Product Usage Instructions

Charging:
Charge the ring for at least one hour before its first use.

App Download:
Download the Femometer App from the App Store or Google Play store and create an account.

Pairing:
Pair the ring when it’s charging, with the App and following the onscreen instructions.

Wearing the Ring:
Wear the ring on the base of the index finger, middle finger, or ring finger depending on comfort. The sensor (the flat part) should be towards the palmar side of your hand (bottom of your finger).

Usage at Night:
Wear the ring at night for at least four hours of sleep time. You can start on any day of your cycle. Wear the ring every night as loss of data may lead to inaccurate predictions.

Data Upload:
Open the Femometer App every morning to upload your finger temperature and sleep time. Remove the ring and charge it if the mbattery is low.

Note:
Keep the phone’s screen on and do not switch to other applications during the transmission. Make sure to wear the ring during sleep every night.

Indication for Use
The Femometer Ring is intended to measure and display physiological parameters (skin temperature, body movement at sleep) as an aid in ovulation prediction to facilitate conception menstrual cycle tracking. It is not to be used for contraception.

Femometer Ring is not intended to measure fever or diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The information and guidance given by Femometer Ring are for informational purposes only and can not replace the services of health professionals or physicians. You should always consult a physician if you have any questions regarding a medical condition or any changes you intend to make to your sleep or activity based on information or guidance from Femometer Ring.
We are not responsible for any health problems that may result from information or guidance you receive from Femometer Services. If you make any changes to your sleep or activity based on Femometer Services, you agree that you do so fully at your own risk.
Note: do not use the Femometer Ring if you have an electronic implanted device (e.g. a pacemaker)
If you experience redness or skin irritation on your finger due to the ring, remove it immediately. If symptoms persist longer than 2-3 days of not using your ring, please contact a dermatologist.

Use, Care and Maintenance

  • Use a soft cloth or hand wash with mild soap and water to clean the ring.
  • Try to avoid wearing the ring when strength training, working with a shovel or other heavy tools, or carrying heavy objects made of metal, ceramics or stone.
  • In addition, try to avoid wearing the ring next to other rings or objects which are made of metal, ceramics, stones or diamonds.
  • Keep the ring away from children.
  • This product is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you know or suspect that a child has swallowed the ring.
  • Do not leave the ring exposed to heat, such as in a vehicle or in the sun.
  • Do not puncture the ring or its battery.
  • Dispose of the ring (and internal battery) in accordance with Applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Special disposal may be required.
  • The charger is an electronic device and local legislation for electronics recycling should be followed.

PRECAUTIONS

  • If the user’s menstrual cycles are shorter than 24 or longer than 35 days, the prediction results may be incomplete or inaccurate.
  • The product is not designed for use by women with PCOS.
  • The ring can only be used to measure the skin temperature of the finger.
  • It cannot be used to measure the temperature of other body parts or air, water, or other objects.
  • The ring is IPX7 waterproof and you can wear it while washing your hands, but you should remove the ring during showers, baths and swimming.
  • The following circumstances may affect you and your body so could result in inaccurate predictions: Irregular cycles / Irregular sleep / Fever / Working night shifts / Insomnia / Use of temperature-affecting medications / Alcohol / Extensive smoking.
  • Consult your physician if you are not yet pregnant after six months of actively trying to conceive using this product.
  • Consult your physician prior to use if you have tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, or other musculoskeletal disorders.

WARNINGS

  • Do not expose the device to consumer products (e.g., perfume, insect repellant, etc.) containing ethanol that may damage the device.
  • No modification of this equipment is allowed.
  • Do not place on flammable surfaces when charging.
  • Only use the Femometer charger that was delivered with the device to charge the device.

How to Use

  1. Charge the ring for at least one hour before its first use.

  5. Wear the ring at night for at least four hours of sleep time. You can start on any day of your cycle. You should wear the ring every night, loss of data may lead to inaccurate predictions.
  6. Open the Femometer App every morning to upload your finger temperature and sleep time.
  7. Remove the ring and take charge if the battery is low.

