Troubleshooting

Installation Instructions

  1. Fix the fixing bracket on the base pan with a 13mm screw.
  2. Drill a 6mm hole in the floor and insert a screw anchor.
  3. Align the fixing bracket hole with the floor screw hole and tighten with a 25mm screw.

Operation

  1. Press the hot water button until water flows, then plug the unit into the socket.
  2. Turn on the heating/cooling switch after the power indicator lights up.
  3. Do not plug the ower cord or turn on the heating switch until water flows from the hot water spout.
  4. Turn off the heating/cooling switch and unplug after use. Follow the steps to connect a new water bottle.

FAQ

  • Q: Can I adjust the temperature settings myself?
    A: The thermostat settings have been pre-set by the manufacturer and do not require adjustment.

  • Q: What should I do if the unit will not be used for an extended period?
    A: Unplug the unit to save electricity if it will not be used for a long time.

  • Q: How should I clean the machine?
    A: Never use organic liquids or polishing chemicals to clean the machine; follow the recommended cleaning instructions in the manual.

Thank you for choosing ELECTROLUX. This manual contains all the information you need to safely and correctly use your water dispenser. Please read all the instructions before using the appliance, and keep this manual in a secure place for future reference. Do not remove the rating plate label which is attached adhesive identification label containing the code, model number, manufacturer, and other information. This label will be used by an ELECTROLUX authorized service representative if your water dispenser needs service.

Environmental Notice
The packaging material used is recyclable. We recommend that you separate plastic, paper, and cardboard and give them to recycling agents. According to WEEE (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) guidelines, waste from electrical and electronic devices should be collected separately. If you need to remove of this appliance in the future, do not throw it away with the rest of your domestic garbage. Instead, please take the appliance to the nearest WEEE collecting agents, where available.

Attention

  • Do not try to install or turn on the unit without having read the indicated safety precautions in this manual.
  • The dispenser heats water to a temperature of 90°C. It can cause severe scalding. Please operate it carefully.
  • In case of damage, please contact an authorized technical service agent.
  • Do not disassemble the electrical parts of this appliance. Any repairs done by an unauthorized person may cause serious injuries or property incidents. The adult should supervise the children to make sure the children can not play with the appliance.
  • The appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • This appliance is intended to be for household use only.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
  • To avoid the danger of suffocation, keep plastic bags away from babies and children.
  • WARNING: Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or the built-in structure, clear of obstruction.

Water dispenser information

  1. This unit is designed for drinkable water only and is suitable for bottles of 3 or 5 gallons.

  2. This unit should be used in an environment with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 43°C with relative humidity not higher than 90%.(with a cooling cabinet model not higher than 75%)
    This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as

    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
    • farmhouses and by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments;
    • catering and similar non-retail applications.
  3. This dispenser can provide hot, cold, and room-temperature water.

  4. With the adoption of distinctive thermal isolation technology, this unit can minimize thermal exchange between hot, room temperature, and cold water.

  5. Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a flammable propellant in this appliance.

  6. Regional restrictions
    The heating method of the machine can only be used within 1500m elevation.

  7. To avoid any malfunction and keep your health better, please make sure you are using purified water and don’t fill the water bottles directly from the tap.

WARNING:

  • During transportation, installation, cleaning & use of the appliance, care should be taken to avoid damage to the refrigeration circuit which could result in a refrigerant leak.
  • A qualified technician carrying out the installation is obliged to observe applicable national standards and regulations concerning connection to the water distribution system and the electric network. The manufacturer is not responsible for any unprofessional or incorrect installation.
  • Servicing of this appliance should only be carried out by trained and qualified personnel.

Precautions

For children

  1. Destroy the carton, plastic bag, and other packing materials after the dispenser is unpacked. Children might use them for play.
  2. Children require supervision when using the dispenser.
  3. Recommend installing the anti-tilt bracket at the back side of this water dispenser to prevent the dispenser from falling which could cause injury. (Fig. 6)

For the user/installer

  1. Plug the water dispenser directly into the socket. The unit requires proper grounding and the correct voltage (as technical information specified on page 13 of this manual). (Fig. 1)
  2. An appropriate length of power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  3. Connect the plug firmly.
  4. Do not use an extension cord or plug adaptor. (Fig.2)
  5. Choose a place that is near a grounded electrical socket. Keep the dispenser at least 20cm away from walls and other appliances and furniture on all 4 sides.
  6. Do not place the water dispenser sitting over the power cord.
  7. Do not pull out or insert the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shock. (Fig. 3)
  8. Use the switch when turning the heating/cooling On/Off. Located at the left side back of the water dispenser.
  9. Do not fasten, twist, or tie the power cord. If the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, service technician, or a qualified person to prevent any risk.
  10. Keep the unit in a dry place and away from direct sunlight. Do not place the machine on paper or foam. Do not place anything flammable beside this machine. (Fig. 4)
  11. To avoid damage to the unit, do not plug the power cord or turn on the heating switch until the water can flow out from the hot water spout when the hot water button is activated.
  12. Unplug the unit when the unit will not be used for a long period to save electricity.
  13. Never tug the unit upside down or tilt it more than 45°. (Fig. 5)
  14. Never use organic liquids polishing chemicals to clean the machine.
  15. The thermostat to control temperature has been set up by the manufacturer. There is no need to adjust it yourself.

Machine Installation

To avoid a hazard due to the instability of the appliance, it must be fixed by the instructions:

Installing the floor Bracket kit(Fig.6)

  1. Use a 13 mm screw to fix the fixing bracket on the middle of the base pan.
  2. Drill out a screw hole(6 mm) on the floor.
  3. Insert a screw anchor (wall plug) into the drilled hole.
  4. Move the water dispenser, Align the fixing bracket hole with the screw hole of the floor.
  5. Put the 25mm screw into the screw hole of the fixing bracket.
  6. Tighten the screw.

