2. GETTING STARTED
2..11 PREPARING TO USE AACCEESIGHT
2.11..11 CHARRGE THE DEVICE
When connected to the power adapter, the Power Indicator is blue. It
will flash slowly when the device is charging and change to a solid light
when charging is complete.
When the Power Indicator flashes green fast and the battery icon on the
Acessiigghht screen turns to II , the battery level is low. Please charge the
device.

SShhoorrt press the Power Buuttton to check the current battery level.
2.1.2 TURN THE DDEEVIICCE ON//OOFFFF
Press the Power Button for 2 seconds to turn the Acesight on. You can turn the device off in the same way. When the device is on, the indicator will turn green.
2.2 PUT ON THE HHEEAADDSSET 2.22..11 AADDJJUSST THE RIM

SSttep 1: Turn the Adjustment Dial at the back of the Acesight headset
counterclockwisse to loosen the headset rim.
SSttep 2: Put on the headset, making sure that your eyes are directly
behind the lenses. The device should be centered. Turn the Dial
clockwise after the headset is in the good place for a snug fit.

2.2.2 AADDJJUUSST THE IINTERPUPILLARY DDIISSTTAANNCCEE
Interpupillary Distance Adjustment function will be automatically on
when the Acesight is turned on the first time. A yellow on black pattern will be shown as below. By pressing the Arrow Buttons “”C”” and “”1″”, you
can switch the high contrast color between default sseettting and white on
black.

Close a single eye to look at tthhe immaage. Turn tthhe Interpupillary Distance
Knob on the same side with tthhe open eye to ensure a clear display iif the
image is vague. Do the same with tthhe other eye. Press the Color Mode
Buttton “”IiI”” on tthhe controller to enter tthhe main view.

Note: For a more comfortable fit, insert the ends of the overhead strap
thrroouugh the loops on the Acessiigghht headset. Fasstten the Velcro tabs to ensure
a suitable possiition.

3. BASIC FUNCCTIONS
3..11 TURN ON//OOFFFF
Press PPoower BBuuttton “”Ea”” for 2 seconds to turn onn//off the
Acessiigghht.
3.2 ZOOOM IN//OOUUT Press Zoom In BBuuttton “”+”” and Zoom Out BBuuttton “”–“” to zoom the view in and out. To turn the image to the lowest magnificaattion quickly, preesss Zoom Out Buttton “”–“” for 2 seconds. To turn the image to the highest magnificaattion quickly, press Zoom In BBuuttton “”+”” for 2 seconds.
The magnificaattion range of Acesight is 1.1x to 15x.

3.3 FOocCuUsS LOCCK
In general, the camera of Acesight is auto-ffooccus. However, if a specific
foccus is needed, you can activate the Focus Lock to turn auto-ffooccus off by pressing the Arrow Buttons “”C”” and “”1″” simultaneously to fix the
current fooccus. Go back to auto-ffooccus in the same way.
The following display will show on the screen when Focus Lock is on/off.

3.4.2 FAVORITE COLOR MMOODDEE Press CCoolor Mode Buuttton “”GI”” for 2 seconds to activate Faavvoorrite CCoolor
Mode. The image will turn to the following pattern before entering the
FFaavvoorrite CCoolor Mode:
In FFaavvoorrite CCoolor Mode, only three color modes are available: full
color, the last high contrast color selected before you entered the
FFaavvoorrite CCoolor Mode, and its reverse mode.

EEnnttering Faavvoorrite Color Mode in full color will make the high contrast
color black on white or white on black.
Press the CCoolor Mode Buuttton “”GI”” for 2 seconds in FFaavvoorrite CCoolor Mode
to switch back to Regguular CCoolor Mode. The following pattern will show
before entering Regguular CCoolor Mode.

3.6 AADDJJUST TTHHIICCKKNNEESSS OF OOUUTTLLINEES//CCOONNTTRRAASST OF HIIGGH CONNTTRRAST COLLOORRS
The thhiicckknneesss of the outline in Outline Funccttion and the range of the
contrast in high contrast color are adjustable in 5 levels by pressing Arrow Buttons “”C”” and “”1″” to adapt to various eye conditions and
environments.
3.7 NNAARRROW DDIISSPLAY 3.77..11 ENTER NNAARRROW DDIISSPPLAY Before entering
the Narrow Display, the Narrow Mode must be on. Please refer to Narrow Mode
seccttion on page 311for more information.

