Install the battery, SIM card, and TF card.
As shown in the picture, please slide the back cover latch to the left to open the back cover to remove the battery, you will see the TF card slot and SIM card slot. Please slide the slot locking tab to the right to open the slot to install the TF card and SIM card.

Using Battery

  • Please remove the battery insulation sticker when using the battery for the first time
  • Please disconnect the power adapter in time after it is fully charged.
  • Do not leave the battery unused for a long time, no matter if it is in the device or inventory.
  • The lifespan of a Li-ion battery is around 2 to 3 years, the battery capacity will be lower after circularly charged about 300 times. (One full battery charge period means completely charged and completely discharged.)
  • When the Li-ion battery is not in use, it will continue to discharge slowly. Therefore, battery charging status should be checked frequently and reference to the related battery charging information in the manuals.
  • Observe and record the information of a new unused and non-fully charged battery. Based on the operating time of the new battery compared with a battery that has been used for a long time. According to the product configuration and application program, the operating time of the battery would be different.
  • Check battery charging status at regular intervals.
  • When battery operating time drops below about 80%, charging time will be increased remarkably.
  • If a battery is stored or otherwise unused for an extended period, be sure to follow the storage instructions in this document. If you do not follow the instructions, and the battery has no charge remaining when you check it, consider it to be damaged. Do not attempt to recharge it or to use it. Replace it with a new battery.
  • Store the battery at temperatures between 5 °C and 20 °C (41°F and 68°F).

TIP: While charging, the device and the charger may become hot and stop charging. This usually does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance and is in the device’s normal range of operation. For more solutions to battery woes, refer to Troubleshooting.

Turn Your Device On and Off
Please press and hold the power button for three seconds and then turn on the device. Do not use the device if the body is cracked or broken.

Press and hold the Side key to turn the device on.

  • To turn the device off, press and hold the Power keys, and tap Power off. Confirm when prompted.
  • To restart your device, press and hold the Power keys, and tap Restart. Confirm when prompted.

Scanner Configuration

Scan Tools
Scanner Configuration is an internal application software that can configure different functions of the scanner based on the user’s different usage scenarios.

General Settings

  • Tap “General Settings” to enter the Settings interface.

Scan Feedback

  • Vibrate: Successful scanning device vibrates to remind.
  • Sound: Successful scanning emits sound to remind, sound can be customized in the settings below.

Scan Output Mode

  • Keyboard Input Mode (HID ): This setting allows the barcode data to be transmitted to any input field in sequence by simulating keyboard inputs.
  • Widget Input Mode: This setting allows the barcode data to be transmitted as a whole into any input field. Only one of the two modes, Keyboard Input Mode and Widget Input Mode can be selected.
  • Copy to Clipboard : This setting saves the last scanned barcode data to the clipboard, making it convenient to paste the barcode data into any location.
  • Clear Previous Results : After enabling this function, the next scanning result will overwrite all the content in the input area.

  • Add prefix: Add characters in front of all barcode data content.
  • Add suffix: Add characters after all barcode data content.
  • String Truncation: Set the number of pre-post characters to delete all barcode data.
  • Add TBA : Choose to add spaces between barcodes.
  • Add ENTER : Add ENTER suffix, default line break display between barcodes.
  • Replace Character: Replace data in the barcode, using Hexadecimal characters to represent.
  • Scan Encoding : Choose different encoding methods.

Scanning Trigger
Enable or disable the left and right scanning key functions on the device.

  • Scan Mode Selection: Select different scanning modes.
  • Scan Interval(ms): In continuous scanning mode, the time interval between continuous scans, in milliseconds.
  • Config Data Broadcast : It allows you to set up the data broadcast for receiving scan data when connecting to the device.

Scanning Assist
Illumination Power Level: You can adjust the brightness of the illumination light, with a range from 1 to 10. The default is the brightest setting, which is 10, and the dimmest setting is 1.

Float Button: When enabled, a scan button will appear on the screen, and pressing this button will scan and read the barcode.

Screen Mode: Convenient for Scanning barcodes on screen.

Picklist Mode: Only the barcodes scanned in the center can be recognized.

Multi-scan Mode : It can read multiple barcodes at once, with a default setting of 5.

Reset Configs
If you encounter issues such as incorrect settings or the inability to scan, you can resolve them by resetting the device’s scanning configuration to its factory state.

Barcode Settings
We’ve integrated some common barcodes in this part, like UPC/EAN, EAN-8, EAN-13, etc. They’re visible under this section, and customers can easily set them accordingly.

Network & Internet
Manage connections between your device and a variety of networks and other devices.

Wi-Fi
You can connect your device to a Wi-Fi network to access the Internet without using your mobile data.

  1. From Settings, tap  Network & Internet Wi-Fi, and then tap to turn on Wi-Fi and scan for available networks.
  2. Tap a network, and enter a password if required.
  3. Tap Connect.

Connect to a Hidden Wi-Fi Network
If the Wi-Fi network you want is not listed after a scan, you can still connect to it by entering the information manually. Ask the Wi-Fi network administrator for the name and password before you begin.

  1. From Settings, tap Network & Internet  Wi-Fi, and then tap to turn on Wi-Fi and scan for available networks.
  2. Tap + Add Network at the bottom of the list.
  3. Enter information about the Wi-Fi network:
    • Network name : Type the exact name of the network.
    • Security : Select a security option from the list, and enter the password if required.
    • View more: Define other advanced options, such as IP and Proxy settings.
  4. Tap Save.

Mobile Networks
Use Mobile networks to configure your device’s ability to connect to mobile networks and use mobile data. Insert a SIM card before using it, Options may vary by carrier.

  1. From Settings, tap Network & Internet Mobile networks.
    • Data roaming: Enable data roaming usage.
    • Preferred networks: Select the priority of sim cards or network type.
    • Preferred network type : Choose your preferred Network type.
    • Access Point Names : Choose or add APNs with the network settings your device needs to connect to your provider.
    • Network operators: Choose available and preferred networks.

Bluetooth
You can pair your device to other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Once a pairing is created, the devices remember each other and can exchange information without having to enter the passkey again.

  1. From Settings, tap Connected device Pari new device to find other Bluetooth devices.
  2. Tap a device and follow the prompts to connect.

Languages & Input

Configure your device’s language and input settings.

To change system language:
You can add languages to your list and organize them according to your preference. If an app does not support your default language, then it will move to the next supported language in your list.

  1. From Settings, tap System Language & input, and then tap Languages.
  2. Tap + Add language to select the system language.
  3. Drag and drop the language item to the top side to change the system language.

To change the keyboard & inputs:

  1. From Settings, tap  System Language & input, and then tap Virtual Keyboard.
  2. Select other keyboards to switch system keyboard inputs.

Rename a paired device

You can rename a paired device to make it easier to recognize.

  1. From Settings, tap Connected device Pari new device to find other Bluetooth devices.
  2. Tap the Device name to enter a new name, and then tap RENAME.

Reset Options

Reset network settings and app preferences. You can also reset your device to its factory defaults.

  1. From Settings, tap System Reset options.The following options are available:
    • Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth: You can reset Wi-Fi, mobile data, and
    • Bluetooth settings with Reset network settings.
    • Reset app preferences: You can reset all app preferences settings and will not lose any app data.
    • Erase all data (factory reset): You can reset your device to factory defaults, erasing all data from your device.

This action permanently erases all data from the device, including Google or other account settings, system and application data and settings, downloaded applications, as well as your music, photos, videos, and other files. If you sign in to a Google Account on your device and set a Lock screen, Google Device Protection is automatically enabled.
