- Keep children and other bystanders out of the area.
- Do not use when tired or when under the influence of drugs or medication.
- Use as intended only.
- Maintain product labels and nameplates.

Assembly Instructions
** Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of
this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or
use of this product.
Note: The Bearing Separator comes fully assembled.
Jaw Puller
**

Choose appropriate size Yoke and Jaws for object being removed:
• Use same size Clamp Bolt and Yoke.
• Use the same size Jaws on each side.
• Jaws should be just long enough to fit around object being pulled.
Note; Connect Jaws to same holes that best fit the size of the object being pulled. -
Attach one Jaw to Yoke using a Jaw Pin. Attach Jaw pointing in for external pulling or pointing out for internal pulling.

Insert the Clamp Bolt through the Jaw opening and hand tighten Washer and Nut.

Attach the other Jaw, Washer and Nut.

Thread the Pressure Screw through the Yolk and through the groove in the Clamp Bolt.

Thread appropriate Pressure Tip into the end of the Pressure Screw.
Operation

WARNING**
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM EXPLOSION:
Carefully follow service instructions to disable airbag before working near
steering wheel or steering column.
Jaw Puller
-
Position Jaws to object and grip by loosening or tightening Nuts.
-
Using a wrench, rotate Pressure Screw so that the Pressure Tip makes contact with the center of the object being removed.
-
Check alignment of Puller and object being removed.:
• Puller should be level, pulling equally on both sides.
• Jaws should be gripping the object on both sides. -
Continue to rotate the Pressure Screw until the object is pulled out.

If more leverage is needed, place Centering Disc onto center of object and center the Pressure Tip against it.
Bearing Separator
- Loosen the Nuts and center the Bearing Separator around the bearing.
- Grip bearing by tightening both Nuts with wrench (sold separately).
- Thread puller legs (sold separately) into Separator’s holes. Both legs should be the same length.
- Connect yolk (sold separately) to the legs.
- Thread pressure screw (sold separately) into yolk until the tip makes contact with the center of the bearing.
- Using a wrench, continue to tighten the pressure screw until the bearing has been pulled out.
Maintenance
WARNING
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE: Do not use damaged equipment. If
abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further
use.
Cleaning, Maintenance, and Lubrication

BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the tool. Check for:
• loose hardware
• misalignment or binding of moving parts
• cracked or broken parts
• any other condition that may affect its safe operation. -
When storing, coat all parts with a light oil to prevent rust, then store them in the Carry Case.
