First configuration of the device

a. Switching on the weather station for the first time

  • Connect the 5V DC (600mA) power supply to the power connector (B13).
  • When the battery is inserted , the display segments will illuminate, the unit will beep and display the current indoor temperature and humidity readings.
  • The weather station will start synchronization with the external sensor. This process will take a maximum of 3 minutes and will be indicated by a flashing antenna symbol on the display of the external sensor.
  • Then, open the battery cover on the outdoor sensor, set the channel switch to position “1”, “2” or “3” (C6), insert two AA batteries observing the polarity markings [ ” +” and “-” signs] , close the battery compartment (C7).
  • Once connected to the external sensor, the station will enter radio-transmitted time settings download mode.

b. DCF radio signal reception

  • The device will start automatically picking up the DCF signal 3 minutes after start-up. The radio mast icon will flash.
  • Each day at 1:00 / 2:00 / 3:00 a.m., the unit automatically synchronizes the time settings according to the received DCF signal, thus correcting any deviation from the correct time indication. If synchronization attempts fail (the antenna mast symbol disappears from the display), the appliance makes another attempt at full time. The synchronization procedure is then repeated up to 5 times.
  • The unit will start automatically picking up the DCF signal 7 minutes after start-up or after a battery change. The radio mastic on will flash (the screen will dim).
  • Each day at 1:00 / 2:00 / 3:00 a.m., the unit automatically synchronises the time settings according to the received DCF signal, thus correcting any deviation from the correct time indication. If synchronisation attempts fail (the antenna mast symbol disappears from the display), the appliance makes another attempt at full time. The synchronisation procedure is then repeated up to 5 times.
  • To manually start DCF time synchronisation, press and hold the
  • C/F button (B6) for 3 seconds. If the unit does not receive a radio signal within 4 minutes, the search will end (the radio mast icon will disappear), the screen will be illuminated and will restart at full time.
  • To stop searching for the DCF radio signal, press and hold the – /C/F button (B6) for 3 seconds.

Additional information

  • A flashing radio mast symbol indicates that a DCF signal searches started .
  • A permanently displayed radio mast icon indicates that the DCF signal has been received successfully.
  • It is recommended that the product be placed at least 2.5 metres away from any sources of potential interference such as televisions, computer monitors or power supplies.
  • Signal reception is weaker in rooms with concrete walls (e.g. basements) and in offices. In this case, the station should be placed near a window.
  • During reception of the DCF signal, only the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (B4) is active, the other buttons are inactive. If you wish to use other functions, press and hold the -/C/F button (B6) for 3 seconds to interrupt reception of the DCF radio signal.

Weather forecast function

  • The weather station calculates the weather forecast for the next

hours based on the barometric pressure trend.

Of course, this forecast cannot compare with that of professional weather services supported by satellites and high-performance computers, but it only provides an approximation of current developments. When using the weather forecast, it is important to take into account the If there are any discrepancies between the forecasts, the forecast from the local weather station should be used. If there is a discrepancy between the forecasts, the forecast from the local weather station should be used.

Pressure trend
The station allows the pressure trend to be displayed

  • The following indications are
    visible: pressure
    increases pressure does not change
    pressure decreases

Screen backlighting

  • Individual presses of the SET button (B1) change the intensity of the lighting. Four settings are available, ranging from very intensive backlighting, medium, low backlighting to complete backlight off.

Changing temperature units

  • Single presses of the -/C/F (B6) button change the temperature unit. Available units: degrees Celsius, degrees Fahrenheit.

Internal time and temperature projection

  • Please move the projection switch (B12) to the “ON” position to switch on the projection.
  • Moving the projection switch to the “OFF” position will turn off the projection.
  • To adjust the intensity of the projection, please press and hold the button (B7) for 3 seconds. Two settings are available; strong backlight and weak backlight.
