FORWODE DB-HMS22 2 Bike Rack Hitch Mount

Product Specifications:

  • Model: DB-HMS22
  • Tools Required: 2–5/8 wrench, 2–11/16 wrench, or 2 adjustable wrenches

Product Usage Instructions

Part Assembly:

  1. Insert cylinders of K into the small holes in order with D-F-F-G fasteners.
  2. Ensure firm joining of both parts upon completion.

Bike Rack Fastening Device:

  • a. Fine-tuning preload knob
  • b. Handle head
  • c. Handle grip
  • d. Positioning pins

Folding Up Carry Arms:
Remove the L clip from the carry arm assembly, swing the carry arms into an upright position, and ensure proper closure of the wire retainer on the L clip to keep the carry arms in an upright position during use.

Loading Bicycles on Rack:

  1. Remove all loose items from bicycles and ensure that all quick-release hubs are tight.
  2. Load bicycles facing away from the rack, ensuring they do not come in contact with the vehicle.
  3. Load subsequent bicycles in alternating directions for weight distribution.
  4. Add padding between bicycle contact points if necessary.

Secure Installation Bike Rack:

  1. Insert the assembled bike frame into the square opening of the trailer and connect it using R.
  2. Fasten with N-M-O, with Q at the bottom and P at the top.

FAQ:

  • Q: What tools are required for assembling the rack?
    A: You will need a 2–5/8 wrench, a 2–11/16 wrench, or 2 adjustable wrenches for assembling the rack.

  • Q: How should I load bicycles on the rack for best weight distribution?
    A: Load the heaviest bicycles first, with lighter bicycles on the outside, and alternate their directions. Ensure padding between contact points if needed.

WARNING : Bikes or racks falling in the road can cause serious accidents resulting in bodily injury Do not use the rack on any vehicle on which it can not be properly mounted as described in this instruction sheet.

  • • Rack should only be used on vehicles with 2″ receiver hitches.
  • NEVER use on trailers or front of vehicles.
  • Bikes must be tied to the rack using tie-downs, or additional straps if necessary.
  • Check periodically during use that all bolts and pins are tight, and that rack and bicycles are secure.
  • Never carry more than 2 bikes (max capacity 70 LB) – no tandems, mopeds. or recumbent. Car tail lights must remain visible.
  • Drive conservatively. especially over bumps. Never use off-road.
  • Do not use if any part of the rack is damaged. worn. or missing. ContactFORWODE for replacement parts.
  • The presence of the cushion in the upper assembly of the functional model vertical tube requires it to be squeezed deformation. the holes can be aligned.

CAUTION : Use Forwode only under local motor vehicle and traffic regulations.

  • Install rack and load bicycles only at a safe distance away from moving traffic.
  • Make sure that all of the racks and bicycles are kept at a safe distance from road and hot exhaust.
  • Only operate a vehicle with the rack in an upright, locked position.
  • Bicycles should never extend beyond the sides of the vehicle.
  • Remove the rack from the car, or fold carry arms down when not in use.

ASSEMBLING RACK

  • Put two pieces of K into the interior of C in advance. (The two cylinders of K are inserted into the two small holes).
  • Insert B into the inside of C, then connect them in order with D-F-F-G fasteners.
  • After connecting B and C, align the square tube with the hole in the base and use L to connect it to fix it.

IMPORTANT :
Because of the presence of the cushion pad, it needs to be made to squeeze deformation, and the holes could be aligned.FORWODE-DB-HMS22-2-Bike-Rack-

  • Plug A and B together, and connect the two holes on the side with two sets of standard parts E-F-F-G locking.
  • Connect one hole on the front side with H-I-J locking.
  • TIGHTEN NUT AND BOLT FIRRRRRMLY USING TRWO WRENCHES.
  • CAUTION:
    To protect the product, increase durability, and reduce noise, a buffer pad is added here. When the U-shaped crossbar is folded, it is necessary to squeeze the buffer pad hard, and then pull the pin.

