PROMAGNUS
Promagnus™ is a unique scientifically proven football training device designed to improve a football player’s ball curling technique. The Promagnus™ device provokes and amplifies the senses, triggering muscle memory to induce accelerated learning. Players can improve their free kick techniques resulting in a 46% increase in bending / curling performance only after 80 kicks, as tested and confirmed by scientific studies carried out by Queens University in Belfast, Freiburg University in Germany and the highly prestigious IMG academy, Florida in the United States of America.
How it works
Promagnus™ mimics the inflight curving ball, by spinning the ball up to 800rpm. Players sense the rotation as their foot meets the ball and the body muscles recognize the need to adjust after each kick, creating the needed spin. Over time, by reducing the spin speed on the ball from 800rpm down to 150rpm how to create the curl is learnt.
The Promagnus™ can spin in both directions, allowing training on both feet and inside or outside of the foot. There are 5 speed settings up to 800 RPM. Training starts with the fastest speed which is reduced as the football player adjusts to create the spin on the ball himself, which ensures the curved trajectory of the ball. Free kicks, Penalties, Corners and Passing play will take on a whole new dimension in the player’s game.

Quick Guide
Setup Instructions

To charge the device, select the correct mains adapter head for use in your country and fit it to the charger. Included is UK plug, European Plug and USA.

Plug USB cable into the mains charger and into the Promagnus device, then plug into power socket to charge.

The red “Battery low” light will flash slowly as the Promagnus™ is charging. The red light will eventually stop flashing and the red light will remain constantly on, this indicates the device is fully charged and ready for use. Once fully charged and the charger is disconnected the red light will switch off. The device will operate up to 8 hours from a fully charged status. (Note when product is in use, if this low battery indicator flashes quickly then the device needs recharging which will take around 3 hours to fully charge.)

Now place the Promagnus™ on the ground in the desired position. Dependant on the ground surface type, there is an adjustable grip underneath the unit. Adjust this by screwing the cross in or out to achieve the necessary height this is necessary to balance the device when spinning and ensure the unit stabilises the spin of the ball.
Operating the Promagnus Device Manually
- Press the on/off button to turn the Promagnus device on. One side of the white LEDs lights will light up.
- Press the speed button and by repeating pressing this button the relative required speed can be selected. The speed selected is indicated by the number of white LEDs that light up following the sequence below:-
- 5 LEDs lights on = 800 RPM (Maximum spin speed)
- 4 LEDs lights on = 600 RPM
- 3 LEDs lights on = 450 RPM
- 2 LEDs lights on = 300 RPM
- 1 LED light on = 150 RPM (Lowest spin speed)
- Press the direction button to select the necessary spin direction. NOTE: to select an Anticlockwise spin this is displayed by the white indicator arrow LED lights on the right side of the start spin button. To select a Clockwise spin, press the direction button so the white indicator arrow LEDs light up on the left-hand side of the start spin button.

Once the Spin Direction and Spin Speed have been selected the device is ready to be used as required.

Press the Start spin button,

Then within 5 seconds, Place the ball into the Green Cup.

After a few seconds the cup and ball will begin to spin and accelerate the spin to the desired speed selected, in the direction selected.

During the acceleration, the white LED indicator lights will flash.

Once the selected spin speed is reached the two Up to Speed LED indicators will light up in GREEN on the Promagnus device.

The ball is now ready to be kicked by the player. Once the ball has been kicked, the device will stop spinning automatically.

Note: If the spinning ball has not been kicked within 40 seconds the device will stop spinning but the device will remain on.

Note: If there is not activity on the device for over the device will switch itself off after 10 minutes

Operating the Promagnus Device Remotely via phone App

The Promagnus™ is a Bluetooth connectivity device and can be operated by a mobile phone App.

Download the Promagnus™ App. Available from Apple store or Google Store, App name : Promagnus.

To pair and connect the Promagnus™ to the App : Touch the green ball cup area on the Mobile phone App Image.

After a few seconds the CONNECT blue light indicator will light up on the Promagnus™ device, This confirms the device is connected to the App and will remain lit until the App connection is lost.

The App mimics the actual device so the operation of the App is the same as the manually operated mode. The only thing that is different is the Promagnus™ has to be manually switched on to make the Bluetooth connection therefore the ON/OFF switch on the App is only an OFF button to turn the Promagnus™ device off after use.
Operating the Promagnus remotely using a Remote Start Device

The Promagnus™ comes with a remote start device.

This device is to be used after the direction and spin speed have been selected to start the spin of the ball.

To setup the device, Turn on the Promagnus™ and press then press the button on the remote startdevice for around 6 seconds to turn it on, then press the button on again and a red LED light will light up. The device will then automatically connect to the Promagnus and is confirmed by the CONNECT blue LED will light coming on the Promagnus device.

Once the devices are connected and after the Promagnus™ has been be setup. The ball is placed on the green cup. Now the player can walk away to take his kick. Once in position, the player presses the remote start unit button again to start the spinning of the ball.

Once the selected ball spin has been achieved on thePromagnus™ the Remote Start device will bleep loudly, this sound alert informs the player that the desired speed has been reached and that the device is ready for the Kick of the ball to be taken.

Once the ball has been kicked the Promagnus™ will stop spinning and the blue connect light will go off .

Adjustable height pivot (depending on ground surface texture) to absorb the wobble of the ball allowing it to reach maximum speed without the ball spinning off the ball cradle.
The device can be used on any type of pitch surface.
An in-built feature senses when the ball has been kicked and automatically stops the spin of the ball cradle, which prolongs battery life and reduce wear and tear on components. After device has not been used for more than 10 minutes, the device will automatically switch off.
The device is NOT waterproof, not to be exposed to rain fall.
Fault Alert feature, if the product is dysfunctional and requires technical
repair. All the 10 LED lights around the start spin button will flash
continuously.
