Take note:

Review before using

  1. Keep this manual for future reference.
  2. Adhere to all warnings.
  3. Keep ventilation openings clear; do not block any of this machine’s vents/openings.
  4. Install and set up the machine according to the manufacturer’s instructions provided in this manual.
  5. Do not install near any heat sources (ie. radiators, heat registers, stoves, amplifiers, or any other objects that produce heat).
  6. Protect the machine’s power cord. Prevent the power cord from being walked on or pinched – particularly at the plug, wall outlet, and connection to the machine.
  7. Unplug the machine during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  8. Refer all technical services to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the machine has been damaged in any way, such as damage to the power-supply cord or plug, contact with liquid, exposure to moisture or rain, if the machine has been dropped, or anything else which may cause the machine to fail to operate normally.
  9. Do not force the SD card into its slot. It can only be inserted in one direction. If the card does not insert easily, remove it and try reinserting it in the opposite direction.
  10. To maintain peak performance and battery longevity, fully charge the karaoke machine at least once every three months and before storing it away for along period of time.

Check the machine for damage before each use.
Do not expose this product to water, moisture, heat, or steam. Do not place objects filled with liquid on this product.
When using the product outdoors, do not use it in wet or very hot weather. Do not place the machine in direct sunlight.
Do not run a charging cable through puddles or other moisture.
Clean and store the device after each use.
Do not use the product with attachments not approved by the manufacturer.
Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or other heat sources to reduce the risk of fire or explosion.

Machine
How to turn the machine on/off
Press the Power (4) switch towards the left position, labeled Power On, toturn the machine on. Altematively, press the Power switch to the right position, labeled Power & LED On, to turn on the machine and LEDs.
To turn it off, return the switch to the center, labeled Off.
How to charge the machine
Plug in the machine’s Power Adapter (26) into the DC 9V (3) machine charging port on the function board. Then connect the power adapter into a polarized wall outlet. Be sure to charge fully before each use.
Alternatively, you may use an external battery to charge the machine battery. Press the red tab spring terminal to open the slot, then insert the positive wire into the terminal. Press the black tab spring terminal to open the slot, then insert the negative wire  into the terminal.
How to adjust the machine volume
Turn the Machine Volume (16) knob to adjust the volume up and down on the machine. If your smart device is connected via Bluetooth, you may also use the smart device’s controls to adjust the machine volume.
How to operate the LEDs
Press the Machine Power (1) switch to the right position, labeled Power & LED On, to turn on the machine and LEDs at the same time. Turn the LEDs off by flipping the power switch to the left position, labeled Power On.
Note: There is only one LED mode. It cannot be adjusted.
How to use the record function
Begin by inserting a suitable recording device into the function board via the MicroSD slot or USB port. Ensure that the micro- phone is turned on and then proceed to long press REC on the function board. Speak or sing into the microphone and when finished recording, click REC again to stop it.
How to use the EQ
The EQ consists of three separate control knobs on the control panel: Treble (17), Bass (18), and Echo (19). Turn each knob to the right to adjust that effect. Return all effects to normal by turning all knobs to the left.
How to use the Repeat button
While a song is playing, press the Repeat (8) button to activate repeat. When the song ends, it will restart and play through again indefinitely until you click the Repeat button again.
How to connect the machine to your television
The Soprano X2 has the ability to play your TV’s audio through its speakers. Connect the included AUX-RCA Cable (25) to the 3.5 mm AUX Port (14). Connect the other end to your TV’s RCA port.
How to attach the Microphone Holster accessory to the machine
The Soprano X2 comes with two Microphone Holsters (22), one for each side of the machine. Hold the holster at an angle so the prongs align with the slots in the holster hole. Press the holster prongs into the hole, then twist to lock it into place. Repeat on the other side.
How to attach the Device Holder
The Soprano X2 comes with a Device Holder (21) that’s adjustable to accommodate a variety of device sizes. Press the spring-load- ed arms in on each side and place the holder between the extendable handle. Release the arms to press on the inside of the handle to secure it. Place your smart device in the holder and adjust to the correct size.

