USE AND HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING. Risk of accident if vehicle is used outside of a private area. Do not use on public pathways. Use only on flat, firm surfaces with no obstacles around. Not to be used in traffic. To prevent collisions and falls, the child should be instructed as to the operation, handling and safe use of the vehicle, including steering, accelerating, changing gears and particularly braking. The toy should be used with caution as skill is required to prevent falls or collisions that could injure the user or other persons. The safe use of this product requires a few moments to acquire the skills to properly drive, accelerate, turn and brake. These steps should be supervised by an adult, taking into account the following guidelines: Do not use the product at night. Choose an open area, away from playing children and adults.

WARNINGI To be used exclusively under the surveillance of an adult. Unpacking, assembly, cleaning, maintenance, battery charging, and dismantling, should be carried out only by adults. Keep plastic bags and other elements of packaging away from children to avoid danger of suffocation or similar. Do not use on public pathways. Do not use in areas which could incur danger for the driver, pedestrians or pets, for example on steep slopes, stairs, near rivers, pools etc. Do not lift the vehicle with a weight inside, so as not to danger components. It is recommended that you do not drive on soft sand, snow, mud, damp grass or other difficult surfaces, as this could overload the motor or cables. If this occurs, the vehicle is equipped with a circuit breaker which will disconnect it temporarily. If the toy includes batteries they should be replaced by the same type when they run out. Use only recommended batteries or similar. If rechargable batteries are used, they must be removed from the aparatus for recharging by an adult. It is important not to recharge non rechargeable batteries, not to short circuit the battery terminals, and to place the batteries the correct way round. If the toy needs more than one battery, do not mix old and new batteries and do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. Remove used batteries and dispose of them in special containers. There are many brands of batteries existing on the market, if you do not get a proper connection, remove and insert again or try with another brand. Only use the charger specified by the manufacturer. Only use the battery specified by the manufacturer.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the vehicle with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or thinners. Do not allow the vehicle, switches, motors or batteries to get wet. Check that all components are included in the package. Each component has a code. To order any spare parts, indicate the reference and code number of the piece. It could be dangerous for children if this is not done. The charger is not a toy. It must never be used or connected to the power supply by a child. Do not connect to a power supply higher than that recommended.

BATTERY CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Before using the vehicle for the first time, charge the battery completely. Recharge the battery when it shows signs of being low. Do not let the battery discharge completely. If the vehicle is not going to be used for a long period of time, recharge the battery completely and disconnect the vehicle from the power supply. Repeat this process every 15 days approximately. If this is not done the battery could become unusable. Do not short circuit the battery terminals. The batteries should be connected with respect to polarities. The battery must not be hit. if the exterior of the battery begins to split, throw it away and replace it with another. Do not throw old or damaged batteries into the rubbish bin. They should be deposited in special containers. Under no circumstances should a battery be opened. They contain electrolyte acid, which is corrosive and can be harmful if consumed or if it comes into contact with skin. They also contain lead, which is a toxic substance. Do not place the battery near any source of heat or fire. As this could cause it to produce flammable gas and explode. Always recharge the battery in well ventilated areas, far from sources of heat. If the battery begins to leak, protect eyes and hands. Avoid direct contact with the electrolyte. Place the battery in a plastic bag and throw it away in a safe place. If the electrolyte comes into contact with skin or clothes, rinse with cold running water for at least 15 minutes. If the electrolyte is consumed, drink large quantities of cold water. Do not induce vomiting. Consult a doctor immediately.

AFTER SALES SERVICE

If the vehicle does not work, do not return it to the shop. Generally they are not able to give technical solutions to problems. Most problems can be resolved immediately by a quick check which takes only a few minutes. If help is necessary, or spare parts are needed, use our consumer service telephone numbers, or our web page. Every request must be accompanied by a receipt of purchase. The reference of the vehicle and the part in question will also be necessary. Feber cannot be held responsible for their products in the following cases: when instructions and recommendations in this manual have not been respected, when the product has been incorrectly used, unauthorized technical modifications have been made, when components are worn out through normal use, and when the battery does not work because appropriate maintenance has not been carried out. This does not affect your statutory rights.
