II. How to Get Started
(1) A 16G microSD card is built in this product, and cannot be removed
by yourself.
In order to keep the microSD card in good condition and to overwrite earlier files when the video size is out of memory range, please format it regularly. Reformatting will clear all your stored content, so it is important to export the video first.
(2) Charging the battery
For the best experience, it is recommended to fully charge the battery before the first use. Charging method is described as follows:
Method 1:
Charging by the charger
Method 2:
Charging by the computer
Attention:
- Connect the wireless desktop charger to your computer or other USB charging adapter via the included USB-C cable.
- Ensure that the product is switched off with the tail placed downward in the wireless desktop charger; otherwise it can’t be fully charged.
- One of the indicator lights on the top of the camera will light up (lighting dimly) during charging, and will light brightly after charging is completed. When charging via the computer, make sure that the computer is powered on. If the camera status indicator is not on, try to use another USB port with a power supply capacity of 5V/1A.
- The charging base is not waterproof, so do not charge the battery with water; otherwise the charger may be damaged. It takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge the battery. If you need more information about battery maintenance, please refer to the Disclaimer and Safety Tips.
(3) Switching On and Off
Switch-On: Press the slide switch to the marked direction, hold the slide switch and slide it towards the camera lens, the camera status indicator (yellow) will light up, then the camera will beep for a few seconds, and the status indicator will flash and stay on, indicating that the camera is switched on normally.
Switch-Off: Slide the switch to the tail of the camera to switch it off, and the indicators will all go out.
(4) Video Recording
A few seconds after the camera is successfully switched on, the status indicator will flash slowly and the camera will beep twice, indicating that the video recording has been enabled automatically. For segmented video recording, the default length of each segment is 3 min. You can adjust the recording time by yourself on the APP.
Video resolution
| Optimal Purpose
---|---
1080pHD@30FPS
| Normally, the frame rate of 30FPS underwater can take smooth and realistic images, and the captured images can be shared on social media.
720pHD@60FPS
| It is ideal for a variety of cases. If you need to take slow-motion videos or smoother videos, you can use 60FPS mode, but the video will take up more space accordingly in this mode.
(5) Wi-Fi Connection
A few seconds after the camera is successfully switched on, the Wi-Fi will
automatically turn on for 5 min. If the phone is not connected to open the APP
within 5 min, the Wi-Fi will enter the sleep mode automatically. Enter the Wi-
Fi connection interface of mobile phone/tablet PC, and connect the Wi-Fi named
“CCanFish_xxxxxx” without password.
* Special attention should be paid to the fact that since water can
absorb a great number of electromagnetic waves, when the antenna of the
product is submerged into water, the Wi-Fi signal will not be transmitted back
to the mobile phone/tablet PC.

III. Operating Instruction for Different Fishing Methods
Connection and Operation
In all fishing methods, it is recommended to use a rig that is lighter and thinner than the main line, so that your camera can be kept on the main fishing line to the greatest extent possible in case the lure gets stuck or the rig breaks.
(1) Conventional casting rod
Attach the camera to the fishing line as shown.
- Mainline
- Lure Camera
- Guide line
After the camera is connected, the rod can be cast normally, but it should be
noted that the casting distance may be longer after the weight is increased.
When casting, you are recommended to adopt side cast rather than overhead
cast.
(2) Trolling
Attach the camera to the fishing line as shown.
- Mainline
- Counterweight
- Lure Camera
- Guide line
After the camera is connected, you can troll normally. If you troll faster, it is recommended to add a counterweight on the main line (as shown in the figure) to ensure that the camera will not float up when the speed is high. The counterweight can be adjusted according to your preset trolling speed.
(3) Bottom fishing
Attach the camera to the fishing line as shown; there are two fixing ways for the bottom fishing according to different needs.
Method 1:
- Mainline
- Lure Camera
- Guide line
Method 2:
- Mainline
- Counterweight
- Lure Camera
- Guide line
After the camera is connected, you can fish normally. It is recommended to sink slowly, because fast speed will cause impact, and the camera may be damaged.
(4) Float fishing
1. Turn on the camera, then set the buoyancy ring from the charging end of the camera towards the lens, and make it reach the middle position.
- Connecting the main line
- Connect the guide line
2. Attach the camera to the fishing line as shown.
- Mainline
- Buoyancy ring
- Guide line
After the camera is connected, you can fish normally. In a float fishing environment, the user can review the screen through mobile application in real time within the effective range of Wi-Fi. However, in the case that the camera is flooded due to strong wind and big waves, the Wi-Fi signal may be interfered, resulting in the screen lagging.
