Product Usage Instructions

Installation

1. Measure the door size according to the specifications provided.
2. Follow the steps in Figure 1 and Figure 2 for proper installation.

Door Opening Direction

Ensure that the lock is installed with the correct door opening direction as per your preference.

Accessory Installation

1. Install the square bar onto the latch and thread cables through the middle.
2. Insert the square bar into the front handle before turning the mechanical key.
3. Secure the rear fixing plate and front handle with screws on the door.

How to Unlock & Lock

• Unlock via APP, fingerprint, passcode, IC card, or mechanical keys.
• The lock will automatically lock after 5 seconds of unlocking.
• In case of low battery, use a power bank for emergency power supply.

Maintenance

Keep your fingers clean when using the lock and follow the specified battery guidelines for optimal performance.

• Q: What should I do if accessories are missing?
  • A : Contact customer support directly for assistance with missing accessories.

TIPS

1. Install the square bar onto the latch, and get the cables through the middle of the square bar.
2. Be sure to insert the square bar into the front handle to correct the clutch before turning the mechanical key.
3. Fix the rear fixing plate, front handle with two screws on the door.

TIPS

1. This lock is equipped with mechanical keys for manual unlocking. Remove mechanical keys from the package and keep them in a safe place and always have access to them.
2. To power on the lock, four alkaline AAA batteries are required. Non-alkaline and rechargeable batteries are not recommended. If not used for a long time, please remove the battery.
3. This lock is not designed to be exposed to direct sunlight or rain. lt is not waterproof or lP-rated.
4. Keep your fingers clean when using this lock.

Installation

Please follow the below steps to install the lock

Measure the Door Size

Make sure door thickness is 1.38-2.16˜, door hole diameter is 2-1/8˜, and measure backset size is 2-3/8˜ or 2-3/4˜with the deadbolt.

TIPS

1. Available door thickness 35mm/1.38″-55mm/2.16″. If the door is over this range, please contact us for more information.
2. Please select the correct accessories according to your door thickness.

Check Points After Installation

1. The face plate is horizontal with the door.
2. The Latch bolt must work smoothly and flexibly!
3. Please make sure the cable will not be pressed.
4. Fix the handle with two screws, and check if it works fine.
5. Install the batteries, and cover the battery cover.

Voice guidance function : The lock provides voice guidance for the user and it will be helpful to set up the lock’s features correctly.
TIPS:
Firstly touch the panel to wake up the lock before any operation with the touch-control area. Any fingerprint or initial test passcode (123456#) can unlock it if no user is enrolled.

How to Unlock & Lock

Mechanical Keys

Use backup keys to unlock/ lock.
Automatic Lock
After unlocking for 5S, the device will auto-lock.
Emergency Supply

TIPS:

1. When the battery is low, the indicator will blink red light. The rest power could only be used for about 30 times. (Unable to operate the device on the APP）
2. When the battery is out of power, you can unlock the door with the key, or supply the lock with power through the micro-USB port and use fingerprint/ password/ IC Card to unlock it.

How to delete users (Factory reset)

When the lock is reset to factory defaults all user codes (All fingerprints/passcode/ IC cards will be deleted) are deleted and all programming features are reset to the original default settings.

Notes ： Press the reset button for 1 second， verify administrator,can quickly add users.

“ Free Passage” Mode Setting (Default: Auto Lock)

TIPS

1. Repeat Method 1 or Method 2 to switch from the “Free Passage” Mode to the “Auto Lock” Mode, and vice versa.
2. For any valid user to unlock the door, it will switch to “Auto Lock” Mode.

How to turn on/off the anti-lock feature

Method 2: Via APP, see P.9

Notes:

• Repeat the operation to turn off the anti-lock function.
• After locking, the first three groups of administrators can unlock normally, meanwhile, the anti-lock function is turned off.
• The ordinary users can not unlock and prompt: “System locked”.

Or search and download and install the “Tuya Smart” APP from the application market. After installation, follow the prompts to register and log in.

IMPORTANT :
The default administrator code is 123456. Before programming in the lock, it’s required that you change the default administrator code to a new administrator code of your own. If you have changed the default administrator code by following the Programming Guide, you must reset the lock before pairing this lock to the “Tuya Smart” App.

Notes : The first member who add the device default as administrator, others can not add.

How to connect smart lock and phone
Add a device: (Please turn on your phone’s Bluetooth)
A. If the password and fingerprint have been recorded in the device, it will enter the distribution network mode automatically. If not, press any password or fingerprint to enter the distribution network mode.
B. If it fails many times, please wake up the smart lock and make it turn on the Bluetooth broadcast.
C. The mobile phone between device distance should be less than 5 meters.

Member management

TIPS:

1. When adding a family member, you need to complete the home information of the smart lock (virtual information is sufficient).
2. Before adding, please confirm that the member to be added has registered with the tuya APP.
3. When adding a family member the family member needs to associate an account and accept the invitation before being added.

Other members

TIP : The family member added for the first time is the administrator.

Factory reset and unbind

TIPS:
Factory reset : All data in the device will be cleared.
If the APP is not connected to the smart lock,it can also be remotely operated to unbind.
If you want to add the device again on the Tuya APP,it must be under the factory reset state.

How to Program by Keypad

TIPS:

1. We suggest managing all the settings on the APP.
2. It is not recommended to set up the system through local commands in non-special circumstances, some functions may be affected.

1. The first user can be a fingerprint, password or IC card.
2. The first 3 users are masters, the 4th or more users are normal users.

Q &A

1. Why anyone’s fingerprints can unlock the lock?
   • The newly arrived fingerprint lock is an automatic program, all fingerprints can unlock under this program, you need to add the administrator fingerprint before continuing the subsequent programming.
   • Note : If the fingerprint addition fails, the program will not be canceled, please re-add the fingerprint.
2. Why does it keep failing when adding a password? Password must be 6-10 digits to take effect.
3. After installing the fingerprint lock, what should I do if the keyboard light of the fingerprint lock does not light up?  The connection cable may be squeezed during installation, resulting in poor contact. Please adjust the position of the connection cable appropriately.
4. Why do I keep getting an error when I recognize my fingerprint? When adding fingerprints, try to ensure that multiple areas of the finger are read.
5. Why does the fingerprint lock not automatically lock after unlocking? Some newly arrived locks have disabled the automatic locking mode, please turn on the automatic locking manually. See P.6 for more information: “Free Passage” Mode Setting.
6. When I use my fingerprint or passcode to unlock, the green light is on but I can’t unlock it normally.

It may be that the center of the lock cylinder is not positioned correctly when you reinstall it, you can readjust it and try again.

Safety and Warning

• Do not install the digital door lock in an outdoor environment.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the digital door lock by yourself. By doing so, you may get an electronic shock and damage the product.
• Do not use force with a tool on the product.
• Make sure to lock the door tight when you go out.
• Be careful not to hit the handle as it may cause injuries.
• Do not use water and any type of solvent to clean the product such as gasoline or benzene as they can cause damage to electronic circuits, deterioration, and or paint peel-off.
• It is recommended to change the User Code on a regular basis.
• In manual lock mode, make sure to double-check whether the door is securely locked.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries. Only alkaline batteries are recommended.
• Make sure to follow the above instructions to avoid any injuries.
• It cannot be guaranteed in special conditions & environments such as water condensation, or seaside
