Components Turn on/off power
- To turn on the power, press and hold the power button on the side of your product for 3 seconds.
- To turn off the power, press and hold the power button on the side of your product for 3 seconds while the power is on.
Charging
- Connect your product to the supplied charging cable to charge it through the USB Type C charging port on the bottom of the product.
- When charging starts, the [Power/Battery LED] blinks in white, and when charging is complete, the LED turns blue.
- Short press the [Power Button] on the side of your product twice while the power is on to turn the charging mode on or off.
- You can check the status by checking the [Power/Battery LED] when turning the charging mode on or off.

When the charging mode is turned on while connected to a mobile device, it
uses the battery power of the mobile device, and when the charging mode is
turned off, it uses the AK PEM21’s battery.
When you turn off the AK PEM21 power and back on while the charging mode is
off, the charging mode is automatically enabled.
Connecting in Bluetooth mode
- When you turn on the product, it automatically enters the pairing standby mode, and the [Status LED] blinks in red and blue.
- Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your mobile device settings.
- Selecting [AK PEM21] from the list of detected devices will complete pairing with your mobile device, and the [Status LED] turns blue.
If it does not enter the pairing standby mode, press the [Bluetooth Pairing
Button] on the side of the product for 3 seconds to enter the pairing standby
mode.
A device only needs to be paired once and will subsequently connect
automatically.
Connecting in USB DAC mode
- When the power is turned on, connect to a mobile device or PC with the supplied cable to connect in USB DAC mode.
- When connected normally in USB DAC mode, the [Status LED] turns white.
Even when used in USB DAC, the Bluetooth connection is maintained and you can
use the AK Control app simultaneously.
When connected to a Windows PC, you need to install a separate USB DAC Driver
for high quality audio playback.

Playing music
- Play the music stored in your mobile device or stream music while connected to your mobile device.
- When music is playing, the [Status LED] indicates information about the song currently playing.

When connected to a music playback device, please check the volume before
wearing earphones or headphones.
Listening at maximum volume can cause serious hearing damage. Adjust the
volume to an appropriate level before listening to music.
Accept/decline a call
If AK PEM21 is connected to your mobile device, you can check and answer calls from your mobile device.
- To answer a call, press the [Media Button] on the side of the product once.
- To decline a call, press and hold the [Media Button] on the side of the product for more than 1 second.
- To end a call, press the [Media Button] once.
When connected to a music playback device, please check the volume before
wearing earphones or headphones.
Listening at maximum volume can cause serious hearing damage. Adjust the
volume to an appropriate level before listening to music.
When connected to an iPhone, the call function is not supported, and some
Android smartphones with a 3.5mm port may not be able to make calls.
