The Portable Chain Vise is a versatile tool designed for holding and bending pipes efficiently. It features various functions including a Tool Holder, Pipe Bender, Jack Screw, Handle Pipe Jaws, Leg Chain, Pipe Chain, and Tool Tray.
Assembly Instructions:
- Attach Tray Support (3) to Tool Tray (12) with a Tray Pin (15).
- Slide Clip (18) into ring groove of the Tray Pin and clamp with pliers.
- Attach Front Legs (22) to the opposite end of the Tool Tray with a Tray Pin (15) and Clip (18).
- Secure legs to the Base with Shoulder Bolt (26), Washer (28), and Nut (25).
- Install the Rear Leg (21) by sliding it through the Tray Support Sleeve and into the Base Assembly.
Product Usage Instructions
Before Use:
- Turn Pipe Stand right-side-up and extend legs fully.
- Slide the Tray Support Sleeve up all the way and tighten Set Screw (27).
Note: When handling larger pipes, the Jack Screw can be used to support a stabilizing pipe from a ceiling I-beam. Use on a level, concrete floor with exposed steel I-beams overhead. Position the pipe stand directly below.

- Damage could occur to your vise and/or workpiece if you overtighten the Handle

Assembly Instructions
- Attach Tray Support (3) to Tool Tray (12) with a Tray Pin (15).
- Slide Clip (18) into ring groove of the Tray Pin, and clamp with pliers as shown
- Attach Front Legs (22) to the opposite end of the Tool Tray with a Tray Pin (15) and Clip (18).
- Turn the Base (13) upside-down and set on a flat, hard surface. Install the Front Leg posts into the two leg openings on the Jaw (2) side of the Base
- Secure legs to the Base with Shoulder Bolt (26), Washer (28), and Nut (25).
- Install the Rear Leg (21) by sliding it through the Tray Support Sleeve and into the Base Assembly (follow step 5 to bolt leg in).

Before Use
- Turn Pipe Stand right-side-up and extend legs fully.
- Slide the Tray Support Sleeve up all the way and tighten Set Screw (27).
- Push down on Tool Tray until it snaps into place.
Jack Screw
Note : When handling larger pipes, the Jack Screw can be used to support a 1″ stabilizing pipe from a ceiling I-beam. Use on a level, concrete floor with exposed steel I-beams overhead.
- Position the pipe stand directly below an exposed steel I-beam with a flat mating surface (I-beam flange).
- Insert a piece of 1″ stabilizing pipe between the I-beam and the Jack Screw on the Pipe Stand
- Tighten the Jack Screw until stabilizing pipe is applying firm pressure on pipe stand against floor.
- Test Pipe Stand stability before use.
Note : Use additional support stands for long lengths of pipe.
Operating Instructions

Place workpiece into Jaws.
-
Wrap Chain over workpiece and connect to Jaw (underneath pipe).
CAUTION! Keep fingers away from Jaws while tightening Chain. -
Turn Handle clockwise to tighten Jaws against workpiece until it is held securely. Do not overtighten.

Turn Handle counterclockwise to open Jaws.
Maintenance
- Inspect Chain and Jaw for wear or damage before each use. Replace as necessary.
- Keep moving parts lubricated. Wipe off excess lubricant on Handle and Jaws.
- Keep Jaws clean. Remove Jaws for cleaning by removing Screws.
- Periodically, check and tighten mounting hardware.
