INTENDED USE

This outdoor socket outlet is used to control tights and other electrical devices and can be controlled with the tint remote control and/or integrated into a smarthome system with Zigbee gateway. Two sockets on the front can be switched simultaneously by radio. The two sockets on the back are permanently switched on. The outdoor socket is splash-proof (1P44) and suitable for outdoor use.

The item is unsuitable for commercial use.

SAFETY INFORMATION

NOTICE!

  • Children are not allowed to play with the item.
  • Do not use the item if it is damaged.

WARNING!

  • Keep children away from packaging materials. There is danger of suffocation if swallowed.

DANGER of fire, electric shock and/or explosion.

  • Electrical work may only be carried out by authorized quali-fied personnel!
  • Improper installation can cause serious damage, for exam-ple short circuit, electric shock, fire etc.
  • Do not plug in one after the other!
  • Do not operate covered!
  • Observe the maximum connected load! The total pow-er consumption of all connected loads must not exceed 3680 W.
  • Observe the local installation regulations.
  • The product is protected against splash water, but is not waterproof. Do not operate the device in water or in the immediate vicinity of water.
  • Ensure that the ground is firm when installing the socket using the ground spike.
  • The socket may only be opened by a qualified person.

ATTENTION!

  • Do not operate the product when it is damaged.
  • Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer, its service department or a comparable electrician.

INSTALLATION

WARNING!

  • Electrical installations may only be carried out by autho-rized qualified personnel!
  1. Before connecting the cables, disconnect the power supply: switch off the circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse and se-cure it against being switched on again.
  2. Connect a suitable connection cable (not included) to the cable connector as shown in illustrations -E37 – 11). Make sure that the cables are connected correctly and held securely. The protective conductor (green-yellow) must be connected to the corresponding terminal marked with the symbol.
  3. Position the outdoor socket with the ground spike in a suitable place or use screws to screw the outdoor socket to a suitable surface. If necessary, the cable exit provided for this purpose can be cut out. Make sure that the outdoor socket is vertical and has a secure hold.
  4. Now switch the fuse back on.

COMMISSIONING

To control the outdoor socket, you must connect it to the tint remote control or a suitable smart home system with Zigbee gateway. The two switchable sockets can be switched on and off simultaneously. Alternatively, the sockets can also be switched with the ON/OFF button. The sockets on the back are permanently switched on.

  1. If you have a tint remote control:
    • Press the on/off button 5 times quicly. The control LED will start flashing.
    • Prepare the remote control for connecting according to the operating instructions and hold it close to the out-door socket (near the switch).
    • The outdoor socket is connected when the control LED lights up 3 times.
  2. If you have a Zigbee gateway (Ex. Hue Bridge V2, Amazon Echo with integrated Zigbee Smart Home Hub*):
    • On the gateway or the corresponding APP, start the search process.
    • Press the on/off button 5 times quickly. The control LED will start flashing.
    • The outdoor socket is connected when the control LED lights up 3x.

SMART HOME READY

The tint products produced by MULLER-LICHT can be controlled using the latest Zigbee radio standard 3.0 and are compatible with a range of light control systems, such as Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, Magenta Smart Home*, Amazon’s voice assistant (with Amazon Echo devices with integrated Zigbee smart home hub, please note the item descriptions of the devices), and many more. To integrate into a gateway/an app, the tint product must be reset, see Resetting the product/pairing mode. RESETTING THE PRODUCT/PAIRING MODE.

A reset of the tint socket is only necessary in exceptional cas-es, e.g. if the remote control had to be reset, or if you want to integrate the tint socket into a smart home gateway.

  1. Press the on/off button 5 times in quick succession.
  2. The control LED flashes several times. You can integrate the outdoor socket into your tint remote control and/or a smart home system with Zigbee as usual.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible causes
Product does not work
  • A wire is damaged. Take the product outof service immediately and replace it.
  • The batteries in the tint remote control are empty and must be replaced.
  • You have selected an incorrect group or no group at all. Select the correct group using the group button.
  • The fuse is not switched on.
  • The remote control or the Smarthome system are too far away from the sock­et. Reduce the distance if necessary.

I cannot add the tint product.|

  • The tint product is already assigned toa remote control or a gateway. Please remove it from the existing network
  • Make sure that the tint product is in coupling mode.
  • Bring it closer to the remote control
  • Switch off any nearby Zigbee devices

CLEANING AND DISPOSAL

WARNING!

Electric shock and danger of short circuit! If water penetrates into the 230 V shockproof circuit, this can cause an electric shock or a short circuit.

  • Switch off the fuse before cleaning.
  • Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Stubborn stains can be removed with a slightly damp cloth, if necessary using a neutral cleaner.

Dispose

Old appliances must not be disposed of with nor- mal household waste. In accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU, the device must be disposed of properly at the end of its service life. The recyclable materials contained in the device are recycled and pollution of the environment is avoided. Return the old device free of charge to a collection point for electrical waste or a recycling yard.

 Dispose of the packaging materials in an environ- mentally friendly manner by placing them in the ti collection containers provided.
