Suggestion
Relocation of refrigerator.
- Disconnect the power cord.
- Remove water from the evaporating tray.
- Take food out of the refrigerator compartments.
- Fasten the doors with tape while moving to prevent them from opening
- For safety, use 2 people to carry the refrigerator.
- Do not lift the unit in a horizontal angle, however, it may be 45 degrees tilted slightly.
INSTALLATION

Select a place with strong, level floor. If the floor is not quite level, adjust the height of the screw accordingly (Fig 1 ).

Allow sufficient clearance between the refrigerator’s back, also the side wall, so the door can open fully and to minimize noise (Fig 2).

Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Direct sunlight may affect the enamel coating.
Heat sources nearby will cause higher electricity consumption (Fig 3). -
Avoid operation of the refrigerator in a moist environment. Too much moisture will cause frost to form on the evaporator, which will in turn, increase energy consumption (Fig 4).

Don’t connect multiple appliances to one outlet. It may cause fire. To avoid the possibility of electrical shock, ground the refrigerator properly. The earth screw is located on the rear side of the refrigerator (Fig 5).

If you wish to connect to the refrigerator to an additional earthing source, attach a grounding wire to the earth junction marked and connect to an external earthing rod. Contact an electrician to ensure this is done in accordance with local regulations. (Fig 6).

After moving the refrigerator, allow to stand for 3-6 hours before switching on, to allow cooling system to settle.
OPERATION
■ Make a test run
-
Your refrigerator is clean after manufacture, but it is recommended that you wipe all interior surfaces with a warm damp cloth prior to first use.

After cleaning, replace all trays, baskets and lids.
-
Keep the door open and plug the power cord into its own electrical outlet.
The interior lamp should switch on while the door is open. -
Properly close the door.
SUGGESTION
- Temperature setting for first use
For faster cooling in refrigerator compartment, set the temperature as follows.
Freezer Compartment : Dial to position “Cold”
Refrigerator Compartment : Dial to position “Coldest”
Wait for 3 hours, the turn both the refrigerator and freezer dials to the middle position between “Cold” and “Coldest”
■ Temperature Control
The refrigerator is equipped with 2 independent controls to control the degree of cooling of the refrigerator and freezer compartment.

Freezer Compartment
Cold. : Minimum Setting for fairly cold in freezer compartment.
Coldest. : Maximum Setting for the coldest in freezer compartment. -
Refrigerator Compartment
Cold. : Low volume of air circulation in refrigerator compartment.
Coldest. : High volume of air circulation in refrigerator compartment.
■ Making Ice Cubes
- Ice cubes are made in Twist Ice Maker, turn the lever clockwise to empty the ice into Ice Cube Box.
- Store the ice cubes in the Ice Cube Box. Do not store wet ice cubes or they will stick together.
- Do not use the “Ice Cube Box” as an ice making tray, or it will be damaged.
■ Automatic Defrost
Defrosting will automatically operate. No manual control is required. The
defrosted water will drain into the evaporation tray and will vaporize with
the heat of the compressor.
■ Food Storage
- Refrigerated air goes down at the rear of the fresh food compartment and rises up at the front. Store foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and meats which require immediate cooling at the rear of the cabinet.
- Leave spaces between foodstuffs to help air circulation.
- Foodstuffs which are easily dried should be well wrapped with waxed paper, aluminum foil or plastic film.
- Wrap fish and smoked meats in moisture-vapor-proof material to prevent transfer of odours.
- Pre-cool hot foods, wrap them with plastic film or put them in an airtight receptacle.
- Wipe any water off the surface of the bottles before storing them.
- Do not store carbonated beverages or pressurised containers in the freezer compartment.
- Do not put vegetables against the rear cabinet or else they may freeze.
- If planning to keep fresh fish and meats for a long period, wrap them in freezer paper and store in the freezer compartment.
■ Cleaning the Evaporator Drain Tray
Since dust accumulates on the evaporator drain tray, this may decrease the
evaporation efficiency, remove the tray to clean.
If the tray is not securely in place, defrosted water may spill or the
evaporation process may be hindered.
Suggestion : The Evaporator Drain Tray should be cleaned at least once a
month.
■ Lamp Replacement
If the lamp fails to illuminate, please contact Customer Care for advice or to
have the lamp replaced. Do not attempt to replace yourself.
CLEANING
- Before cleaning the refrigerator, you should always unplug it from the electrical outlet and remove all food.
- Wipe both the interior and exterior of the refrigerator with warm water and dry with a soft clean cloth.
- Clean internal trays, containers and racks with warm water and dry with a soft clean cloth.
- Clean the door gaskets with warm water and dry with a soft clean cloth.
- Wipe the control knob with a soft clean cloth. Never wash it with water because this may cause an electric shock.
- Never use brushes, acids, chemical thinner, gasoline or benzine for cleaning any part of the refrigerator.
- To remove odours from your fridge, mix a lemon skin with warm water. Wipe the interior of the fridge thoroughly and dry with a soft clean cloth.
- Clean the inside of the refrigerator and door gasket once a month. It is the best to clean the freezer compartment every time when it is switched off.
CAUTION

Do not connect this refrigerator to power outlets that are shared with other products.

Set the power plug free from the back side of the refrigerator. A damaged power plug may cause fire due to overheating.

Be careful not to place the power cord underneath of the refrigerator or other heavy objects. Damage to the power cord could cause a short circuit and fire.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Do not place hot objects on, or near this refrigerator. Keep the refrigerator away from direct heat sources such as clothes dryers, heaters or the sun. This refrigerator contains Cyclopentane insulation and should be kept away from heat or naked flame.

Do not install the refrigerator near gas outlets or flammable areas. Do not unplug during a gas leakage, as static electricity could cause a sparking fire and/or explosion.

Do not place containers of unsealed liquids on the refrigerator.
-
Do not install the refrigerator in a moist or wet place.

Do not insert the power plug with a wet hand.
-
Do not try to service the refrigerator yourself, please contact service agent.

Make sure the power outlet is securely grounded to avoid electrical hazard.

Do not remove the power plug from the socket by pulling on the cable.
-
During power fluctuations or during power outages, unplug the power cord and leave for at least 5 minutes before plugging in again.
-
Keep the door closed during power outages to preserve food.
-
If the doors are not properly closed, food may spoil inside and will result in excessive energy consumption.

When cleaning the refrigerator do not splash water directly to the refrigerator.
Follow the cleaning instructions described in this manual. -
Use a damp, not dripping cloth, to clean the refrigerator to avoid damage to electrical components or electrical shock.

Do not use inflammable sprays near the refrigerator, because there is a danger of ignition.
-
Do not hang from doors or use the refrigerator as a step as it may be damaged or fall over causing personal harm.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical ability including children, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

When not in use for a prolonged period, empty the refrigerator and disconnect the power plug. Wipe the interior surfaces and leave the door open until dry, then close the doors.
