This body camera has an advanced recording system with many options and features available. Please review the manual to familiarize yourself with the functions of this camera.

Troubleshooting
If you are having problems with your camera, please first fully charge ii and power ii on, then press the reset button. The reset button will force the camera to shut off. The device will power back on and should now be working properly.

Note: Resetting the device will not delete any files on the camera.

BASIC OPERATION

Power On/Off:

  • Press and hold the Power button (located on the right side of the camera) for about 2 seconds and you will hear a chime. A green indicator light on top of the camera will turn on and remain green while it is powered on. The camera and LCD monitor will turn on and enter into standby mode. The video preview will be displayed on the LCD.
  • The video preview mode displays recording time, battery indicator, device ID, storage capacity, and camera view.
  • Press and hold the Power button for about 2 seconds and the camera will turn off. You will hear a chime and the camera will vibrate before it powers off. The green LED indicator light will also turn off.

Video Recording

  • To record a video, press the Video button (located on the front of the device, the center button).The unit will vibrate and the recording symbol on the LCD display will turn on as a solid red circle. The red LED indicator light will turn on, indicating the camera is now recording.
  • Double press the Record button to stop recording. The unit will vibrate one time and the video camera record symbol will disappear. The LED light will turn back to green and the video will be saved.
  • When recording during the night or in a dark environment the IR LED’s will turn on automatically by default. You can disable this option, or set it to manual. While the device is in manual IR mode, double-press the Power button (located on the right side of the camera). The infrared (IR) LED lights will turn on and the device will enter night mode. Video recorded in this mode will be in black and white.

One Touch Recording
When the unit is powered off, press and hold the record button for 3 seconds. The device will turn on and automatically start video recording.

Photograph Feature

  • To take photos, press the Photo button (located on the front of the device, the smaller button). The camera will take photos similar to a digital camera. When a photo is taken, the LED light will flash red to indicate the photo has been saved.
  • To take photos while video recording, press the Photo button and the camera will capture a photo of the picture recorded at that time without interrupting the video recording.
  • Photos taken in night mode will be in black and white.

Audio Recording:

  • To record audio only, double press the Photo button. The camera will vibrate once briefly and a recording timer will appear on the LCD screen display. The LED indicator will turn red and the camera will begin recording audio.
  • To stop recording audio, double press the Photo button again. The camera will vibrate once briefly and return to the video preview. The audio recording will end and will be saved as an audio file, and the LED indicator will turn back to green.

Flashlight LED Light:
Press and hold the photo button for 2 seconds to turn on the white flashlight LED light. The light will provide illumination to improve image quality when necessary. Press and hold the photo button again to turn the flashlight LED light off.

Video/Photo/Audio Playback
While in standby mode, tap the back button to enter into Playback Menu. Select the file you wish to review then touch to view it.

LED Indicators
Charging Indicator: Blue = Charging (will turn off when fully charged)

Activity Indicator

  • Green = Standby
  • Red = Recording
  • Blinking Red (Rapid) = Post Recording
  • Blinking Red (Slow) = Pre Recording
  • Blinking White = Searching for
  • Wi-Fi Solid White = Connected to Wi-Fi

BASIC OPERATION

Resetting
Use a paper clip or fingernail to press the reset button. You will hear a click after the button is pressed. The camera will automatically reboot when pressed.

Charging: Fully charge the camera using the included USB cable or the charging dock for 3-4 hours. The charging indicator will turn blue when charging. When the device is fully charged, the blue light will turn off .PATROLEYES-PE-IRIS-1080p-Wi-Fi-Police-Body-Camera-

VIDEO SETTINGS

In standby mode, tap the menu button to enter into the main menu, and then tap the “Video Settings” icon. Tap the option you prefer to change, then tap the back button to return to the previous menu. Scroll down by using one finger across the screen without lifting, you can drag up or down to see more.

Resolution
There are six options: 1440p@30fps / 1080p@60fps / 1080p@30fps / 720p@60fps / 720p@30fps / 480p@30fps

Video Quality
There are three options to select from:

High/ Medium/ Low
This refers to the video bitrate. The higher the setting, the better the video quality and the larger the video size.

