General safety instructions
- Before commissioning this device please read the instruction manual carefully.
- Please keep these instructions, the guaranty certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging!
- The device is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use!
- Always remove the plug from the socket whenever the device is not in use, when attaching accessory parts, cleaning the device or whenever a disturbance occurs. Switch off the device before. Pull on the plug, not on the cable.
- In order to protect children from the dangers of electrical appliances, never leave them unsupervised with the device. Consequently, when selecting the location for your device, do so in such a way that children do not have access to the device. Take care to ensure that the cable does not hang down.
- Test the device and the cable regularly for damage. If there is damage of any kind, the device should not be used.
- Do not repair the device yourself, but take this to nearest authorized service station.
- Keep the device and the cable away from heat, direct sunlight, moisture, sharp edges and such like.
- Never use the device unsupervised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this is only for a moment.
- Do not use the device outdoors.
- Under no circumstances must the device be placed in water or other liquid, or come into contact with such. Do not use the device with wet or moist hands.
- Should the device become moist or wet, remove the mains plug from the socket immediately. Do not reach into the water.
- Use the device only for the intended purpose.
- The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are old than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- WARNING: This electrical appliance contains a heating function surfaces, also different than the functional surfaces, can develop high temperatures. Since temperatures are differently perceived by different persons, this equipment shall be used with CAUTION. The equipment shall be touch only at intended handles and gripping surfaces, and use heat protection like gloves or similar. Surfaces other than intended gripping surfaces shall get sufficiently time to the cool down before getting touched.
Special safety notes
- The baking surfaces get very hot. Touch the handles only.
- Put the unit down onto a heat-resistant surface or mat In order to prevent heat from building up, do not put the unit directly underneath a cupboard. Ensure that there is enough space all around.
- Beware of steam coming out when you open the baking section.
- The bread can burn, so never use the sandwich maker near or below curtains and other inflammable materials!
- A risk of fire and electrical shock exists in all electrical appliances and may cause personal injury or death.
Please follow all safety instructions.
- If the supply cord is damaged. it must be replaced by the manufacture or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not immerse the appliance in any liquid.
- The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
Starting-up the unit

NON-STICK COATING
Lightly grease the baking surfaces before the unit is used for the first time. Use the appliance for about 10 minutes with the toasting surfaces closed(see”using the unit”). Then wipe it down with a damp cloth. -
Please do not eat the first pieces of toast you make.
Using the unit
- Put the plug into an earthed 220-240V, 50/60HZ mains socket. The right LED (POWER) light up and the left LED lights up too.
- Keep the baking unit closed during the warming-up time.
- Open the cover and place each toast. Then close the lid gently. Block the handle with the hinge. The left control lamp goes off after a few seconds, baking is finished.
- Open the lid and remove the slices of toast with a wooden fork or the like. Do not use pointed or sharp objects to avoid damaging the coating of the baking surfaces.
- The baking section should always be closed in the intervals between baking.
Cleaning & maintenance
- Pull out the mains plug and allow the unit to cool down.
- Brush away remains of crumbs from the baking surfaces.
- Clean the machine only with a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive detergents.
Correct Disposal of this product
- This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU.
- To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
Warranty Information
- The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 2 years, starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
- The warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship.
- The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorized service centre. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date )must be submitted.
- The warranty will not apply in cases of:
- Normal wear and tear
- Incorrect use,e.g.overloading of the appliance,use of non-approved accessories
- Use of force, damage caused by external influences
- Damage caused by non-observance of the user manual, e.g.connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the installation instructions
- Partially or completely dismantled appliances
