IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using.
- Use iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquid.
- The iron should always be turned off [0] (refer to the HOW TO USE section) before plugging into or unplugging from an outlet. Never yank the cord to disconnect from the outlet; instead, grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces. Let the iron cool completely before putting it away.
- Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
- Always disconnect the iron from the electrical outlet when filling with or emptying water and when not in use.
- Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To
- avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron, and take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down or use the surge of steam—there may be hot water in the water tank. Avoid rapid movement of iron to minimize hot water spillage.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed – is stable.
- The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped if there are visible signs of damage or – if it is leaking.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
- To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit.
- If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater than the max rating of the iron shall be used.
- A cord rated for less amperage can result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to overheating.
- Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

- Plug in the iron and let it stand on its heel rest.
- The power indicator light will turn on.
SELECTING TEMPERATURE
- Use the fabric guide on the iron to select the proper temperature setting for the fabric. If unsure of a garment’s fibre, test a small area (on an inside seam or hem) before ironing.
- If there is a brown buildup on the soleplate, lower the setting and/or reduce starch.
- Once you determine the fabric type, set the temperature selector to the appropriate setting.
- Once the iron reaches the selected temperature, the power indicator light will turn off. The light will cycle on and off during ironing.
- When finished ironing, place the iron on its heel rest, turn the temperature selector to OFF and unplug the 3. iron.

- As soon as you pick up the iron, it will start heating again. Wait for the iron to reheat completely before resuming operation.
STEAM IRONING
- Be sure there is water in the water tank.
- Turn the temperature selector between settings 5 and 7.
- If the steam does not start, gently bump the soleplate on UP Unlock the steam button.
- If water drips from vents, turn the selector to a higher setting.
DRY IRONING
- Turn the temperature selector to the desired setting and lock the steam button in the DOWN.
- For extended periods of dry ironing, empty the water from the iron.
