5.4 Dynamic load sharing
Dynamic load sharing function allows you to control the maximum power of a set
of TechnoVE charging stations.
Example: You have two stations installed and you do not want to overload your
electrical installation at all times or during winter. Your maximum power is
32A in total and you have two vehicles that each consumes 30A. If you
permanently reduce the power of your stations to 16A, you will have a recharge
time almost doubled. With dynamic load sharing, you use maximum power at all
times and thus reduce recharging time.
5.5 Local or stand-alone network mode
5.5.1 Local network mode
In this mode, the charging station will be connected to your local WIFI
network. Thus, when your device (phone, tablet) is connected to your network,
you have access to the terminal with the technove application.
5.5.2 Stand-alone network mode
Another interesting possibility is the fact that the terminal can be used in
stand-alone mode. In parking lots far from the building or in sub-buildings,
networks are often nonexistent.
You can add the connection to the terminal’s wifi network. And if there is no
known network nearby, your device will automatically connect to the charging
station when you approach it.
The application is functional as soon as the connection is established.
INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION
6.1 Install the application
- Android: Access the Google Play Store and install the application “TechnoVE”.
- IOS: Access AppStore and install the application “TechnoVE”.
6.2 Local or stand-alone network mode
6.2.1 Local network
In this configuration, the terminal will be connected to your local WIFI
network. Thus, when your device (phone, tablet) is connected to your network,
you have access to the terminal with the technove application.
Note 1: Your local network must be accessible where your charging station
is located.
Use your phone by placing it exactly where your terminal is located and check
if you have a network. Otherwise, you can install a local network WIFI booster
inexpensively.
Note 2: Your network must not be in AP Isolation (or Client Isolation)
mode.
You must disable this option if your network has this configuration. This is
normally used for guest networks.
6.2.2 Stand-alone network mode
In this configuration, the charging station is not connected to your network
and you can access it directly by logging in first.
This configuration is possible in places where no network is accessible. Once
your network connection with the terminal is established, your device will
automatically connect to the terminal when you approach it. The application is
functional as soon as the connection is established.
6.3 Launch the application « TechnoVE »
- Go to the “Terminals” section and select “+”.
- Automatic configuration mode: This mode is recommended.
- Manual configuration mode: Beforehand, you must connect your device directly to the network of the “technove_stations” terminal. The password is “abcde12345”.
- Follow the instructions.
6.3.1 Giving a name to your terminal
This name will appear in the list of stations but also as a network name.
6.3.2 Memorize the PIN and Confirm
Before confirming, you must memorize the PIN and write it down. This code will
allow you to give access to other users, but also you will need it when
installing the application in certain situations.
6.3.3 Connect to the station network
If you do not have any network available nearby, you can choose to connect to
the terminal’s network. Once configured, the network name will be
“technove_stationname”. The password is “abcde12345”. Your PIN is important
and unique to you.
USE
7.1 Main page
7.1.1 Horizontal
scrolling
You can switch from one terminal to another by sliding the display window from
right to left or vice versa.
7.1.2 Display of charging data and charging cost.
You can configure the kWh price in the STATS parameter section window.
7.1.3 Automatic or on demand mode
Specify the “automatic” or “on demand” mode by clicking on the round button
for this purpose. You can also make this selection in the “Terminals” window.
7.1.4 Activate high tariff periods, if defined
Specify the “high tariff” mode if you have defined high tariff periods. The
terminal will be deactivated during these periods of time.
7.1.5 Stop or start the charge
The button at the bottom of the window allows you to control the load if the
“on demand” mode is activated.
7.2 “Bornes” button
7.2.1 Station name
The name of the terminal is displayed there. This value is not editable. If
you wish to modify it you must carry out a reset of the terminal.
7.2.2 Maximum current
By selecting this value, you can specify the maximum charge current. Please
note that the current cannot be greater than the capacity specified at
installation.
7.2.3 Wifi
It displays of the configured network name. Otherwise, the word LOCAL is
displayed for local to the station. You can configure the Wifi network with
selecting this value.
7.2.4 Update
An update is available or not.
7.2.5 PIN
The identification number of the station is displayed. This value cannot be
changed.
7.2.6 Date
The current date and time are displayed.
7.2.7 Charging times and high tariff periods
This option allows you to define periods of time in a week for which recharges
are prohibited. For example, you would prefer not to charge during specific
times to avoid overloading your power supply, or for your utility company to
charge extra charges during certain times. To activate this option, you must
define these periods and activate the option.
7.2.8 Charging schedule and activation periods
This option allows you to define time periods in a week. During these
periods, the charging station will be activated and will allow charging. This
option must be activated in addition to automatic mode.
7.2.9 Factory reset
If you need to reset the terminal configuration, you have this option at the
end of the list of terminal characteristics, under “Charging schedule”.
7.3 « Stats » button
In this window, monthly and annual statistics are displayed. And you can
export this data for a year by any method you want.
You can see the details of the current month by selecting the month.
7.4 « Batterie » button
You can activate a battery protection mode. In this mode, you must specify
the threshold of the charge current in percent. At this threshold, the
terminal will stop charging. For example, 80% capacity equals 0.8 x 32 = 26
Amps. For example, if you charge at 30 Amps, the charge will stop at 26 Amps,
when the current declines towards the end of the charge.
Check if the battery charge percentage matches your request and adjust the
application percentage as needed.
Improvements will be made to this option in future updates.
7.5 « Partage » button
Dynamic load sharing allows you to control the maximum power of a set of
TechnoVE charging stations.
Example: You have two terminals installed and you do not want to overload your
electrical installation at all times or during winter. Your maximum power
would be 32A in total and you have two vehicles that each consume 30A. If you
continuously reduce the power of your stations to 16A, you will have a
recharge time almost doubled. With dynamic load sharing, you use maximum power
at all times and thus reduce recharging time.
- The stations must be configured and visible.
- Select the PARTGAGE button and activate 50% sharing. The percentage is adjustable and you can adjust it according to the priority of the recharge you want.
- The LED indicator on the terminal turns “yellow” for 2021 models.
Once the sharing has been transmitted to the stations, you can connect your vehicles.
TROUBLESHOOTING AND ERROR MESSAGES
8.2 Automatic configuration does not work
If the application is not able to see the station, then
- Approach the terminal and resume the process
- Check if the “technove_stations” wifi network is present, if so connect with the password “abcde12345”. Then close the application and resume configuration with the application in manual mode.
8.3 You see the “technove_stations” network but it is not possible to connect to it
- Disconnect the terminal or close the circuit breaker of the terminal, then reconnect.
- Try again. If none, call the support service.
8.4 If you try to connect the station to your local network, and you do not see your network in the list
- Perform a factory reset and start the configuration again.
8.5 Connection shows red and sometimes yellow, so your network signal is not strong enough at the station
- This sometimes happens when the terminal is outside. Simply add a WiFi signal repeater indoors as close as possible.