NOTE : UPON COMPLETION, BOTH PARTS SHOULD BE FIRMLY JOINED TOGETHER.
IMPORTANT:

  • WHEN RACK IS IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION. THE WIRE RETAINER ON THE CLIP SHOULD ALWAYS BE IN A CLOSED POSITION
  • TO KEEP RACK FROM FALLING OVER DURING USE.

BIKE RACK FASTENING DEVICE

  • HOLD b WITH YOUR LEFT HAND AND PULL IT OUTWARD SLIGHTLY.
  • SQUEEZE A TIGHTLY WITH THE RIGHT HAND AND TIGHTEN.
  • LOOSEN .b
  • PULL OUT d AND ROTATE c TO 90°.
  • INSERT d AND ROTATE THE HANDLE CLOCKWISE UNTIL TIGHTENED.
  • PULL OUT b c WITH FORCE AND ROTATE BACK TO THE INITIAL STATE TO TIGHTEN AGAIN.
  • DISASSEMBLY STEPS REFER TO TIGHTENING STEPS

FOLDING UP CARRY ARMS:

  • TO FOLD UP THE CARRY ARMS, REMOVE THE L CLIP FROM THE CARRY ARM ASSEMBLY, AND SWING THE CARRY ARMS INTO AN UPRIGHT POSITION.
  • RE-INSTALL THE L CLIP, MAKING SURE TO PROPERLY CLOSE THE WIRE RETAINER ON THE L CLIP.
  • IMPORTANT : WIRE RETAINER MUST BRR FULLY CLOSED TO KEEP THE CARRY ARMS IN AN UPRIGHT POSITION DURING USE. PLEASE SEE THE DRAWING IN STEP 2 ON PAGE 1.

LOADING BICYCLES ON RACK:

  1. REMOVE ALL LOST ITEMS FROM BICYCLES (PUMPS, BAGS, ETC.), AND CHECK THAT ALL QUICK-RELEASE HUBS ARE TIGHT.
  2. LOAD THE FIRST BICYCLE WITH ITS CHAIN AND GEARS FACING AWAY FROM THE RACK, AND MAKE SURE THE BICYCLES DO NOT COME IN CONTACT WITH THE VEHICLE.
  3. LOAD SUBSEQUENT BICYCLERS IN ALTERNATING DIRECTIONS.FOR BEST WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION. LOAD HEAVIEST BICYCLERS FIRST, WITH LIGHTER BICYCLES ON THE OUTSIDE, ADD PADDING BETWEEN BICYCLE CONTACT POINTS, IF NECESSARY.
  4. AFTER BICYCLES ARE LOADED, CHECK THAT THE ENTIRE RACK IS SECURE THAT NO WOBBLE BOLTS ARE TIGHT, AND THAT THE RACK IS STILL FIRMLY IN PLACE. VISION OUT OF REARR WINDOW MAY BE LIMITED SIDE MIRRORS ACCORDINGLY WHEN BACKING UP.

SPECIAL NOTE ON INSTALLING WOMEN’S STYLE FRAMES:
PLACE ONE CARRY ARM UNDER FRONT TOP TUBE. WIT THE OTHER CARRY ARM, ROTATRE TIE-DOWN CRADLE, AND PLACE CARRY IN SPACE REAR DOWN-STAY. FORWARD IS ALSO RECOMMENDED FOR THIS APPLICATION.

SECURE INSTALLATION BIKE RACK:

  1. INSERT THE ASSEMBLED BIKE FRAME INTO THE SQUARE OPENING OF THE TRAILER, AND USE R TO CONNECT THE BIKE FRAME TO THE TRAILER BAR.
  2. Q AT THE BOTTOM AND P AT THE TOP, FASTEN WITH N-M-O.

FORWODE LIFETIME WARRANTY

IF A FORWODE BIKE RACK IS FOUND TO HAVE A DEFECT IN WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIAL OVER THE LIFETIME OF THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE, FORWODE WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE THE RACK FREE OF CHARGER. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE OR WEAR THAT OCCURS AS A RESULT OF DAY-TO-DAY USE OR GENERAL WEAR AND TEAR.
