  • The kettle should only ever be filled with water. Milk or instant products will burn and damage the appliance. Never operate the kettle without water or overfill: observe the min and max markings. If the kettle is too full, the water will boil over!

Before using for the first time

  • Remove any stickers or film.
  • Unwind the cord to the required length and plugin. The temperature display and the On/Off and U (keep warm) buttons will light up briefly. A signal sounds.
  • Fill the kettle with water and bring to a boil twice to clean it thoroughly.
  • When the water comes to a boil for the first time, add a tablespoon of white vinegar.

Boiling water

  1. Fill the kettle with fresh water through the spout or the opened lid (press the button to open lid)
  2. You can see the filling level on the water level indicator. Observe the min and max markings!
  3. Close the lid, pressing it down until it clicks into place.
  4. Place the kettle on the base.
  5. Touch the a On/Off button. A signal will sound and the temperature last set lights up.
  6. A temperature between approx. 70°C and approx. 100°C can be selected by touching the temperature setting.
  7. The water is heated.
  8. Boiling stops automatically once the specified temperature has been reached. A signal sounds. The temperature display lights up for approx. 1 minute and then goes out.

Notes:

  • Touch the a On/Off button to re-heat water that has cooled down. The temperature setting will be saved as long as the appliance is connected to a power source.
  • The temperature can be changed at any time during the heating process.
  • When the kettle is placed on the base, the temperature selected lights up briefly.
  • While the kettle is heating up, the temperature selected flashes until it has been reached.
  • During the heating process, the water temperature currently reached is displayed on the temperature setting.
  • If the temperature cannot be set, the water in the kettle is hotter than the desired temperature. The current temperature lights up.
  • You can end heating at any time by touching the On/Off button again.

Important: The water will not be heated if a On/Off is not lit up. The temperature display shows the temperature of the water in the kettle for approx. 1 minute and then goes out.

Attention: If you lift the kettle from the base and replace it before the water has boiled, the kettle will not continue heating.
Notes:

  • Water should only be boiled with the lid closed and the limescale filter inserted.
  • For reasons of physics, condensation may form on the base. This is normal, and the kettle is not leaking.
  • If the temperature is set to 100°C, boiling will only stop once the water has reached boiling point, i.e. it will bubble for a short period of time beforehand.
  • After boiling, let the kettle cool down for 5 minutes before refilling.
  • Do not turn on the appliance if the kettle is empty. Otherwise, the overheating protection will trip and the appliance will switch off automatically.

Keep warm
During boiling and 1 minute afterward the keep warm function can be activated in addition to the selection of any temperature level.
To do so, touch the U (keep warm) button.
U will light up, and the function is activated.
To switch off, touch the U (keep warm) button again. U will go out.

Attention: If you lift the kettle and replace it within one minute, the kettle will continue heating.
Info: The keep-warm function automatically switches off after 30 minutes, and a signal sounds.
