Components
Package
1 x Centrifuge Main Body
1 x Power Adapter
12 x Tube Adaptors
1 x Instruction Manual
1 x Rotor Screwdriver (Tool to unscrew the rotor when it is damaged)
Cautions
- Carefully unpack the centrifuge and place it on a sturdy, level workbench.
- Ensure the centrifuge is maintained in good working condition. Ideally, the ambient temperature should be kept between 59℉-77℉(15°C-25°C).
- Avoid placing the centrifuge in direct sunlight or in areas with extreme temperatures exceeding 86℉(30°C).
- Ensure a clearance of at least 4 inches (10 cm) from other objects around the centrifuge. This is to facilitate proper ventilation.
- Prior to commencing the operation, tweak the leveling feet to secure the centrifuge’s stability on the bench.
- During operation, keep the centrifuge away from heat sources, liquids, and chemicals to prevent any potential damage.
Preparation
- Carefully load the prepared samples into the centrifuge tube. Make sure not to exceed the maximum volume limit.
- Ensure equilibrium between the centrifuge tubes. To maintain this balance, it’s advisable to use a scale to check the weight of each tube.
- Install the rotor. This is achieved by aligning it correctly, rotating it, and then fastening the nut securely.
- Place the tubes onto the rotor. Ensure they are evenly spaced and symmetrical to maintain balance during the centrifuge operation.
Program Presetting
- Start by plugging the centrifuge into the power source and activating the switch located at the back of the device;
- Initiate the preset programs by firmly pressing and holding P1 (P2) until you hear a ‘beep’ sound;
- To set the speed, turn the knob and choose a RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) value ranging from 300 to 5000. Confirm your selection by pressing down on the knob. This will also enable you to adjust the timer;
- For time setting, rotate the knob to select a duration between 30 seconds to 90 minutes. Confirm your selection by pressing the knob again, this will take you to the RCF setting.
- To adjust the RCF (Reactive Centrifugal Force), rotate the knob and choose a value between 10 g to 2600 g. Once again, confirm your selection by pressing the knob.
- Lastly, press P1 (or P2) to go back to the main interface. If everything has been done correctly, your program settings should now be successfully saved.
Operation
-
Upon powering up the centrifuge, press either P1 or P2 to activate the pre-set program. If modifications are needed, simply press the knob to change the settings.
-
Once your program is selected, initiate the operation by pressing the “START/STOP” button. The centrifuge will then accelerate to reach your pre-set RPM.
The timer will begin its countdown once the target RPM is achieved. -
To alter the settings during operation, press the knob to return to the settings interface. You can adjust the settings by rotating and pressing the knob. After making your changes, wait for 5 seconds for the settings to be updated, then you will be redirected to the running interface. If the timer is reset, it will continue to count down from its current point, rather than starting over from zero.
-
The centrifuge will stop operating either when the set time has elapsed or if you press the “START/STOP” button during its operation. The door will automatically unlock when the rotor comes to a complete stop. Press the “DOOR” button to open it and carefully remove the rotor and samples.
Power Outage Safety Measures: If an unexpected power cut occurs while running, the door will automatically lock for safety purposes. To open it, restore the power connection and press the “DOOR” button. Alternatively, you can manually unlock the door by pulling the lever located at the bottom of the centrifuge towards the right.
