The BLUE wire is NEUTRAL and should be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
The BROWN wire is LIVE and should be connected to the terminal
marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
The GREEN/YELLOW wire is EARTH and should be connected to the
terminal marked with the letter E or coloured GREEN or
GREEN/YELLOW.
Make sure the cord grip is positioned and fastened
correctly.
If using a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug, it must be fitted with a
13A fuse. If unsure, consult a qualified electrician.

Wiring Instructions: Should it be necessary to change the plug, please note the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following codes:
BLUE – NEUTRAL BROWN LIVE GREEN AND YELLOW – EARTH
In the event that the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance do not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The BLUE wire is NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured BLACK.
2. The BROWN wire is LIVE and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured RED.
3. The GREEN/YELLOW is EARTH and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or or coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Do not operate the appliance if there is a damaged cord , plug or after it malfunctions if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Arrange for the appliance to be examined or repaired by an authorised technician.
2. Always keep the appliance in an upright position to avoid any damage. Place the appliance on an even level surface during operation.
3. Ensure the household voltage matches the rated specification for the appliance before use. 4. Operate this appliance in an ambient temperature between 16°C and 35°C. 5. Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked or covered. Do not insert fingers or any ob-
jects into the air inlet or outlet openings. 6. Do not place the unit too close to curtains or any other objects, keep minimum distance of 50cm. 7. The Refrigerant R32 Gas

Read the precautions in this manual carefully

This appliance is filled with R32.

before operating the unit.

· The warnings and cautions described below both contain important information regarding safety. Be sure to observe all warnings without fail.

· As of the production date of this air conditioner this manual is the most the up to date version. This manual maybe subject to change post produc-
tion without notice. Please visit www.ecoair.org for the most up to date version of this manual.

WARNING

· Install the air conditioner on a foundation strong enough to withstand the weight of the unit. A foundation of insufficient strength may result in
the equipment falling and causing injury.

· The used refrigerant is the fluoride R32. This is a non polluting refrigerant that does not harm the ozonosphere. It has a low GWP (Global Warm-
ing Potential) compared with R410A.

· R32 has got very good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy efficiency. The units therefore requires less gas
to operate.

· According to International Standards ISO 817:2014 R32 is rated as A2L–Lower toxicity (A), and lower risk of flammability (2L)
· R32 Gas is a lower flammability refrigerant with a maximum burning velocity of <10cm/s according to International Standards ISO 5149
· R32 Gas will not combust unless three conditions, in specific quantities or with sufficient energy are met: 1) Refrigerant concentration (14 to
31volume % – 0,3 to 0,6kg/m3 2) Constant oxygen 3) An ignition source (30 to 100mJ [static electricity 1,25mJ)
· If the refrigerant R32 gas leaks, ventilate the area immediately. Toxic gas may be produced if the refrigerant comes into contact with fire or an
ignition source.
· All the work men who are engaging in the refrigeration system should bear the valid certification awarded by the authoritative organisation and
the qualification for dealing with the refrigeration system recognised by this industry. If it needs any other technician to maintain and repair the air conditioner, they should be supervised by the person who bears the qualification for using the flammable refrigerant.
· While not in use the air conditioner must be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (e.g. open flames, an operating gas
appliance or and an electric heater). Under no circumstances should this air conditioner be stored in a server room or any other similar environment.
· Do no use means to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

· Never touch the refrigerant piping or compressor without wearing gloves to avoid scald or frostbite.

Installation Notes · The air conditioner is not allowed to be used in a room that has a running fire (Such as fire source, working coal gas
ware, operating heater, server room etc) · The air conditioner must be installed in a room that is larger than the minimum room area. ( See table pg.27 )

BOTTOM DRAINAGE PORT FOR USE BEFORE STORAGE & WHEN FULL TANK LIGHT IS ON

Before Storage we recommend you drain the internal storage tanks using this drainage port.

STEP 1. Remove the rubber plug from the bottom drainage port.

STEP 3. Attach one end of the drainage pipe to the drainage port with the pipe clip.
Make sure the hose is fully inserted into the drainage port.
Put the rubber plug into the other side of drainage pipe, fix it with pipe clip and then fix it into the drainage pipe clamp.

STEP 2. Attach the drain hose pipe clamp to the back panel of the appliance near the bottom drainage port with the
screw provided.

INSTALLATION OF CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE FROM MIDDLE DRAINAGE PORT

Water can be automatically emptied from the middle drainage port with a 14mm inner diameter hose (Not included in the package) which can be ordered from our website:
www.ecoairdirect.com

STEP 1. Remove the continuous drainage cap by turning it counter clockwise then remove the rubber plug form the middle drainage port.

