Tongsheng Q8 Smart Lock User Manual

Setting brief

1. Doorbell function
   Press the doorbell button on keypad. The smart lock will ring the bell.

2. Restored factory settings
   Press the SET button about 6 seconds. There will be a voice to remind restore factory setting. Press button # on keypad to confirm. Press button on keypad to cancel. Any Human face, Fingerprint, Password, MF Cards can be unlock the lock. The lock unlock direction and motor torque won’t be changed after restored the lock.

3. Low voltage warning
   Once the voltage lower than 25%. The lock will occur a voice to warning the battery will out of power, Please change the battery. The battery power still can unlock the lock about 50 times when the voltage lower than 25%.

4. Emergency power by external power source
   When the battery run out of power. User can insert a cable to USB interface and connect to an external power source for emergency power charge. The lock can be unlock after the emergency power charge for about 30 seconds.

5. Illegal user alarm.
   Continue to input 5 times wrong unlock information, The unlock information include Human face, Fingerprint, Password, MF Cards. That the lock body will remind the lock. manager there is illegal user and block the lock for 90 seconds. The lock will recover the normal status after 90 seconds.

User settings

Preparation for setting the lock. **

For the first use, Please fully charge the battery then put it into the battery box, Close the battery cover, Then the smart lock will on the standby state.

Adding Master Password When Initial Use

1. Press the key to start, then press the # key, the voice prompt “Add a management user, please enter a 6-8 digit password”, the user enters a 6-8 digit password, and press the # key to confirm
2. Voice prompt “Please enter the same password again”, and then enter the same password
3. Voice prompt “User 000 added successfully”, the system automatically jumps to the main menu, the user exits or performs other operations according to the voice navigation

Going to the Main Menu

Touch the screen to light up the keypad. Press “*” and then “#” onto the main menu or press the SET button on the rear lock plate. To enter the main menu, you must enter the administrator information to verify. After onto the main menu, the voice prompt “Please press the number to select the operation”, the user can press the corresponding number to select the operation according to the menu number.

Adding Users

1. Adding human face: Press “*#+Admin+#+1+2+1″ Voice prompt”Please input human face/Fingerprint/Password/Card”, Then please stand on front of viewer about 30~80CM to input face.
2. Add fingerprint: Press “#+Admin password+#+1+2+2″Then the user places his finger on the fingerprint sensor and the voice prompt “please press your finger again”, the user places the same finger on the sensor 4times. The voice prompt “Successfully added, can be added continuously. To exit, please press the key”, the user can continue to add more Fingerprint or exit by press” ”.
3. Add password: Press “*#+Admin password+#+1+2+3” Then the user enters a 6 to 8-digit password, presses the # key to confirm, the voice prompt “Please enter the same password again”, and the user enters the same password. Voice prompt “Added successfully”
4. Add cards: Press “#+Admin password+#+1+2+4” The user brings the card close to the antenna receiving area, and the voice prompt “Add successfully””, the user can continue to add more Cards or exit by press””.

User capacity

Fingerprint/Password/Card, But just can unlock the lock..
Human face| 50| Nil| The human face user need to be catch by radar.

Delete user

Delete user by repeat user information

1. The voice prompt “Please verify the user to be deleted”, the user can input the Human face, Password, Fingerprint, Card to be deleted. If the user exists in the system, the voice prompt “Delete successfully”, if the user does not exist, the voice prompt “Operation failed”. Voice prompt “can be deleted continuously, please press the key to exit”, the user can input the deletion user continuously

Human face : The user face need to on front of the camera 30~80cm.
Fingerprint : Input the Fingerprint want to be deleted on senser.
Password : Input the password want to be deleted.
Card: Put the card want to be delete close to the keypad.

Delete users by number

1. The voice prompt “Please enter the user number to be deleted”, the user can enter a three-digit user number, such as “001”. If the user exists in the system, the voice prompt “Delete succeeded”, if the user does not exist, the voice prompt “Operation failed”. Voice prompt “Can be deleted continuously, please press key to exit”, the user can enter the user number continuously to delete the user

Time setting

Voice prompt “Please enter the time”, enter the time according to the time format displayed on the interface

Installation setting

1. Lock open direction setting
   
   Press “1” to setting the lock open direction.

2. Automatic lockout
   
   Press number “2” to setup the automatic lockout function and torque sensitivity. Can be choose automatic lockout torque Low/Middle/High. The lock should be lock properly then press lockout button. The lock will be automatic lockout on this position from next time.

3. Lock
   

4. Anti-skid Alarm setting
   Press “1” to set up the Anti-skid Alarm. The lock will make a sound to alarm if there is someone to pick lock. Once lock has pair network. The lock will send alarm message to remind user once someone to pick the lock.

5. Torque setting
   Press “2” to set up the motor torque force value. The user can choose: Torque setting (LOW). Torque setting 【Middle). Torque setting (High】

6. Automatic lockout time
   Press “3” to set up the automatic lockout time. The time range can be set up 2s 9s.

7. Human face recognition setting
   
   Suggestion to set up the induction to me 【LOW】 if there are too many people pass by lock.

Query the number of users

Read the record

1. Query in order
   
   Press 1 to enter the record query interface. Press “2” to view the previous unlocking record, and press “8” to view the next unlocking record. Press the “*” key to return to the previous menu.

2. Query by time
   
   Press the 2 key and enter the time you want to query, such as “2017/06/03”, then enter “170603” in turn to enter the unlock record query interface. Press “2” to view the previous unlocking record, and press “8” to view the next unlocking record. Press the “*” key to return to the previous menu

Language settings

After language switching, the default language setting cannot be restored even if the factory settings are restored.

Voice settings

After the system restarts, voice is turned on by default

  • Android: Google Play to search “TUYA SMART™ and download.
  • IOS: Apple Store to search “TUYA SMART” and download,

Register and log in App
APP registration: if you do not have an APP account, you can choose to register or log in by SMS verification code. Click “create a new account to enter the account registration page. According to the prompt to obtain SMS verification code, set the password.
If you have an existing account, click “login with an existing account to log in to the APP. Password, verification code, and social account login are supported.

Create Homes

Create your home after registering and logging in successfully. Each account can create and add multiple homes, and devices can be grouped by room in the home. Weather and other functions depend on the geographical location of the family, which is recommended to set in advance

Add WiFi lock

1. On the Tab of “my home”, click in the upper right corner to enter the interface in figure 1, select the WiFi door lock in security sensor part and enter the page in figure 2″

2. Pair with Tuya App
   

3. The voice prompt “Connecting network”. Please operation according to App request to connect WiFi.

Dynamic password
Click to get the dynamic password, Meanwhile copy the password text for you

User Management

User can be added, Deleted or changed in member management.
Only the administrator user of app is allowed to do that.”

Message center
Message center contains alarm information, doorbell call information and hijacking alarm information, which can be inquired.

Record Log
24/7 Record Log, arranged in reverse chronological order. The unlocked ID with the associated user name will directly display the user name, while the unlocked ID without the associated name will display the specific unlock ID

Factory Data Reset
Click the icon in the upper right corner of the main interface. Find the Factory Data Reset and click.
The Factory Data Reset can also be operated on the lock. Please refer to the instruction manual for details.
