Product Usage Instructions

Installation Guide:
The small iron piece on the back of the hook needs to be bent before installation. It should be used to form a pivot point with the sink bowel for proper installation.

Rust Spots Removal:
This sink is made of T-304 stainless steel. If you see rust spots in your sink, it is likely due to external rust or iron particle contaminants. To remove these rust stains:

  1. Clean the rust stains with Barkeepers Friend powder cleanser or Hope’s Sink cleaner and a dish scrubbing sponge.
  2. Scrub in the direction of the grain to avoid damaging the sink surface.
  3. Use a toothbrush for corners and edges where rust stains may be more stubborn.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning to ensure all residue is removed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

TOOLS: Safety glasses/maker/silicone adhesive sealant/tape measure/ Jigsaw/rags/wood braces/level/ screws/bladed screwdriver

STEP1: Position Template
Check the cut-out template against the actual sink to ensure a proper sized cut-out, then place the cut-out template in the desired location on the countertop

STEP2: Trace Template
Trace template on countertop with a pencil. (Figure 1)

STEP3: Cut Countertop
Cut the opening in the countertop by carefully following the traced line (Note: Please use the appropriate saw that fits your coutertop material) (Figure 2)

STEP4: Attach the mounting hardware to the prongs protruding from the underside of the sink rim. Make sure the hooked side of the mounting clip is facing away from the sink. (Figure 3)

STEP5: Apply Silicone or Plumber’s Putty
Clean and dry the surface around the opening of the sink; Turn the unit upside down to apply sealant (not included) underneath of the sink rim.

STEP6: Secure Sink to Countertop
Insert the sink into the opening, check the alignment of the sink to the cutout in the countertop, and press firmly. (Figure 4) .
Tighten the screws in the front of the sink, followed by the ones in the back and on the sides of the sink (Figure 5).
Remove excess silicone-based sealant.
Allow sealant to set for 30~60 minutes.

STEP7: Install Plumbing Fixtures
Connect drain to sink. Connect trap to drain. Connect water supply connections to faucet according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Run water into sink and check for leaks(Figure6)

Why does the kitchen sink rust?

Reasons:

  1. The rust may be caused by the welding cement, or oil residue on the sink which when not cleaned on time can lead the sink to rust.
  2. Chemical cleaning agent, paint, sauces or cooking oil left in the kitchen sink after a certain period of time these will create molds and the molds would stick on the surface.

Prevention and Treatments:

  1. Install the sink after everything else is done, and clean your sink right after installation.
  2. Clean your sink after every use.
  3. Properly remove the rust and molds using a scouring pad

What will scratch or harm the sink?

Reasons:

Improper packaging can lead to scratch marks. The accessories may scratch the sinks during transit. ECOCHANNELS will try our best to pack the sinks well which would avoid the scratches. But the sink is easily scratched by sharp objects.

Prevention and Treatments:

  1. Minor scratch: You can use a sponge with toothpaste to polish it again and again.
  2. Moderate scratch: Using a scouring pad to polish small areas.
  3. Serious scratch: Purchase stainless steel polisher.

What cause the hard water stains?

Reasons:
This is normal if you use the sink after a certain period of time.

Prevention and Treatments:

  1. Scouring powder can easily solve the problem.
  2. Clean Daily. Use a soft towel to wipe the sink with warm water. Mixing in some washer-fluid is advisable Remember wipe it dry at last.

Should you experience any defects in material or workmanship within the warranty period, ECOCHANNELS will repair or replace the defective product, subject to the following conditions:

  • Any claim made under this warranty must include a copy of a valid proof of purchase showing the date and place of purchase.

  • Our obligation under this warranty is to the original purchaser only, and may not be transferred.

  • Product replacement does not include shipping costs or labor installation costs.

  • This warranty applies to residential installation only.

  • ECOCHANNELS reserves the right to examine product in question and its installation prior to replacement.
    Alf an identical replacement product is not available, ECOCHANNELS reserves the right to replace the defective product with a similar product.
    Note: Accessories such as rinse grid, cutting board, strainers, roll-up rack, colander are not covered by this warranty.
    This warranty relates to defects in manufacture, material or workmanship in a ECOCHANNELS sink or faucet supplied for installation into domestic premises in the United States, It does not extend to:

  • Damage resulting from failure to maintain the product in accordance with the Care and Maintenance instructions provided with the product.

  • Normal wear and tear, scratches or accidental damage

  • Faults arising from improper use and/or installation.

  • Defects in accessories, strainers and rinse grids.

RUST SPOTS

CAUTION
Due to the weight and sharp edges of the sink, exercise caution when handling, moving or lifting the box or the sink. Use safety gloves and protective gear for eyes and ears. Get assistance when lifting or mounting the sink at any time during the installation procedure.
DO NOT attempt to handle or install this product if doing so post a risk of bodily injury or you are medically unfit to carry out the installation.

IMPORTANT: ECOCHANNELS strongly recommends that this product be installed by a licensed plumber. Ensure that installation complies with applicable plumbing and building codes.

Restrictions:
This warranty does not cover antediluvian, discontinued, or display products, whether such items are purchased at discount outlets, unauthorized dealers, and/or sold on clearance. This warranty does not cover instances of negligence, misuse, carelessness, accident, hard abuse, improper installation, water or mineral deposits, corrosive materials, misapplication,exposure to damages caused by improper maintenance, alteration of the product, or failure to follow care or installation instructions enclosed with your product. Avoid using abrasive cleaners such as powders, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, or chlorine. Avoid using abrasive pads, steel wool,or wire brushes, as these will damage and wear down the finish. This warranty does not cover Marine or Outdoor Installation. This warranty does not cover any free gifts included with purchase. Except as otherwise provided above all incidental or consequential damages are specifically excluded. No additional warranties,expressed or implied are given, inleuding but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
