GENERAL
- Read this instruction manual carefully and keep it in a safe place for future reference.
- Correct use and maintenance of this product is essential.
MAINTENANCE
- Regularly inspect the gate for proper operation, and tighten and adjust its components to ensure safe and smooth functioning.
- Conduct regular checks on all parts, and if any component is damaged or missing, discontinue use.
- Refer to pages 17 to 20 for operation and cleaning instructions.
WARNING
- To prevent serious injury or death, securely install a gate or enclosure and use it according to manufacturer instructions.
- Incorrect installation can be dangerous.
- Danger to older children if climbing over the product.
- Discontinue the use of the safety barrier if it becomes damaged, broken or disassembled.
- The safety barrier must not be fitted across windows.
- Never install this product on glass doors. Install this product against reliable doors or walls.
- If the safety barrier is used at the top of the stairs, it should not be positioned below the top level.
- The minimum distance to the first step of the stairs is 25cm (10″) when used at the top of the stairs.
- If the safety barrier is used at the bottom of the stairs, it should be positioned at the front of the lowest tread possible.
- This safety barrier is for domestic use only.
- This safety barrier has a manual closing system.
- Do not use the safety barrier if any components are damaged or missing.
- Children have died or been seriously injured when gates / enclosures are not securely installed.
- Always check that the safety barrier is correctly closed.
- Only operate when the locking/latching mechanism is securely engaged.
- The gate must be installed as close to the ground as possible, as per the installation guides.
- Do not use if a child is capable of climbing over or removing/opening the gate or enclosure.
- Regularly check that the safety barrier is properly installed and secure.
- ALWAYS install and use gates/enclosures as directed, using all required parts. All parts should be obtained from after-sales support.
- The barrier must be fitted between rigid surfaces such as plasterboard, timber or hard wall.
- This product is intended for use with children from 6 to 24 months or small to medium pets from 4.5kg (10 Lbs) up to 18kg (40 lbs).
- Do not put any goods that can be grabbed by children or pets near this product to prevent injury.
- Before using this product, carefully inspect for any loose parts and whether any parts need to be tightened.
- NEVER use it to keep children away from the pool.
- Never leave a child unattended when using this product.
- You MUST install mounting hardware to keep the gate in place. Without mounting hardware, the child can push out and escape.
MOUNTINGS
- Selecting the location for installing the gates. The gate must be installed in a structurally sound opening. Ensure that the mounting surface (wall, door, stair posts, etc.) is secure, sturdy, and has a flat surface.
- A. Within the door frame

- The opening direction of the gate can be adjusted according to your needs.
- Consider which side is more convenient for the handle position.
- If the gate is installed at the bottom of the stairs, it should be installed at the lowest step to prevent children from climbing up the stairs. If the gate is installed at the top of the stairs, it should be installed approximately 20cm (8 inches) away from the top step to prevent children from falling down the stairs.
- Make sure that the gate is mounted firmly and evenly in a vertical position.
- The gate should not be installed in the following locations.
- a. Do not install at the top of the stairs to prevent the danger of falling.
- b. Do not install skirting to prevent babies and pets from getting through the gap.
- c. Do not install it on the window in case the glass breaks.
- d. Do not install between the stairs to prevent danger.
TOOLS REQUIRED
Choose the right accessories according to the wall surface
Warning: Do not install on glass or plasterboard walls.

- Locate the wood stud and follow the wood mounting instructions.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
INSTALLATION
Gate Placement: Suitable placement of Gate and Catch Mount
Movable Lower Bracket
- Adjust the movable bracket according to the height of the skirting.
- If there is no skirting on the wall, the fixed position of the movable bracket should not be more than 5″ above the ground.
Installation Steps
- Apply the corresponding-shaped auxiliary stickers to the upper and lower brackets, then install the brackets onto the gate.
- NOTE: The sticker is only used to assist in the positioning of the bracket, and can not be used as a strong fixing sticker.
