Main Screen-

Mopeka TD 40i Ultrasonic Distance Volume Temperature Sensor - Main
Screen

  • Appears as shown when no devices are connected.
  • Click to create an account
    • Creating an account allows sensor data to be uploaded to the Mopeka cloud
    • An account is required when using Mopeka Bridge
  • Click for Global Settings
  • Appears as shown when devices are synced.
  • Syncing more sensors will keep adding to the sensor list.
  • There is no limit on the number of sensors that can be added.

However, some devices may become slower when a high number of sensors (>20) are connected.

Global Settings-

  • Notifications-Allows notification to pop up when tank level goes below alarm setting. Alarms are set individually for each sensor.
  • Upload sensor data-Allows tank data to be uploaded to Mopeka cloud, such that the data may be retrieved from the cloud when sensor is not within range of phone.
  • Device Search Filter: Enables filtering of sensors by the methods shown under Sort Preferences. See next page for further details.
  • Forget all Devices will remove all devices from the app.

Device Search Filter-

  • First picture shows Main Screen with device filtering enabled.
  • Second picture shows an example. After starting to type “Gr” in the filter field, now only the device called “Grill” is showing.

Individual Device Screen-

  • Selecting a sensor from the list will open the page for that single device
  • Battery indicator shows remaining battery voltage of the sensor.
  • Wireless Signal indicator shows relative Bluetooth wireless strength of sensor to phone/tablet.
  • The Quality indicator (3 star scale) is used to understand if the sensor’s ultrasonic measurement system is working correctly. Typically, if quality is low, (1 star or less) the sensor is mounted poorly: poorly positioned on the center bottom of tank, has debris on the tank in front of the rubber pad interfering with performance, or is lacking adequate sonic grease. Therefore, it is important to check Quality, especially during the first installation and setup. Typically, once installed correctly, with Quality at least 2 stars, it will not need change unless tank is disturbed such that it is no longer standing upright & level.

Additional Info Flyout-

Info Flyout

  • Update Rate is the interval between each
  • wireless broadcast of the sensor’s tank data by
  • Bluetooth.
Update Rate impacts battery life of the sensor.
    Update rate is configurable.
    • For Standard sensors, press and hold the sync button on the sensor to toggle between 2 Update Rate options. The Update Rate displayed in the app will change when toggled.
    • For Pro sensors, click on the settings icon to set the update rate.

Sensor Position Flyout-

  • Pro Sensors have an internal accelerometer that can be used during installation to understand when the sensor is correctly level to the horizon.
  • It functions much like a bubble level app.
  • Use as needed during setup.
  • Especially helpful on blind installations and horizontal tanks where seeing the actual sensor is difficult.

Sensor Firmware Flyout-

  • Pro Sensors also have an update feature that allows Mopeka to push sensor software updates to the sensor.
  • With this feature the sensor will be kept up to date with all ongoing continuous improvements.
  • Follow on screen instructions to install updates.

Sensor Settings-

  • Click in upper right corner on Settings icon for settings applied to that sensor only.
  • Sensor may be renamed as needed.
  • Choose your region and tank size.
  • Alarm threshold is configurable so that you may determine when to be notified of low level.
  • See previous discussion regarding Update Rate.