Using your water dispenser

  1. Tear the label from the bottle mouth.

  2. Make sure not to plug into a socket, then insert a 3 or 5-gallon water bottle over the unit, and gently let the neck of the bottle slide into the funnel, making sure the spillproof cap slides down into the prong

  3. Push the hot water button until water is poured out, then insert the plug into a socket the power indicator will be on, then turn on the heating/cooling switch, and the heating/cooling indicator will be on.
    NOTICE:
    To avoid damage to the unit, do not plug the power cord or turn on the heating switch until the water can flow out from the hot water spout when the hot water button is activated.

  4. Indicators light up accordingly once the heating and cooling switch is turned on and working properly.

  5. After water is used up turn off the heating/cooling switch and unplug the power cord from the socket. Then take out the used bottle, and follow steps 1 to 3 to connect the new water bottle.

  6. Never turn on the heating/cooling switch before plugging the power cord into the socket.

Operation Instructions

Light Indicators
The indicator lights show that the device is working correctly. After connecting the device, check if the indicators are on. (Fig.8)

  • Indicates that the dispenser is powered on.
  • Indicates that the water is being heated.
  • Indicates that the water is being chilled.

Water tap
Use the appropriate tap for the water temperature desired.

  1. Hot water
    Slide the child safety switch to the left, hold it, and push the hot water button vertically, then the hot water can be out. (Fig.9/Fig.10)

  2. Room temperature water
    Push the middle button in the vertical direction to get room-temperature water. (Fig.11)

  3. Cold water
    Push the right button in the vertical direction to get cold water (Fig.12)

Freestanding water dispenser with Cooling cabinet

  • This machine should not be turned on until 3 minutes later after turning off the cooling switch.
  • When first time to use the refrigerating function, let the refrigerating function operate for at least 2 hours before putting anything into the cooling cabinet.
  • No wet or hot goods are allowed to be put into the cooling cabinet. Leave suitable space between the goods to ensure the interior airflow.

Cleaning And Maintenance

Note: Unplug the unit before cleaning.

  1. The unit has been factory disinfected. However, it is advisable to clean the dispenser before initial use.
  2. Follow steps 1-4 of “using your water dispenser”.
  3. When cleaning and draining the unit:
    • Make sure that the heating/cooling switch is in the “0”(Off) position.
    • Unplug the water dispenser from the socket.
    • Dispense water from each spout till no water flows out from the spout.
    • Place a large bucket beneath the drain hole. Remove the drain caps and allow water to drain. Once finished draining, close the drain caps. (Fig. 16)
    • Follow the “using your water dispenser”.

CAUTION

Scald Hazard

Be careful when the hot water comes out
when tapping the hot water and drain water from the drain hole.

Water Leakage

  • A drain cap may cause water leakage and floor damage.

WARNING

Electrical Shock Hazard
Unplug the water dispenser before cleaning and wiping up spilled water on the unit.

Scald Hazard
Dispenser heats water to a temperature of 194°F (90°C). Water temperatures above 125°F (52°C) can cause severe burns or scalding. Children, the disabled, and the elderly are at the highest risk of being scalded. Children should be supervised by an adult when using this product.

  1. To sanitize the unit:
    • The machine should be sanitized using a store-bought disinfectant. Follow instructions for disinfectant use.
    • After using disinfectant, clean the unit with water {see cleaning and maintenance). It is recommended that this should be done every three months.
  2. To remove mineral deposits (Descale):
    • Mix 1 gallon of water with 0.25kg citric acid to be descaled solution in the bottle, then follow steps 1-3 of “using your water dispenser”, Make sure the water can flow out from the hot water spout when the hot water button is activated.
    • Turn on the heating switch to heat the water.
    • 30 minutes later, drain off the liquid and clean it with water two or three times. It is recommended that this should be done every six months.
    • Never disassemble this machine by yourself to avoid the risk of damage.

Troubleshooting

Before calling your service representative, check the following items:

  • The water dispenser does not work
    • Make sure the water dispenser is properly connected to a working socket and the heating/cooling switches are set ON.
  • Water is leaking
    • Unplug the water dispenser, remove the bottle, and replace it with a new one.
    • Make sure the drain cap at the back side of the water dispenser is tightened enough.
  • No water is coming from the spout
    • Make sure the bottle is not empty, if empty, replace it with a new one.
    • Make sure to completely depress the pushbutton controls.
    • Make sure the connection tube inside the unit is not loose.
  • Cold water is not cold
    • Make sure the water dispenser is properly connected to a working socket
    • Make sure the green cooling switch is set ON.
    • Wait until the COOLING indicator turns off, it takes up to approximately 1 hour to cool the water in general.
    • Make sure the back of the water dispenser is at least 20 cm away from a wall and there is free airflow on all sides of the water dispenser.
  • Hot water is not hot
    • Make sure the water dispenser is properly connected to a working socket.
    • Make sure the red heating switch is set ON.
    • Wait until the HEATING indicator turns off, it takes 15~20 minutes to heat the water in general.
  • Dispenser is noisy
    • Make sure the water dispenser is placed on a placid and solid surface.
    • The compressor on and off operation will happen to control the cold water as specified, it is normal.
  • Water tastes
    • Dust and odor accumulate in the tank, dispose of the reservoir water, and replace the bottle with a new one.
    • Sanitize the water dispenser or descale according to “Cleaning and maintenance”.
