1.1 – What’s inside the box

1.2 – Register your ARC Studio

1.4 – Precautions
Locations
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction:

  • In direct sunlight
  • Location of extreme temperature or humidity
  • Excessively dusty or dirty locations
  • Locations of excessive vibration
  • Close to magnetic fields

Power Supply
Use only the Power supply provided with the unit and connect the cable to the correct port on the device.
Interference with other electrical devices
Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception interference. Operate the unit at a suitable distance from radios and televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force on the button.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean and dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds of flammable polishes.

Keep foreign matter out of your unit
Never set any container with liquid in it near this unit. If liquid gets into the unit, it could cause a breakdown, fire, or electrical shock. Be careful not to let metal objects get into the equipment. If something does slip into the unit, unplug the Power and/or the USB cable, then contact your nearest IK Multimedia dealer or the store where the equipment was purchased.

1.5 – Installation and setup
1.5.1 – Front Panel

  1. POWER LED: This LED is lit when the unit is powered on

  2. SIGNAL/CLIP LED: During normal operation, this LED displays the input signal level:
    Green: audio signal is present
    Red: audio signal is clipping
    When calibration is stored in the unit using the ARC 4 application, this leads to blinks to indicate the calibration loading status:
    Green: calibration file successfully stored
    Red: storing procedure error

  3. CORRECTION: This button enables or disables the audio processing. When CORRECTION is off, the unit is bypassed and the input signal is routed directly to the output.
    Keeping this button pressed during power-up makes the unit boot into DFU mode.

  1. NPUT: XLR balanced inputs connectors.
  2. OUTPUT: XLR balanced output connectors.
  3. USB: Type C USB port for connecting ARC Studio to a Mac/PC.
  4. DC IN: barrel jack for connecting the power supply unit (5V, 3A).

  • Output Impedance (balanced): 50 Ohm
  • Maximum output level: +17 dBu
