Product Usage Instructions

Installation

  1. Ensure the product is placed on a stable surface.
  2. Connect the TRUEBLU to a power source using the provided power adapter.
  3. If using the Bluetooth Control Software, download and install it on your device.
  4. For RS232 programming, ensure proper connection to modify settings.

Operation

  1. Switch the audio input by using the Input Selector button on the front panel.
  2. Connect external devices to the 3.5mm auxiliary input for wired playback.
  3. To pair a device, press and hold the Pairing Button until the LED starts flashing.
  4. Use the Bluetooth Media Controls to adjust volume, play/pause, or skip tracks on the paired device.

FAQ

  1. Q: How can I disable the pairing timeout?
    A: The pairing timeout can be disabled in the Bluetooth Control Software settings. Refer to the software manual for detailed instructions.

  2. Q: What if my device does not pair with TRUEBLU?
    A: If pairing fails and the LED turns off, ensure that the device is in discoverable mode and try pairing again. If issues persist, refer to troubleshooting section in the user manual or contact customer support.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

  1. READ these instructions.

  5. Do not use this apparatus near water.

  6. Clean only with dry cloth.

  7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

  8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

  9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety.
    If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

  10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit
    from the apparatus.

  11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

  12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used,
    use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

  13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

  14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as
    power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been
    exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

  15.  This appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no object filled with liquid such as vases shall be placed on the apparatus.

  16. Plug this apparatus to the proper wall outlet and make the plug to be disconnected readily operable.

  17. Mains plug is used as disconnected device and it should remain readily operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet completely.

  18. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.

  19. An appliance with a protective earth terminal should be connected to a mains outlet with a protective earth connection.

  20. The apparatus should be disconnected from the mains completely before speaker wiring. The speaker output should be proper protected from direct contact and pay attention to speaker  connections, terminals and speaker wiring during normal operation.

  • TRUEBLU
  • The Australian Monitor TRUEBLU is a programmable Bluetooth® audio receiver contractor tool. Featuring front panel media controls, pairing and source selector buttons as well as a 3.5mm auxiliary input for wired devices.
  • The TRUEBLU can be programmed using either the free downloadable Bluetooth Control software or RS232 to modify the broadcast name, PIN number and various security features.

FRONT PANEL

  1. INPUT SELECTOR
    • Switches the audio input between the Bluetooth receiver and the 3.5mm auxiliary input.
  2. 3.5MM AUXILIARY INPUT
    • A stereo 3.5mm line level auxiliary input. Connect wired devices to this connector and select the AUX input on the input selector button.
  3. PAIRING BUTTON
    • Press until the LED starts flashing which indicates pairing mode entered.
    • When the device pairs to the TRUEBLU the PAIR LED will stay on.
    • If no device pairs, and the pairing timeout is exceeded, the LED will turn off and the device will enter a non-discoverable state. (If required, the timeout can be disabled in software).
  4. BLUETOOTH MEDIA CONTROLS
    • These buttons will send commands to the paired device, e.g. a mobile phone, to modify volume, play/pause or skip tracks.

NOTE: It does NOT provide any controls for the 3.5mm auxiliary input.
NOTE: Some devices disable volume syncing. Consult your device manual how to enable volume sync.

BROADCAST NAME LABEL
The Bluetooth broadcast name can be applied here.
It informs end users the name of the device they should connect to from their remote device.

REAR PANEL

  1. BALANCED AUDIO OUTPUTS
    Stereo balanced XLR outputs. If mono output is required, it can be configured using the Bluetooth control software via the USB-C connector. Mono is outputted on both LEFT and RIGHT.

  2. UNBALANCED AUDIO OUTPUTS
    Stereo unbalanced RCA outputs. If mono output is required, it can be configured using the Bluetooth control software via the USB-C connector. Mono is outputted on both LEFT and RIGHT.

  3. RS232
    3-pin (3.81mm) euroblock connector for connection to external control systems for Bluetooth configuration.
    Note: See SERIAL COMMAND PROTOCOL section on page 10

  4. PAIRING
    Dedicated pairing input to allow pairing from a remote contact closure. The PAIR input must be switched to GND for at least 150ms to trigger the remote pairing operation.

  5. POWER INPUT
    Accepts +15VDC (50mA) to +24VDC(60mA) input.

  6. USB-C CONNECTOR
    Used to program the TRUEBLU via the PC control software.

  • Bluetooth Name:
    • TRUEBLU-XXXXXXXX ( where XXXXXXXX is the last 8 digits of the product serial number located on the base of the product)
  • Bluetooth PIN: 2626 (AMAM)
  • Requires PIN: Enabled`
  • Connection History: Remember last 8 devices
  • Pairing Timeout: 60s
  • Support Phone Calling: Disabled
  • Audio Output Mode: Stereo

If the default settings need to be changed, use the Bluetooth control software by following the instructions below.

SOFTWARE SETUP

  1. Download and install the Bluetooth Control software
    The Bluetooth control software is a free download from, www.australianmonitor.com.au/pages/software- downloads

  2.  Connect the PC to the TRUEBLU using a USB-C cable (not supplied)

    • Note: 5V power will be supplied via the USB to the TRUEBLU for programming. It does NOT require the +15V to 24VDC input power.
    • Note: The audio playback is not possible with only the 5V USB power connected
  3. Select the TRUEBLU device from the connection window

  4. Select the CONNECT button to connect to the TRUEBLU
