Power Adapter Instruction
Volkswagen cars have three different power interfaces, namely PQ quadlock, ISO plug and MQB quadlock. See the diagram below: We have two types of power adapters, A and B, as shown in the diagram below. We default to providing adapter A.
If you need adapter B, please contact our after sale service.

1. If your car is PQ Quadlock, you need the A adapter. It is in the package you received.
2. If your car is ISO Plug, you need the B adapter.
3. If your car is MQB Quadlock, you don’t need adapter.
   You can just connect the radio with the original power adapter in your car.

Attention:
For the car POLO 6C with MQB Quadlock, this radio doesn’t fit for your car. We have another radio special for POLO 6C. You can contact us.

versions of the RCD360 radio

The RCD360 radio has 2 versions, “Backup camera activated” and “Backup camera deactivated”.

• If your car has installed the backup camera already, please choose the version “Backup camera activated”.
• If there is no backup camera on your car, please choose the version “Backup camera deactivated”.

Attention:
If you make an incorrect purchase, please refer to FAQ- Q8 to encode the camera setting or contact us.

FAQ/Frequently Asked Questions

1.How to connect with the radio

For the most cars after 2009, The radio is plug and play. Please check all the adapters in our package, then choose the right adapter to install it. There is also an antenna adapter, if your original radio has 2 interfaces, you need to use the antenna adapter.

2.The radio is not compatible

If you find the radio or adapter is not fit for your car after you receive that, Please send the dashboard and your original interface photo to our technical customer service, We’d like to help you out.

3.Multi-function steering wheel doesn’t work

If your car was manufactured before 2009 and has 8- button multi-function steering wheel, you need to purchase a decoder (YX2219). If your car was manufactured before 2009 with has 8- button multi-function steering wheel and has battery leakage problem, you need to purchase a decoder (YX2219-S) Otherwise the radio cannot support Multi-function Steering Wheel. Please contact our service for help.

4.Battery leaking problem

1)The radio does not shut down when the key is removed, it is because the CAN signal does not recognize the decoder signal and the signal between the CAN signal and the decoder does not match.

Situations And Solutions:

1. There is no multi-function steering wheel in your car, please pull off the yellow pin of the power adapter, and connect it to the power source. Then, connect the power source to the fuse box on the left side of the steering wheel. Please make sure to connect it to the ACC (Accessory) power source instead of the constant power source; otherwise, the leakage problem may still exist.
2. If your car was manufactured before 2009 and has 8-button multi-function steering wheel, you can purchase a plug(YX2219 or YX2219-S) to resolve the battery leakage issue.

• Steering wheel does not work, no battery leakage problem. Please contact us to buy YX2219.
•  No matter whether the steering wheel is working or not, as long as there is a battery leakage situation, you need to use YX2219-S.

How to connect the power source.
connect the power source to the fuse box on the left side of the steering wheel. Please make sure to connect it to the ACC (Accessory) power source instead of the constant power source; otherwise, the leakage problem may still exist.
The radio restarts after 30 minutes and has battery leakage, probably due to the decoder. Poor contact of decoder may cause the radio to overheat and die.
If the decoder is damaged,the radio will not completely shut down. Please contact us to replace it.
External device caused the battery leakage issue.

1. D Disconnect all the external devices except the main unit. Check one by one.
2. If the camera caused the battery leakage problem, unplug the camera power cable.

If your car model is manufactured before 2010 and the above methods cannot solve the battery leakage problem, you can also upgrade the gateway. If you need it,please contact us.
The communication in cars is implemented through the CAN-BUS, because the production year of RCD360 PRO 2 is later than your car. Volkswagen upgraded the bus of the subsequent platform models between 2008 and 2010, which resulted in the previous gateway releasing some messages that cannot be interpreted by the new devices. A common phenomenon is that the head unit cannot be notified that your key has been removed, which leads to power leakage.
Apple Carplay problem
Please connect your iPhone through the USB port, and the device will automatically detect your iPhone.
Please make sure that the Carplay function is turned on. Please click Apple Carplay on the APP Menu, and then you can enter the Carplay interface to operate the APPS easily.
Carplay doesn’t work:

• We suggest that you avoid frequently pulling out the USB cable and only unplug it from your phone, as this can protect the USB port of your device. Regularly plugging and unplugging the USB cable can cause the USB port to become loose and eventually lead to damage.
• Please reset the radio system in the system settings and clear the CarPlay connection records in your phone.