STEP 2. Screw the drain connector to the drainage port by turning clockwise.

Store both the cap and plus safely for use when not in continuous drainage mode

STEP 3. Insert the drainage hose (14mm) into the drainage connector.
Make sure the drainage hose goes downward from the middle drainage port.
The end of the drainage hose should not be outside when temperature is below 1°C.

NOTE: When using continuous drainage option;
Place the appliance on a level surface Make sure the continuous drainage hose is clear of any
obstructions. The drainage hose should be placed downwards from
the drainage ports. Do not bend or kink the drainage hose.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS:
The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations. The appliance is for indoor use only, but should not be installed in a high humidity area (i.e.
laundry room or wet room). Place the appliance on a smooth level floor that is strong enough to support the unit. Allow at least 50cm of air space on all sides of the appliance for good ventilation. Place the appliance in an area where the temperature will not fall below 16°C. Otherwise the
coils will be covered with frost at temperatures below 16°C and this may reduce performance.
Note: The appliance has castors for easy movement.

1. Connect the rain guards to the insect guard net. Insert all three projections on each rain guard into the holes in the insect guard net. Side “A” will now be at the top, as indicated in the diagram.

INSTALLATION OF DISCHARGE PIPE STEP 5. DISCHARGE PIPE THROUGH A WINDOW GAP Open the window and place the discharge pipe between the window frame and the window. Seal the gap with a foam (not supplied) to prevent the hot air coming back into the room.
STEP 5. DISCHARGE PIPE CONNECTION In order to improve cooling efficiency, make sure the discharge pipe is as short and straight as possible. Do not joint any other discharge pipe to the original pipe.

DRAIN WATER FROM APPLIANCE
DRAIN WATER FROM BOTTOM DRAINAGE PORT During cooling mode, the appliance requires water drainage from the bottom drainage port. This will be indicated as an “H8” error. (see troubleshooting on page 18) 1. Remove the drainage pipe from the drainage pipe clamp and release the excess water by remov-
ing the rubber plug. 2. Drain the water out completely and the appliance should resume operation. Secure the plug and
hose back into position. 3. Drain water completely before storage to avoid internal odours and mould.

After switching ON, the appliance will respond with a beep sound. After that, you can operate the appliance with the control panel or remote control.
Under ON status, when pressing any button on control panel, the appliance will give out a sound. Meanwhile, corresponding indicator light on control panel will be on.
Under OFF status, there is no display on the control panel. Under ON status, the set temperature will show on the display control panel only in cooling
mode. For any other modes, the display will not show the temperature.
ON / OFF BUTTON
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on and off.
MODE BUTTON Press this button to select :
COOL: When cooling Mode indicator is on, the appliance will operate in cooling mode. Display shows the set temperature. DRY: When drying Mode indicator is on, the display shows nothing. Appliance will operate at low speed only. FAN: When fan mode indicator is on, the display shows nothing. The appliance only blows air in the ambient temperature as a fan does.

QUICK SET UP

SET BUTTONS
Under cooling mode, press “+” or “-” button to increase or decrease set temperature by 1 °C. Set temperature range is between 16°C – 30°C. Under auto, drying or fan mode, this button is invalid.
FAN BUTTON Press this button to select: Auto Low Medium High These fan speeds can be selected in cooling and fan modes only.
TIMER BUTTON

Press this button to select sleep mode. (Works in Cooling and Dry Mode only) The preset temperature will increase by 1°C after the first hour. The preset temperature will increase by 2°C after two hours. The appliance will operate in this
temperature until it is switched off. Use this mode for bedtime, the appliance will reduce the cooling as you fall asleep since our
body temperature tends to come down during that period.

QUICK SET UP
X-FAN BUTTON Press this button to switch ON and OFF the X-fan mode under cooling and dry modes. This mode air dries the inside of the appliance when it is switched off so that the fan will continue to operate at low speed for a few minutes before switching off. When X-fan mode is OFF, the fan will stop immediately upon switching off. Note: Regular use of X-fan mode reduces condensation within the appliance, which can cause mould and musty smell build-up.

Hold the horizontal louvres and move up or down for your comfort.

Hold the vertical louvres and move left or right.

REPLACING BATTERIES
1. Gently pull clip back on the battery cover to remove.
2. Replace two (AAA 1.5V) dry batteries and make sure the positions of plus and minus poles are correct.
