco-friendly recycled material. Kartell is using recycled PMMA in its transparent products for the first time. This material is largely derived from the depolymerization of plastic waste from various sources. It retains the aesthetic quality and structural strength of the pure new material. Its use gives industrial plastic waste a new lease of life and turns it into products that will stand the test of time as design icons.

Material: Recycled PMMA.
Warning: this product datasheet complies with the provisions of the law
governing “Consumer Information” envisaged by Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6
September 2005 (Consumer Code), supplementing and/or replacing Law no. 126 of
10 April 1991 on “Consumer Information Regulations”, as well as Decree no. 101
of 8 February 1997 “Implementing Regulations”. Product maintenance: before
using the tray clean the product with a soft cloth soaked in soapy water or
liquid detergent, preferably diluted with water. Do not use ethyl alcohol or
detergents containing even small amounts of acetone, trichloroethylene and
ammonia (or solvents in general).
When washing the product by hand, do not use abrasive sponges and/or
detergents; the product can withstand temperatures ranging between 0 and
+50°C.
