1 OPERATION

  1. Connect a power supply to the banana plugs on the front of the unit.
  2. Adjust the power supply to 3 Volts and slowly increase the voltage. If needed spin the armature lightly to start spinning.
  3. Do not exceed 9 V DC.
  4. Do not put fingers in the path of the spinning armature.
  5. Place in different armatures to see how the number of coils affect the performance.

CHANGING THE ARMATURE

To switch to a different armature follow the steps below.

  1. Turn off the power supply and disconnect the wires.
  2. Unscrew the locking screw, hex screw and support screws. See Figure 2.
  3. Remove the retaining plate off the armature.
  4. Pull back on the armature and place it aside.
  5. Place in the new armature by placing the end between the two contact brushes. Keep the rubber spacer next to the front retaining plate. See Figure
  6. Replace the retaining plate over the end of the axis.
  7. Connect the support screws, hex screw and locking screw.
