Introduction

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE OPERATING THIS HEATER.

IF THE DIRECTIONS IN THIS MANUAL ARE NOT FOLLOWED, AN ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE MAY RESULT CAUSING PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY OR LOSS OF LIFE.

DO NOT STORE OR USE GASOLINE OR OTHER FLAMMABLE VAPORS AND LIQUIDS IN THE VICINITY OF THIS OR ANY OTHER HEATING APPLIANCE.

ANY REQUIRED SERVICE OTHER THAN FILTER MAINTE­NANCE SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.

Safety & Awarenes 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions before installing or using this heater.

  2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.

  3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

  4. Always unplug the heater when not in use.

  5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater ma lfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facil ity for examination and/or repair.

  6. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

  7. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

  8. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.

  9. Connect to properly grounded outlets only.

  10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.

  11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

  12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.

  13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

  14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never  se with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power stnp).

  15. DO NOT use the heater in areas where petrol. Paint or other flammable substances are stored.

  16. Always unplug the heater when not in use. To disconnect from the power supply, grip the plug and plug from the power socket. Never pull by the cable.

  17. DO NOT use this heater in conjunction with a timer device or any other device which facilitates an unattended switch-on.

  18. DO NOT pull the power cable or the device itself to unplug it from the socket: pull the plug directly.

  19. The power cable must be fully unwound before use.

  20. If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the ?anufacture, its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

  21. This product is not designed for use by persons (including children) who have reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities or persons with no experience or knowledge. Unless they are instructed and supervised in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their

  22. Children should be supervised to ensure that they DO NOT play with appliance.

  23. DO NOT run cord under carpeting – DO NOT cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or the like arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over

  30. Make sure the heater is supplied by the branch-circuit fitted with one 20 amperes over current protection.

  31. Do not place the heater near a bed because objects such as pillows or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater.

  32. Check your heater cord and plug connections. A loose fitting outlet can cause the plug to overheat or cause a fire. Be sure plug fits tight in the outlet. Check frequently during use to make sure plug and outlet are not hot. If so, discontinue using heater and have outlet replaced by a qualified electrician.
    Note: Heaters draw more current than small appliances, overheating of the outlet may occur even if it has not occurred with the other appliances.

  33. Risk of Fire – Do Not Operate Without Legs (Base) Attached.

  34. The Heater should not be operated unless the extending guard (Protection grid, see item 3 in part list) is in place. Risk of Fire -Do not use if the extending guard has been deformed.

Installation

PRECAUTION:

  • Installation should always be carried out by a qualified electrician or a qualified service personnel.
  • The heaters should always be installed horizontally and should always only use the mounting brackets provided.
  • The heaters are fitted with safety guards. These are intended only to stop large objects from hitting the emitters. On no account should the heater be operated with the guard removed.
  • The cable must be tied to the tripod by tape.

Step 3: Fixed the power supply cord around the supporting rod and legs by the cable tie provided against accidental! in contact with HOT part.

Grounding Instruction

This heater is for use on 120 volts. The cord has a plug as shown at A in Figure 68.1. The cord has a plug as shown at A in Figure 60.1. An adapter as shown at C is available for connecting three-blade grounding­type plugs to two-slot receptacles. The green grounding lug extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box. The adapter should not be used if a three­slot grounded receptacle is available.

Operating Instructions

WARNING:

  • Do not use the heater directly near a bathtub, a shower or a swimming pool.
  • Never plug the appliance into the socket with wet hands
  1. Turn on / off with heater switch or remote-control single touch on/off by firmly plugging in the power cord.
  2. Delay off time setting, under “standby” status, press the timer bottom to enable edit mode. Press the timer to add or take away time cycles 1 to 9. Wait 5 seconds for timer setting to activate. Touch on/off to cancel delay off setting.

Maintenance Instructions

WARNING:

  • Before cleaning, unplug from the power supply and wait a few minutes to cool down.
  • This heater contains no moving parts, it needs very little maintenance. However, when the heater builds up heavy dirt, use a soft cloth to wipe it off.
  • All other servicing should be performed by qualified service personnel.

CORD STORAGE, TOTAL HEATER STORAGE

When you intend not to use this heater for a long time, you can totally store it indoor location, which out of reach by children or disassemble it to put into the package box.

  1. Unplug from the socket outlet, allow to cool down.
  2. Carefully disassemble extending guard and the legs by removing the screws as shown in the Installation figures.
  3. Carefully fold the power supply cord and fix it with a cable tie.
  4. Put the heater and all assemblies, including screws and nuts in the package box, and then store it in dry location, which away from sunshine and out of reach by children.
  5. Next time when use, totally assemble as the Installation instructions before use.
