FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CB500X ABS SWITCH 2013 -2023
PLEASE NOTE THESE INSTRUCTIONS WERE CREATED BY INSTALLATION ON TO A 2023 MODEL, HOWEVER THEY WILL DIFFER SLIGHTLY AS THE CB500X FAIRINGS CHANGED, SO THIS IS A GENERAL GUIDE.
Tools required.
5mm Hex Bit
Remove seat
Remove bolt from panel above the Rear Brake Reservoir, then remove full side panel
Using a 5mm hex bit undo the top bolt
Remove bolts from RH of radiator guard and front fairing
Remove pop rivet situated under corner of where the “beak “meets the fairing.
Lift fairing plastics over radiator filler cap.
Starting at the bottom, hold the fairing with both hands and ease first out then down to release the spring clip and hook situated inside the fairing panel, this will now leave the fairing free to remove
Un plug the indicator
Undo the Relay Housing Bolt
Reveal the ABS Switch plug and separate
Insert the new Rally Raid ABS plugs in between the existing plugs.
Replace front of mirror bracket with Rally Raid Switch mount bracket.
Replace indicator, front fairing, side panel and seat.
