Marking out the ceiling before installation

Attention!
For max. total height, the distance between the bottom of the cooker hood and the top of the chimney, see dimensions drawing Fig. 1. When installing with an extended upper chimney section or if the cooker hood will be fitted with a carbon filter kit, refer to the separate in-structions and measurements.

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-4

Protect the stove top with a piece of cardboard from the packaging, Fig. 3. Place the cooker hood on the stovetop. Make sure it is flat with the filter resting on the surface.

Attention!
To avoid the risk of head injury, do not allow any part of the product to protrude beyond the front of the stovetop.

Use a plumb line to mark the centre of the cooker hood on the ceiling. Locate the centre of the drill template supplied, A Fig. 3, against the marking in the ceiling so that the cooker hood ends up in the intended position.

Attention!
Turn the drill template so that the arrow points in the same direction as the front of the cooker hood.

  • Mark out the template screw holes, A, and the connection to the outlet air duct. Drill holes in the centre of all the marked screw holes. Check which of the fastening alternatives apply and adapt the holes to fit screws/plugs or nuts, bolts and washers. If the supplied plugs are to be used, drill 6 mm holes. Insert wall plugs D into the holes. Check that the screws and plugs used are intended for the ceiling material. Cut out holes for connecting outlet air. Insert and tighten screws C into the pre-drilled holes for the keyhole attachments until they protrude a few mm, Fig. 5 .
  • Check that the duct connection and electri-cal connection can still be made once the po-wer is installed in the ceiling.

Assembly

Adjusting frame height

Adjust frame height to ceiling height and cooker hood installation height. Measure the total ceiling height. Deduct cooker height, installation height and the chassis dimensions; see dimensions drawing Fig. 1 .

Frame measurement = Total ceiling height – cooker height – installation height – chassis height.
When adjusting the height of the frame, remove the screws, (8 pcs) Fig. 4A. Adjust the height of the frame and lock it by screwing in the screws again. It may be ne-cessary to move the screws to other hole positions.
Adjusting the length of the hose/duct for connection to the outlet air duct Fig. 4B
Measured the frame’s adjusted length. De-duct the connection box dimensions; see measurements drawing, Fig. 1.

Length of hose/duct = Frame measure-ment – 200 mm.

Installing chimney drums

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-4

Place the adjusted frame on the floor or on a table that is protected with a piece of cardboard from the packaging.
Slide the two drums onto the frame.
Fasten the outer drum to the frame using screws E, Fig. 5A.

Ceiling installation
Lift up the frame and slot the keyholes over the four screws D Fig. 5, installed in the ceiling/extension section.
Position the frame and tighten the screws. Lock in place using the fifth screw, H Fig. 5.

Attention!
Turn the frame so that the arrow is on the same side as the front of the cooker hood.

Frame installation
Remove the grease filter and motor unit Fig. 11 Fig. 12.
Adapt the length of the connection hose/duct according to frame height, the ceiling connection and the height of the connec-tion box (200 mm).

Tape the downdraught damper J into posi-tion using tape K, Fig. 6
If the connection is Ø 125 mm, a reducing coupling sleeve must be used. Secure the reducer to the downdraught damper with tape K.
Fit the connection hose/duct to the cooker hood’s outlet air collar.

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-8

Slide the hose/duct, the electrical connection cable and the cooker hood into the frame and fasten the chassis using screws F, Fig. 7A.
Reinstall the grease filter and motor unit.
Connect the hose/duct to the outlet air duct in the ceiling, Fig. 7B.

Connection to exhaust flue
Connect the cooker hood with a pipe or tubing Ø 160 mm.

Attention!
When using a connecting tubing, the tubing must be stretched and assembled to fit directly next to the connection, Fig. 8.

Installing the upper chimney drum

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-10

Pull the chimney drum into position and attach it using screws E, Fig. 9.
Removal of protective plastic
Cut the protective plastic in the joint between the upper and lower drum using a sharp knife or razor blade, Fig. 9. Remove the plastic from the chimney.
Remove all protective plastic from the filter and any other parts of the product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

FUNCTION SWITCH

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-11

  • A. Lighting.
  • B. Ventilation mode. The fan runs at low speed for 60 minutes.
  • C. Speed 1 on fan motor.
  • D. Speed 2 on fan motor.
  • E. Speed 3 on fan motor. If the button is held in for 2 seconds, the fan switches to intensive mode. After 7 minutes, the fan motor returns to its previously set mode. The fan can be started and stop-ped with buttons B-E.

It is a good idea to turn on the fan before starting to cook, as this prevents cooking smells from spreading into the room. Adjust the speed of the fan depending on the type of food you are preparing. If possible, allow the fan to run at a low speed for a few mi-nutes after you’ve finished cooking. You may also wish to run the fan on the low setting when the oven is in use or after using the dishwasher.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Attention!
In order to ensure operation, quality and safety after servicing and maintenance, use only original parts.

Cleaning
The cooker hood should be cleaned with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. With normal usage, the filters must be cleaned at least every other month. Clean more often after intensive use.

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-12

Remove the grease filters by opening the snap retainer, Fig. 11 Handle the filters carefully, taking care not to bend them.
Soak the filter in a solution of warm water and washing-up liquid. The filter can also be washed in a dishwasher.
Refit the grease filters after cleaning, making sure they snap firmly into place.

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-13

The motor core, side grilles and fan interior must be cleaned at least twice a year.
The motor core is removed by first disconnecting the contact on the side of the motor unit, Fig. 12A. Rotate the latches, Fig. 12B, that lock the motor core in place. Pull the unit outwards so that it is freed from the pins, and then downwards.

Attention!
The motor core should not be washed or exposed to moisture! Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and washing-up liquid.

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-14

One side grille is detached by lifting up the stop lug with a screwdriver and rotating the grille in the direction marked FREE, Fig. 13.
After washing and drying, assemble the parts in reverse order. Check that the parts snap into place and that the motor assembly and electrical connector are properly seated.

REPLACEMENT OF LED LIGHTING AND LED DRIVER

SPISFL-KT-T45-HE-FRI-Cooker-Hood-FIG-15
