In order to obtain utmost output from your appliance, please read carefully this user’s manual and save it for further use.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- Make sure that the voltage indicated on the Arzum Steady Grill and Sandwich Maker corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.
- Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes.
- To prevent harming your appliance do not use extension cords that supply insufficient current.
- Keep the appliance away from and out of the reach of children.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. EN 12 ARZUM
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of the children less than 8 years.
- NEVER place the Arzum Steady Grill and Sandwich Maker over or near direct heat sources such as a stove or heating oven.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of a table or counter, or touch any other appliances or hot surfaces.
- Place the unit on a flat and fixed surface, which would be resistant to heat.
- After having used, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and allow it to cool down; move only after it has completely cooled down.
- When not in use and before cleaning, disconnect the mains plug from power outlet.
- Do not operate the appliance without cooking plates attached.
- NEVER immerse the appliance into water for cleaning or any other purposes; do not let any water / water steam leak into the unit.
- Do not touch metal parts when in use.
- Avoid actions that may harm or damage the cord or plug of your device. To unplug the appliance, first hold the plug and NEVER pull by the cord.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the\ appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner, such as by dropping down, etc. Do not attempt to repair it by yourself. Immediately contact a Arzum Authorized Service.
- Use your appliance as recommended.
SUGGESTIONS OF USE
- You can use your Arzum Steady Grill and Sandwich Maker for various purposes such as warming and cooking foods, grilling, making sandwiches, and toasting.
- Owing to its adjustable temperature setting button and pilot light, this unit operates safely, prevents overheating, and keeps the cooking surface at constant temperature selected, ensuring the proper cooking on time.
- You can remove the non-stick cooking plates and clean them easily. Before using for the first time rinse the cooking plates with tepid water and a little dishwashing detergent. Then, attach the cooking plates to their place. A click sound will indicate that the edges have been fitted well onto the cooking surface.
- We recommend you to oil the surfaces slightly, before using for the first time.
- Connect the mains plug to the power outlet and set the variable temperature button to the maximum level. You may notice a slight smoke or odor. This is normal and will not recur after a while.
NOTE:
Ensure that the cord is kept away from the cooking plates when in use
Warm Up and Ready Lights
- Warm up light indicates when the grill/ sandwich maker is switched on and heating and the ready light indicates that it is ready to use.
Setting Temperature
- You can adjust the temperature setting by turning the temperature adjustment knob according to the setting levels on it, as your need.
Using Your Grill and Sandwich Maker:
- Connect the mains plug to the power outlet.
- Turn the switch “ON”.
- Preheat the appliance until the pilot light (temperature light / red light) goes on.
- You can use your device with the upper cover opened or closed.
- When you have finished cooking unplug the appliance from the power outlet and allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.
Note: Ensure that the cord is kept well from the cooking plates when in use
COOKING FUNCTIONS
Use as a Sandwich maker

Connect the mains plug to the power outlet and Turn the switch “ON”. Preheat until the ready light (red light) illuminates before use.

Place the toasts on the plate. Gently close the top plate. The flatting hinge system will adjust automatically ensuring that the top cooking plate lies evenly on your sandwiches, for perfect toasting every time.

The length of cooking time depends on the case, filling and personal taste. Your sandwich maker cooks on both sides at a time.

It is not necessary to butter the outsides of all breads as the sandwich\ maker/grill has non-stick cooking plates.

The cooking plates are coated with durable non-stick coating. Some filing such as cheese may melt and cause the sandwich to stick to the cooking plates. To free the sandwich, use a plastic spatula or wooden spoon. Never use a sharp or metal object, as this will damage the nonstick surface.
Use as a Grill

Connect the mains plug to the power outlet and Turn the switch “ON”. Preheat until the ready light (red light) illuminates before use.

Place the foods to be cooked on the bottom of cooking plate carefully,
-
Close the upper cover and allow food to cook for desired time. The power light will go on indication that the foods are heating.

You can grill with the upper cover opened, without causing it to touch the upper surface.

Turn and remove the foods on the cooking plate using a wooden spatula.

If desired, turn the foods during cooking in order to make upper and bottom of the foods marked with grilling traces.

After the desired amount of time, the food should be done.

Remove the food using plastic or wooden utensils to avoid damaging the non- stick coating.
One-Sided Grill

Connect the mains plug to the power B outlet and Turn the switch “ON”. Preheat until the ready light (red light) illuminates before use.

Place the foods to be cooked in the lower cooking surface.

Pull the upper cover in the upright position, and open by 90°.
-
Grilling may be done with your appliance’s upper cover opened and not touching the upper cover.

Turn and collect the foods in the plate using a wooden spatula.
Party Grill (Barbecue)

In order to increase the cooking area in picnics and parties open the upper cover towards back by 180º, so you can provide a wide surface for cooking.

Set the adjustable temperature control to the appropriate position, and preheat the unit.

You can place the foods in both surfaces, use both of them at the same time, and make your grills easily. Turn and collect the foods in the plate using a wooden spatula
NOTE:
The warm up (energy) and ready (temperature) lights are
thermostatically controlled and will cycle on and off during cooking to
ensure that the correct temperature is maintained.
WARNING:
- Do not touch the outsides of the top sandwich maker/grill, when in use. Ensure you use the handle to open the top grill plate. Avoid touching hot surfaces. This sandwich maker/grill may generate steam from between the grill plates while food is cooking and when the top plate is opened. Take care when removing food from the grill.
- Carefully open the lid and remove the foods using plastic or wooden utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Never use metal tongs, forks or a knife as these can damage the coating
CLEANING & CARE
- After finishing your work, turn On/Off button and for turning off your appliance.
- Before cleaning and care, unplug the appliance from the wall socket and allow it to cool down.
- After each use, wipe cooking plates to protect the cooking surfaces coated with the non-stick material.
- Rinse the cooking plates with warm water and soap, using a soft-cloth or plastic brush, or wash in a dishwasher.
- Do not use abrasive materials such as metal brush or steel wool as this will scratch the non-stick coating.
- NEVER immerse the appliance into water or other liquids.
- Wipe the outer surface of the unit with a soft cloth and wipe dry it. NEVER use hard and abrasive cleaning agents.
