Assembly

  1. Make sure your firearm is unloaded.

  2. Insert three batteries (J) into the battery compartment (C) with the negative (−) side first and
then insert the compartment into the bore sighter collimator (A).

  3. Select the proper adapter (D–G or L) for your firearm’s caliber.

  4. Screw it into the small end of the boresight collimator, using the screw in its center. As you
tighten the screw, the adapter diameter will expand. Once it has reached the same diameter
as your firearm, push the adaptor and small end of the boresight collimator into the muzzle of
your firearm. Make sure that it fits tightly with the crown of your firearm.

Boresighting

This boresighter employs a Class 3R laser. Do not use reflective surfaces during adjustment or stare at the laser dot for extended periods.

  • If you can boresight your firearm at 50 to 100 yards, compensation for offsetting the scope and barrel is not necessary. Adjust your scope’s windage and elevation, so your crosshairs aim at the laser dot. Reverse the assembly process to take out the boresight collimator after the sighting.
  • If you are boresighting at a shorter distance, adjust the point of impact so the crosshairs compensate for the height of the scope center over the barrel. Place the laser dot on the center of the target below and adjust the crosshairs to match that distance above the center of the target. For example, if the scope center is 1.5 inches above the bore, ensure the crosshairs point 1.5 inches above the laser dot. Reverse the assembly process to take out the boresight collimator after the sighting.

Maintenance

  • Clean the surfaces of the boresight collimator with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or caustic chemicals and do not allow any electronic component to become wet.
  • Check all parts for any wear or damage between uses. Repair or replace any problematic parts before further use.
  • If the boresight collimator will not be used for a prolonged period of time, clean it, place it in its box, and store it in a cool dry place inaccessible to children.

Troubleshooting

  • If the laser does not come on, check the battery, tighten the adjustment screw, or reinstall the adapter and rotate the battery compartment.
