Product Usage Instructions
Hardware Connection
- Remove the anti-dust plug and connect the optical fiber to the AP’s GPON Port.
- Connect the telephone to the AP’s FXS port (optional).
- Connect the AP to power. Ensure installation is done by a skilled person.
Hardware Installation
Option 1: Desktop Mounting
- Attach the multi-functional base to the AP.
- Place the AP vertically on a horizontal surface out of reach of children.
Option 2: Wall Mounting
- Secure the multi-functional base to the wall with screws.
- Attach the AP to the base.
Option 3: Junction Box Mounting
- Secure the mounting bracket to a junction box with screws.
- Attach the AP to the bracket. Some models may have additional screw holes for further securing.
Software Configuration
Option 1: Standalone Configuration
- Connect your device to the AP using default SSIDs.
- Visit http://tplinkeap.net in a web browser and log in using admin for both Username and Password.
- Follow on-screen instructions to configure the AP, including registering the GPON AP and setting basic configurations.
Option 2: Batch Configuration via Controller
- Obtain a Controller from https://www.tp-link.com or sales staff.
- Launch the Controller and follow the configuration wizard to create a primary wireless network.
- Adopt APs in the Controller management interface, registering GPON APs and configuring basic settings.

- Remove the anti-dust plug, and connect your optical fiber to the AP’s GPON Port. Route excess fiber behind the device.
- Connect your telephone to the AP’s FXS port. If you don’t need telephone service, skip this step.
- Connect the AP to power.
- If the AP has a Power port, connect the AP to your power socket with the power adapter.
- If the AP has an AC Power Input port, connect the AP to your AC power cable with cord end terminals.
- Warning: The product can only be installed by a skilled person!
- Install the AP based on the provided accessories. If your AP supports multiple installation options, you can choose one according to your needs.
- Note: Accessories and operations may vary by model. For details, refer to the product manual.