Carplay no sound:
If you decide to use the Carplay function, usually you do not need to connect Bluetooth to the radio. If you have connected both Bluetooth and Carplay, it may cause a conflict. Please turn on the Allow Carplay switch on your phone, otherwise the radio cannot communicate with your phone.

Android Auto (used for Android system phone)

• Download the Android APP from the Google Play in your Phone, and run it.

• After running, the system will ask you to install all supporting software and update existing programs.
  After all updates and installations are over, the Android Auto application can run normally.

• Use the data cable (preferably the original cable) to connect the mobile phone to the USB port of the vehicle. The mobile phone runs Android Auto, the icon of the vehicle changes, and the mobile phone automatically enters Android Auto.

• For wireless Android auto of RCD360 PRO 3S, Wireless Android Auto isn’t available on devices with Android (Go edition). To use wireless Android Auto devices need to meet the following requirements: Android 11 and above system; active data plan and
  support 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Compatible with these Android versions: Any phone with Android 11.0. Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0. Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ or Note 8, with Android 9.0.

Microphone no sound
If the person you are calling cannot hear your voice, please check if both the car’s Bluetooth and CarPlay are connected at the same time. You can only choose one connection method between CarPlay and the car’s Bluetooth. If you have previously connected your
phone via Bluetooth, please delete the connection, otherwise, the car’s Bluetooth will automatically connect to your phone and cause the microphone to not work.
Speakers no sound

• If the speaker is no sound after installed the new radio, there are two possible reasons:

1. If the left or right speaker is not working, it is very likely that the speaker wire is not making good contact.You first check whether the pins of the speaker on the power adapter are in good contact. The power plug may loosen or deform the speaker pins during wiring, causing poor contact. As shown in the right figure, please check whether it is loose.
   After connecting the power cord, if the speaker pin is loose, you can plug it in directly to make the speaker pin tighter.

2.  If both front or both rear speakers are not working, it is very likely a reset issue with the amplifier. This situation has nothing to do with our machine.
   —Check if the volume balance is properly adjusted. The adjustment method is shown in the following diagram.

• If the issue is not solved, please reset the radio to try.
  1. please long press the start button 10-15 seconds to restart the radio.
  2. 0r you can factory set the radio in “System settings”

• If the issue persists, it is possible that you are using a car audio system with a power amplifier, such as

Dynaudio, Fender or other sound systems.In this case, you need to disconnect the car battery and wait for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. This will reset the car amplifier and allow it to properly match with the audio system.

• If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer support for further assistance.

Rear View Camera function
If you make an incorrect purchase, please encode the camera setting. You need to use VCDS to turn on/off the rear camera function.
Enter 56-Radio, choose 3 bite. change 40″ to “00”.
After that please long press the “Power” buttons more than 20 seconds to restart the radio.
Here are some pictures about how to program the code.If your car is not built-in camera, we recommend purchasing our company’s camera to ensure normal use of the product.

• If your car is installed with an after- market camera, please follow the instructions to connect the AV cable and the reverse detection cable. In most cases, it can be used normally. If there is a flash and then black screen issue on some models, please contact us for a free delay timer.
  » If your original radio is equipped with an RGB interface, please replace the entire camera with our brand. The current new version of the unit, whether original or after-market, no longer uses the old GB interface. We recommend that you replace it completely. The RGB to AV converters available on the market are also very unstable and not recommended for purchase.

• If your car is equipped with a Volkswagen original MIB camera with the blue interface, simply plug the blue connector directly into the corresponding position of the quadlock adapter.

Attention:
After installing the camera, please test it by closing the trunk to avoid the camera not working due to the reverse lights not functioning. If you still encounter installation issues, please refer to the instructions and contact our customer service. 99% of the  roblems can be resolved.
Radio Antenna issues
The antenna interface you received is a single hole. Most of the radio can use it directly except the follwing situations.

1. If your car’s original antenna interface is a dual hole, as shown in the middle picture below, we recommend purchasing a dual-hole antenna to ensure the normal operation of the antenna.
2. If your car’s original antenna interface is a separated dual hole, as shown in the middle picture below, we also recommend purchasing a dual-hole antenna to ensure the normal operation of the antenna.

Protection mode

-Display, system, power amplifier temperature protection mode
‘When the temperature is lower than or equal to minus 20 degrees Celsius or higher than 60 degrees Celsius. The radio will enter the temperature protection mode, the screen will display [not in the operating temperature range. The screen/entertainment system
will be shut down soon]. The volume of the radio will decrease.
-Low battery protection mode
‘When the battery power is too low, the radio will enter the low battery protection mode.