Video Length
There are five options to select from: 2 min/ 5 min/ 10 min/ 15 min/ 30 min Video length refers to the length of video segments while the device is recording. The minute amount is the length of each video segment before the camera begins a new video file. This will NOT stop the camera from recording, it will just split your videos into smaller, more manageable files. H.265 Encoding
There are two options to select from: Off/ On. Saves over 50% on storage space, and improves video quality.

Photo Size
Select photo resolution size: 3M/ 4M / 5M /SM/ 12M / 16M / 30M / 32M / 40M

Photo Burst Mode
There are eight options: Off/ 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 30

Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
When enabled, this will help reduce video shake.

Pre-record (on/ off)
When enabled, the camera will pre-record video before the record button is pressed. A blue circle will appear on the LCD screen and the activity indicator will blink red. Pre-Record times vary based upon resolution.

Post-record (on/ off)
When enabled, the camera will continue to record 2 minutes after the record button is pressed to stop recording. The activity indicator will blink red rapidly.

Mute Recording
There are three options: Off/ Only Pre-record / On Audio will not be recorded when mute recording is on.

Record Notification
There are six options to select from: Off/ 5 sec / 10 sec / 15 sec / 30 sec / 60 sec When enabled, the camera will vibrate and beep at the set intervals.

SYSTEM SETTINGS

In standby mode, tap the menu button to enter into the main menu, then tap the “System Settings” icon. Tap the option you prefer to change, then tap the back button to return to previous menu. Scroll down by using one finger across the screen without lifting, you can drag up or down to see more.

GPS
There are two options to select from:

On I Off
A GPS watermark will be stamped onto the video.

GPS Alert
There are two options to select from:

Off/ Beep
When enabled, the camera will beep when a GPS signal is achieved.

Time Zone
There is a range of numbers to select from. The GPS will change the date and time accordingly. For example, New York City is EST and will be set to UTC-4.0. Central time zones are UTC-3.0.

Auto Update Time
There are two options to select from:

Off/ On
When enabled, the camera will set the date and time via GPS.

Date Format
There are three options to select from: DD-MM-YYYY / MM-DD-YYYY / YYYY-MM-DD

Date & Time
Allows the user to change the date and time on the camera. You must enter your current password first to edit the date and time.

Vibration
There are two options to select from: On/Off

IR Filter
There are four options to select from: Off / Manual/ Auto/ During Recording

  • Off The IR LEDs will not be active.
  • Manual = The manual IR button must be pressed manually to turn on/off IR LEDs.
  • Auto = The IR LEDs will be turned on/off automatically once the amount of light becomes too low for recording.
  • During Recording The IR LEDs will be turned on/off automatically during video recording only.

IR Sensitivity
The sensitivity setting ranges from 1-10. The higher the setting, the more easily the camera will turn on night vision recording. The lower the setting the darker it will become before night vision recording turns on.

Auto Power Off
There are seven options to select from: Off/ 30 sec/ 1 min/ 3 min/ 5 min/ 10 min/ 30 min Auto Power Off will only power off the device when it has been in standby mode for the selected interval. This will NOT power off the device during recordings.

Enhanced Standby
There are two options to select from: On/ Off On puts the camera into a low power usage state which enables the camera to be instantly powered on and begin recording.

Connection Mode
There are two options to select from: USB / Password USB mode (removes password protection) and Password mode (enables password protection) The default password is 888888 The charging station cannot be used in password mode because the buttons are inaccessible. When using the charging station, refer to page 16 for more information on transferring data.

Wi-Fi Activate

  • There are two options: Off/ Auto
  • Off: Wi-Fi will not turn on.
  • Auto: Wi-Fi automatically will turn on.

Wi-Fi Mode
There are three options (Soft-AP, Station, Direct)

  • Soft-AP: This mode means to use other devices to connect to the Wi-Fi network created by the camera itself.
  • Station: This mode means the camera is connected to an existing Wi-Fi network.
  • Direct: Peer-to-peer connection allows the camera to connect using Wi-Fi direct protocol.