Note:

  • Keep the phone’s screen on and do not switch to other Applications during the transmission.
  • Make sure to wear the ring during sleep every night for the best prediction.
  • Your fingers may swell in heat or depending on the time of day.
  • The ring may sometimes be difficult to remove.

Please follow the instructions below if the ring gets stuck on your finger:

  • Use water and soap to wet your finger, and slowly twist the ring to remove it.
  • Hold your hand up above your shoulder, and try to remove the ring after a couple of minutes when the blood pressure is lowered.
  • In case of emergency and/or discomfort, when you can’t remove the ring yourself, seek immediate medical attention.

How to Charge

  1. The LED on the ring flashes every 10 seconds to indicate low battery.
  2. Connect the charging stand to a 5V USB power supply, then put the ring on the charger.
  3. The LED on the charger flashes indicating that it is charging and stays static to indicate that it is fully charged. If the LED does not light up, please check that the power supply is connected and the ring is properly placed on the charger. Lollipop -FM-IRS-101-Femometer-Ring-\(6\)

Note:

  • Only use the charger provided by Femometer.
  • The ring needs to be charged within a month of being received.
  • If you do not use the ring for a long time, please ensure that it is fully charged at least once every month to avoid device failure due to battery exhaustion.
  • Do not charge a wet ring.

What should I do if I experience redness or skin irritation due to wearing the ring?

If you experience redness or skin irritation on your finger due to the ring, remove it immediately. If symptoms persist longer than 2-3 days of not using your ring, please contact a dermatologist.

Can I modify or use a different charger to charge the device?

No modification of this equipment is allowed. Only use the Femometer charger that was delivered with the device to charge it.

Should I wear my Femometer Ring during the daytime?

Daytime is optional, but you should wear it every night for the best prediction.

How long do I need to wear my Femometer Ring for it to start predicting?

Everyone's temperature trends are slightly different, we need to record your baseline for 1-2 full cycles, then we can start predicting the next cycle.

Is the Femometer Ring waterproof?

The ring is IPX7 waterproof and you can wear it while washing your hands, but you should remove the ring during showers, baths and swimming. The charger is not waterproof and it should be used indoors.

The ring is too tight or too loose, what can I do?

Finger sizes will naturally increase and decrease depending on the time of day. If the ring feels uncomfortable, switch between your index, middle, and ring fingers until you find the most comfortable fit. For better accuracy try to wear on one finger for a full cycle if possible.

How accurate is the ring?

Single temperature measurement error ±0.1 ºC (between 30 ºC and 37 ºC ) or ±0.18°F(between 86°F and 98.6°F), resolution 0.01.

Can Femometer Ring detect fever or infection?

The Femometer Ring is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, monitor, or prevent medical conditions or illnesses. Please do not make any changes to your medication, daily routines, nutrition, sleep schedule, or workouts without first consulting your doctor or another medical professional.

How should I store the ring when I'm not wearing it?

If you plan on taking a break from wearing your ring, we recommend fully charging it at least once every month to avoid device failure due to battery exhaustion.

Troubleshooting

Warranty

This Limited Warranty Policy (“Warranty”) is offered by Femometer Inc.
Femometer warrants to the original end user purchaser that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If your local law in effect at the time of purchase requires a warranty period longer than one (1) year, this warranty shall be extended to the extent required by such law. Within the warranty period, Femometer shall repair or replace at no charge to you any components of the Product that fail the limited warranty provided. You shall be responsible for any related transportation charges. Replacement products may be new or refurbished at our discretion. This limited warranty does not Apply to

  1. normal wear and tear, including scratches and dents;
  2. consumable parts included in the Product, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
  3. damage resulting from your failure to use the Product in accordance with the instructions accompanying the Femometer Product or available at the website;
  4. damage resulting from an accident, flood, fire, misuse, or abuse;
  5. damage resulting from service performed, or damage resulting from tampering or alterations to the Product, by anyone not authorized by Femometer; or
  6. use of the Product with any other Application or software than the Mobile App.

Femometer retains the exclusive right to repair or replace the Product, or offer a full refund, at its sole discretion. Such remedy shall be your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of this limited warranty. Warranty repairs and replacements have a new warranty which is the longer of ninety (90) days or the balance of the original one (1) year warranty.