- a. Choose the location for installing the gate, ensuring that the gate is level and perpendicular to the wall and that the bottom of the main gate is touching the ground.
- b. Peel off the backing of the adhesive on the back of the gate with brackets, and stick it to the wall to facilitate positioning.
- NOTE: If there is a skirting on the wall, you can adjust the movable lower bracket to avoid it.
- Remove the gate from the upper and lower brackets as indicated by the arrows, and mark the hole positions on both brackets. Then, remove the brackets from the wall.
- Drill holes at the marked locations, insert wall plugs and screw the brackets into place using the holes.
- After securing the brackets, install the gate onto the brackets following the directions shown in the diagram. The gate will lock with a “click” and the window will show a red locked status if installed correctly.
- Install the bottom movable bracket onto the lower bracket following the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Apply the auxiliary stickers to the Upper Latch and Lower Latch and pre-install them onto the safety gate. Open the safety gate horizontally to the opposite wall and position it correctly. Remove the backing of the auxiliary stickers and first stick the Upper Latch to the wall, marking the latch position.
- a. Apply the auxiliary adhesive stickers to the upper and lower latches.
- b. Pre-install the latches onto the gate.
- c. Open the gate horizontally towards the opposite wall and ensure the correct installation position.
- d. Remove the backing of the adhesive from the auxiliary stickers.
- e. Stick the upper and lower latches in their respective positions and make appropriate markings.
- Drill holes at the marked locations, insert wall plugs and screw the latch into place using the holes. Follow the same process as in step 7 to install the Lower Latch.
- Once installation is complete, check if all components are secure- ly installed. Then, open the safety gate and inspect if the components align with the wall. If there are any uneven areas, readjust the positions of the Upper Latch and Lower Latch accordingly.
To Attach
- Attach the gate to the gate bracket, align the gate with the bracket hooks and slide it straight down.
- The gate will lock with a “click” and the window will show a red locked status if installed correctly.
To Remove
- To remove the gate from the Mounts, push and hold the release button while sliding the gate upwards.
OPERATION
HOW TO OPEN AND LOCK
- Press “PUSH” + Push up
- Press and hold the “PUSH” button, then simultaneously push the button in the unlocking direction.
- When the green colour appears, it indicates that it is in the unlocked state.
- Pull
- Hold the handle and pull it out horizontally.
- Fixed + Locking
- Hook the handle onto the latch, and then press “push”, the red colour indicates the lock state, the gate will not be able to be pushed open.
HOW TO PROPERLY RETRACT THE GATE
When the safety gate is not in use, it can be retracted to save more space.
- Set the lock to an unlocked state, and remove the gate curtain from the latch, while the mesh is retracting, the part holding the handle needs to be level with the ground and retract the safety door at an even speed. Please don’t swing up and down drastically in the process of retracting, otherwise you can’t retract it to the correct position.
- When retracting the safety gate with the gate lock in the closed position, the locking mechanism will emit a “Ka-Ka-Ka” alert sound. Please make sure to unlock the gate lock before smoothly retracting the safety gate.
- Warning: Always hold the handle firmly when the safety gate is retracting, never release the handle, the force of retracting can be dangerous.
SUPPORT MAINTENANCE & CARE
- The gate must be fitted according to instructions, to ensure it works correctly.
- Regularly check the gate to ensure it is fitted properly and securely. Adjust it as required.
- Regularly check that the brackets and hooks are securely in place.
- If your gate is used in an outdoor environment, in the event of inclement weather (heavy rain, snow, hail, extreme cold) please retrieve it and place it indoors to avoid damage.
- Do not use the safety gate if any components are damaged or missing.
- To clean, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge using mild detergent and warm water.
- Never clean with abrasive, ammonia-based, bleach-based, or alcohol-based cleaners.
- Any additional and replacement parts should be obtained from the Momssy store.