When the Narrow Mode is on, shoorrt preesss Zoom Out Button””–“” in the
lowest magnificaattion in real-time view to enter Narrow Displays: 1/4
(25%) or 1/16 (6.25%) of the original size.
3.7.2 CHANGE THE DDIISSPPLAY POSITION By default, the view is in the middle of
the display. If that ddooeessnn”tt match
your vision, preesss Outline Funccttion BBuuttton “”IN”” for 3 seconds to move
the
view possiition. Use Zoom In Buuttton “”+””, Zoom Out BBuuttton “”–“”, and
Arrow Buttons “”C”” aanndd “”,”” to move the image up/down and left//rriigght.
Press CCoolor Mode BBuuttton “”IA”” to save the new display, or Outline

Funccttion Buuttton “”IN”” to discard. It will save and exit automatically if there
is no adjussttment in 1O0 seconds.

3.7.3 VVIIEEWING IN NNAARRROW DDIISSPPLAY In the Narrow Display, press color
Mode Buuttton “”IA”” and Zoom In Buuttton “”+””//ZZoooom Out Buuttton “”–“”
simultaneously to zoom the image in/out. The magnificaattion is 1.1x to 15x of
the current display size instead of the

original size. Please note that 2-second press on Zoom In Buttton “” +””/Z/Zoooomm Out Buuttton “” — “” to quickly go the lowest//hhiigghest
magnificaattion is unavailable in narrow display.
You can also show the image in various high contrast colors, and use the outline functions in the same way as not in the Narrow Display.
3.8 SWIFT RESTORRATION In real-time view, short press the FFuullll
CCoolloorr//MMeennuu BBuuttttoonn””©””, and the display will soon be restored
to full color display despite all the image
changes.

In Floaatting Reading Mode, the real-time view will be displayed as a large

4.2 LOCCKK//UUNNLLOOCCK THE CONNTTRROOLLLLEER In real-time view, by pressing Zoom In Button “”+”” and Zoom Out Button “”–“” simultaneously, the butttoonnss on the controller will be locked until the next time Zoom In Buuttton “”+”” and Zoom Out Button “”–“” are pressed
simultaneously again.
When the controller is locked/unlocked, a big lock/unlocck icon will
appear in the middle of the screen. When the controller is locked, there
will be a small lock icon in the upper left corner of the screen.

4.3 FIND FUNCTION
In real-time view, press Floating Reading Mode Button “” 0 “” for 2
seconds. The Find Funccttion will be activated and thhe red Find frraame
appears. Keep pressing and holding tthhe Floating Reading Mode Button “”[3 “”, and the image will be displayed at 1/5 (20%) of the current
magnificaattion.

Turn your head and put the Find frame on the target, then release the
button. The view will zoom in to ittss size in previous magnification as the
Find frame disappears.
5. MMEENU
Press Full CCoolloorr//Menu BBuuttton “”l l”” for 3 seconds to enter Menu.
There are 5 optiioons in the Menu: CCaalliibbrraattion, Narrow Mode, Version,
Visual SSttyle, and Refresh Raatte. You can switch among them with Arrow
Buttons “”C”” aanndd “”I””..

An activated Narrow Mode is a prerequissiite to enter Naarrrow Displays
(1/4 and 1//16). Please refer to Narrow Display seccttion on Page 19 for
detailed information.
To turn Narrow Mode on/off, enter Narrow Mode and use Arrow Buttons “”C”” aanndd “”1″” to switch and choose with CCoolor Mode BBuuttton “”A””.
5.3 VVIISSUAL STYLES There are two visual styles installed: yellow on black
and white on blue. SShhoorrt press Arrow Buttons “”C”” and “”Jr” to switch,
and sshhoorrt press CCoollor Mode BBuuttttoonn””iiI”” to select, or Outline

Acessiigghht:
a) To avoid malfunctions and other damage, avoid using Acesight in the
following locations. · Places exposed to high temperature andd//or high
humidity, such as outside in the rain or near heating equipment · Locaattions
subject to electromagnetic intteerrffeerreennce, such as next to medical
devices that are unshielded.

b) Do not attempt to repair Acessiigghht or open ittss case to avoid voiding the
warranty. CCoonntact cussttomer service if necessary.
c) If Acessiigghht becomes soiled, wipe it off using a sooft, dry cloth. Use of organic
solvents (such as thinner or benzene) causes deterioration and disccoolloration
of the outer casing.
