Product Description

General Information
In order to achieve stable power supply even under heavy loads, lithium batteries are definitely the best substitute for lead-acid batteries.
In addition to the extremely high weight advantage, it also has a huge energy reserve, which allows automatic balancing between parallel
connections and provides greater flexibility for battery connection. The built-in intelligent battery management system (BMS) of Creabest’s
LIFEPO4 battery not only protects the battery from various abnormal conditions, but also monitors the charging/discharging process. LIFEPO4 batteries ensure a long service life and excellent discharge capacity. Compared with lead, gel or AGM batteries, it can handle high current, has a long range and is light in weight. In addition, the latest lithium-iron technology offers a high degree of intrinsic safety, so there is no risk of explosion even under the most extreme conditions.
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are the safest of the conventional lithium battery types. The nominal voltage of the lithium iron phosphate battery is 3.2V. Therefore, a 12.8V LIFEPO4 battery consists of 4 cells connected in series; a 24V LIFEPO4 battery consists of 8 cells connected in series.

Main Features
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are the chemistry of choice for a range of very demanding applications. Some of its function are:
The battery management system (BMS) provides comprehensive protection for the battery and intelligently manages the  charging/discharging process.

  • Long service life, generally up to 7-8 years.
  • High cycle life, even in the case of regular deep discharge, the cycle life is more than 3000 times.
  • No memory effect
  • High energy density – greater capacity, less weight and volume.
  • High charge and discharge current – fast charge and discharge possible.
  • Environmentally friendly, lead-free and acid-free.

Applicable fields: motorhomes and caravans/photovoltaics, solar and renewable energy systems/fishing, electric boat motors/power banks, camping and recreational activities.

Battery Management System (BMS)
The battery management system monitors and controls the individual cells of the battery, ensuring that the battery shuts down under conditions such as undervoltage or overload, and automatically restarts as soon as the problem is corrected to prevent damage to the battery.
Important functions of the battery management system:

  • Overload protection
In case of overload, BMS will turn off the battery output to protect the battery.
The battery has no voltage at this time; when conditions return to normal, the battery automatically returns to normal.

  • Deep discharge protection
Each cell inside the battery is individually monitored for deep discharge, and if this causes the battery output to be turned off, the battery can only be turned on again by charging.
Note: Even small consumers such as alarm systems, relays, backup systems, etc. will drain capacity and discharge the battery. If the battery will not be used for an extended period of time, disconnect all connections from the battery to the system.

  • Overvoltage protection
The total charging voltage of 12V LIFEPO4 battery is 14.6V, and the total charging voltage of 24V LIFEPO4 battery is 29.2V (the charging voltage of a single cell should not exceed 3.65V/cell), otherwise the battery will be damaged due to overvoltage. Therefore, it is best to use a dedicated charger with a final charging voltage of 14.4V-14.6V (28.8V-29.2V for 24V batteries) to charge LIFEPO4 batteries. While the BMS protects the battery from being overcharged, it itself must sink and consume current. If the charging voltage exceeds 14.6V (24V battery is 29.2V) for a long time, it will damage the BMS!

  • Active battery balancing
The built-in active balancer can adjust the battery at any time to ensure that the internal small batteries (cells) have the same voltage and prolong battery life.

  • Charging control
The BMS monitors and controls all parameters for reliable and safe charging at all times. If something goes wrong, charging can be prevented by turning off the battery output to protect the battery.

  • Battery temperature protection
When the battery temperature is too high/low, the BMS will shut down the battery. At this time, it is necessary to wait for the temperature to return to normal conditions before the BMS turns on the battery again.
