Product Usage Instructions
Fiber Compatibility
The MS9740B-009 supports the following optical fibers:
- Single-mode fiber (SM) with a core diameter of 5 to 9.5 µm
- Multimode fiber (GI) with a core diameter of 50 µm
- Multimode fiber (GI) with a core diameter of 62.5 µm
Setting Measurement Mode
To set the measurement mode based on the fiber used:
- For SM fiber:
- Press F1 Measure Mode
- Set f5 MM Mode to Off
- For GI fiber:
- Press F1 Measure Mode
- Set f5 MM Mode to On
Setting Resolution
To set the resolution:
- Press f1 Res
- Select the desired value from f1 to f7
Multimode Fiber Mode (MM Mode)
The MM Mode is not available in the MS9740B-009.
