Instructions
-
Shutter Button:
a. Press and hold the shutter button for approximately 2 seconds to power on the camera. You will hear two beeps. When the photo counter displays a number, you are ready to take photos.
b. Tap the shutter button to capture a photo. You will hear the shutter sound indicating that the photo has been taken.
c. To power off the camera, press and hold the shutter button for approximately 2 seconds. You will hear a single beep, and the photo counter will turn off. -
Flash Selector Switch
a. Left is on, center is off, right is automatic. Use the flash in low light settings. -
Automatic Shutdown:
a. The camera will automatically shut down after being idle for 5 minutes to conserve battery. -
Charging The Camera:
a. To charge the camera attach the USB-C cable to the camera and connect to a charging block or a computer’s USB port.
b. The light will turn red when the camera is charging.
c. When charging is complete, the light will turn green. -
Taking a Photo:
a. If the camera is off (photo counter is not displayed), power on the camera as described in step la.
b. Hold the camera still and tap the shutter button. Keep the camera steady until you hear the shutter sound.
c. For best results, stand at least 3 feet away from your subject and capture photos in good lighting conditions with the sun behind you.
d. Use the flash when taking photos in low light or indoors. -
Photo View / Download:
a. Use the data cable to connect the camera to a computer.
b. Power on the camera.
c. Open the file manager/finder on your computer and navigate to the “CAMPSNAP” folder.
d. Copy or view the files as desired.
e. Once the photos have been copied over, you can delete all the files from the camera.
f. After moving the files, you can change the metadata date field (see below). -
Photo Storage Card:
a. Your Camp Snap camera comes with a pre-installed 4GB TF card capable of holding approximately 2000 photos.
b. To remove the TF card, unscrew the Phillips screw at the bottom of your camera and carefully remove the plastic covering. Push the TF card in, and it will pop out.
c. To replace the TF card, carefully insert the card into the slot with the gold contacts facing towards the camera lens. It will click into place. Replace the plastic covering and the Phillips screw. -
Changing the Metadata Date on Your Photos:
a. Since Camp Snap cameras do not have a screen, it is not possible to set the date and time on the camera.
b. You may want to change the metadata date for easier organization when storing your photos on the cul on pedal 7
c. On a PC, select all the photos you wish to update, right-click, and choose “Properties” In the “Details” tab, click on the Date Taken” field and enter the desired date and time information. Click “Apply” or “OK” to save the changes.
d. On a Mac, open the Photos app and select the photos you wish to update. Then, go to the “Image” men\fand just Bate and Time’ From there, you can modify the date and time information for the selected photos.
