To Install OBS
-
After installation, open the program and press the “+” sign to create a new source under the “Sources” tab.

Press “Video Capture Device” and name it whatever you want, then press OK.

Set the device: USB3.0 Video.

Audio Output Mode: Capture Only Mode.

Open “Use Custom Audio Device.
-
Audio Device: Digital Audio Interface (USB 3.0 Audio).

Close the Signal Source tab.
In OBS Settings, Go To Audio -
Under Audio, disable all global audio settings but leave Microphone/Auxiliary Audio alone.

Set Microphone/Auxiliary Audio: Digital Audio Interface (USB 3.0 Audio)

Press Apply, then press OK.
Under The Audio Tab (Not Settings) -
Under the Audio tab (next to Source), right-click Microphone/Auxiliary Audio, then press Advanced Audio Properties.

Set the audio monitoring for the microphone/auxiliary audio to “Monitor (mute output) only”.
Go To PC Settings > System > Sound -
Input > Set As Laptop Microphone

All Sound Devices > Input Devices > Digital Audio Interface. Make sure it is not set to the default.

All Sound Devices > Input Devices > Laptop Microphone. make sure it is set to default.
Go To Discord -
If the application detects a new device (capture card) and asks if you want to switch to the new audio device, click No Switch.

User Settings > Voice & Video > Input > Laptop Microphone.

User Settings > Voice & Video > Output > Laptop Speakers.

The device can now stream without audio issues.
To stream a game in full screen on Discord, simply right-click on the screen in OBS > Open Window Projector (Preview). Then go to Discord, click Screen Sharing, and select that option in the Applications tab. Show the game for viewers only, then on your computer, right-click on the OBS screen > Open “Full Screen Projector (Preview)” and you’ll be able to watch the game in full screen.

To check if your microphone on Discord is working properly, mute OBS turn off screen sharing and see if your icon in the Discord call turns green when you are not talking.

If the icon turns green, it means that due to the capture card, other people in the call can hear the sound through the microphone.
Solution: Go to PC Settings > System > Sound > All Sound Devices > Digital Audio Interface. Turn it off and then back on. -
Then go back to Discord and check to see if the Change Audio Device prompt window appears, if it does, press No Switch.

After that, you never encountered any more problems and can stream normally on Discord.

It will not work with AV-based components such as those on the N64 and Gamecube. You need to use other devices, it is only compatible with modern HDMI/HD outputs.

It doesn’t come with any special software, to capture and record gameplay footage and audio you need to use freeware such as OBS broadcaster.