Bluetooth Activate
There are three options: (Off, Auto, Broadcast)

  • Off: Bluetooth is turned off.
  • Auto: Bluetooth is automatically turned on while the camera is powered on.
  • Broadcast: Cameras can get a signal from multiple devices.

LCD Auto Off
There are six options to select from Off/ 10 sec/ 30 sec/ 1 min/ 3 min/ 5 min LCD Auto Off will turn off the LCD display of the camera when it has been in standby mode for the selected interval. This will NOT power off the device.

Key Tone
There are two options to select from: On I Off When enabled, the camera will emit a beep every time a button is pressed.

Volume
Controls the camera’s internal speaker. 0-10 10 being the loudest and O being mute.

Recording Alert Type
There are two options to select from Off/ Beep

  • Off: There will be no beeping sound.
  • Beep: There will be a beep sound at the set interval.

LED Indicators
There are two options to select from: On/Off Setting this to off will disable the top LED lights on the camera.

Stealth Mode
There are two options to select from:

On/Off
Stealth Mode puts your camera into a discrete mode where no LED lights or audible notifications are enabled. Vibration alerts will still be enabled.

Change Password
Allows you to change your password. You must enter your current password to change the password. When entering the current password, tap the character first, and then tap OK to confirm.

Change Device ID
Allows you to change your Device ID. You must enter your current password to change the Device ID.

Change User ID
Allows you to change your User ID. You must enter your current password to change the User ID.

Restore Defaults
Restore all camera settings to default. You must enter your current password to restore to default settings. Tap✓ first, then tap OK to confirm, then the camera will restore to default settings.

About This Device
Location System Info, Total Space, Available Space, Remaining Video, Remaining Audio, Remaining Photos, Battery Status, WLAN MAC, WLAM SSID, WLAN IP, Bluetooth Address, Serial Number, Hardware Version, and Firmware Version will be listed.

PC SOFTWARE – CAM MANAGER

Cam Manager
Recommended only for setting up more than five cameras. Cam Manager is the Windows application used to view, delete and download files and change camera settings.

General User : This mode allows for viewing and downloading media files only. The default password is: 000000
Administrator : This mode allows for changing device settings as well as viewing, downloading and deleting media files. The default password is: 888888

Device ID and User ID:
The Device ID and the User ID must be 6 characters long.

Firmware Version:
Shows the current firmware version of the camera.

Username:
Assign a username to the camera.

Watermark:
Allows the user to set a custom watermark on the video up to 20 characters long.

Sync PC Date/Time:
Syncs the camera’s date and time with the PCs date and time.

Default Settings:
Will reset all camera settings to default.

Format Disk:
Will erase all data on the camera.

Open File Explorer:
Allows access to the camera storage to view evidence. Download Cam Manager at www.stuntcams.com/iris Having trouble with video playback or audio issues? Use VLC Media Player for the best playback experience.

TRANSFERRING FILES

  • File Transfer with USB Cable : (Not using Cam Manager)
  1. Connect your camera to your PC by directly connecting the USB cable to your camera’s USB port.
  2. Enter the password on the device. The default password is 888888.
  3. Navigate to “This PC” and you will see the camera shown as a removable device. Usually the E, For G drive.
  4. After clicking on the removable drive, double-click on the DCIM folder and then double-click on the 1 00MEDIA folder and you will see a list of all video files recorded.
  5. Select all the files on your camera you would like to copy to your computer. After the files have been copied to your computer feel free to delete the files still on your camera to free up storage space.

File Transfer with Charging Station:
For transferring data, make sure the camera is in the USB mode menu setting before connecting the camera to the charging station. If you wish to use the charging station to transfer data while the camera is in password mode, you will need to unlock the camera using either Cam Manager or our PatrolEyes OEMS.

ACCESSORIES

Drop-in Charging Station:
There are two lights on the dock. The light on the front of the dock will light up solid blue when the dock is connected to a power supply. The light in the back is for the spare battery. When there is no spare battery connected, the light will flash blue. When the spare battery is connected, the light will be solid blue. When the spare battery is fully charged, the light will turn off.
