ESCORT Smart Site Mini Rearview Camera System
Product Information
The Rearview Camera System is specifically designed for passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs. It includes a monitor and a camera that provide a clear view of the rear surroundings of the vehicle. The system is powered on/off using the monitor controls.
Monitor Installation
When installing the monitor, it is important to choose a suitable location.
Avoid placing it near heat sources (such as the radiator or air duct), in
direct sunlight, areas with excessive dust, or where mechanical vibration or
shock may occur. Attach the supplied bracket to the glass or a flat area and
ensure it is firmly affixed. Find the best position and angle for the monitor,
then rotate the bracket and fix it firmly.
Camera Installation
During camera installation, use the supplied bracket and extension cable to
ensure waterproofing. Mount the camera on the rear of the vehicle, preferably
in a central position. Securely fasten the camera and route the cable to the
monitor.
Connection
Before making connections, disconnect the ground terminal of the car
battery to avoid a short circuit. Refer to the wiring diagram provided and
connect the appropriate cables to their respective connectors or jacks. Ensure
all plugs are fully inserted. The camera system should be energized when the
ignition key is in the accessory position. The system is triggered by engaging
the R (reverse) gear.
Cleaning and General Maintenance
To keep the camera system in good condition, regularly clean the monitor
and camera using a soft cloth and mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh
chemicals or abrasive materials that may damage the surfaces. Perform general
maintenance as recommended in the owner’s manual.