Microphones
How to turn the microphones on/off
For both wireless microphones, slide the Mic Power Switch (24) up to turn the microphone on. Slide the power switch down to turn the microphone off.
How to adjust the microphone volume
Turn the Mic Volume (20) knob to the right to increase the micro- phone volume.
How to connect a third-party wired microphone
Gently but firmly plug the 6.5 mm AUX jack at the end of any third-party wired microphone into the 6.5mm Mic Input (1) on the machine’s function board.
How to install or replace the VHF microphone’s batteries
Unscrew the cap on the bottom of the microphone and insert two AA batteries (not included) into the proper slots. Screw the cap back on, and proceed to power on the microphone as directed above.
How to use PA mode
When there is no music playing, this machine can be used to make PA announcements. Simply speak into a microphone by ensuring that it is properly connected as instructed above.
How to transport
The Soprano X2 was designed intentionally with wheels at the bottom for easy transportation. Simply unplug all wires and extend the handle on the machine to roll it around just like a suitcase. Place the microphones in the holsters.

Music
How to sing karaoke using your machine

  1. Find a karaoke track of your preferred song online. Karaoke tracks are available for thousands of songs through various online karaoke music services. Many are also available for free on YouTube channels such as “Sing King,” etc. These services often include lyrics.
  2. Stream it from your device via Bluetooth, or download the track to USB or MicroSD.
  3. Click/short press the Mode button to set up your preferred playback mode.

How to set up playback modes
Your machine has six different playback modes: Bluetooth, AUX, MicroSD, USB, FM Radio and PA. Each has its own set-up method. See the “Content/Parts” section above for input locations and the relevant subsections for more information on how to set up your preferred playback mode.
How to connect to Bluetooth (using your smart device)
When powered on, the machine will start in Bluetooth mode. To use this feature, simply search for the machine name “MASINGO Soprano X2″ under your playback device’s Bluetooth connection settings and connect as you would any other Bluetooth device.
Caution: Do not tum your smart device volume to maximum or damage to speakers may occur. Place your device volume at midrange and then adjust the volume using the Mic Volume (20) knob on the machine. You may use both the controls on your smart device or the machine controls to play, pause, or switch between tracks.
How to use MicroSD mode (playing music from an SD card)
Plug your MicroSD card into the TF Slot (MicroSD) (13). Once inserted, press the Mode (6) button to switch to SD mode and then press the Play/Pause (10) button to begin playing your music. Press the Previous (9) or Next (11) buttons to change tracks. Press the Play/Pause button again to pause a track.
Note: The Mode (6) button will only cycle through MicroSD mode if a MicroSD chip containing audio files is inserted. Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through each of the available modes.
How to set up and activate FM Radio mode
When the machine is on, press the Mode button (6) and cycle through available modes until the machine speaker says “FM Mode.” MicroSD and USB-A modes will become available when those inputs are in use.
The first time you activate your machine (or when you are using your machine in a new location), short press the Play/Pause button (10) to begin scanning for available stations. Do not press any buttons again until the scanning cycle is complete.
Your machine has now stored all available stations. Once the scanning process is complete, it will automatically return to chan- nel one. Use the Previous (9) and Next (11) buttons to change between FM radio stations.
How to start USB mode (Playing music from o USB drive)
Plug a USB drive into the USB-A Input (12). Once connected, press the Mode button (6) to switch to USB mode. Press the Play/Pause (10) button to begin playing your music. Press the Previous (9) or Next (11) buttons to change tracks. Press the Play/Pause button again to pause the track.
Note: The Mode button will only cycle through to USB mode if a USB drive containing audio files is connected. Press the Mode button repeatedly to cycle through each of the available modes.
How to use multiple playback modes
To use playback modes interchangeably, simply activate each mode according to the instructions above, then press Mode (6) to switch between the inputs.
How to use Vocal Cut/Karaoke mode
Vocal Cut is a unique function that allows you to add your voice over non- karaoke audio tracks playing through the speaker, which is why it’s also called Karaoke Mode. This mode will dampen the artist’s voice on the track to allow you to easily sing over the
track. You’ll still hear the artist’s voice at a low volume in the back- ground, so think of them as your backup vocalist. To turn Vocal Cut on or off, hold/long press the previous song button.
Note: Audio tracks designed for karaoke will not have the original artist’s voice included in the mix. Vocal Cut enables you to sing over standard mp3 tracks from your music library or a streaming service.
How to Use Mic Priority
Mic priority allows you to prioritize the output of the microphone over the music that is playing to activate, long press the Repeat (8) button to turn on. To turn off long press the Repeat button again.

Remote
How to use the Remote Controller
Under normal circumstances, the remote controller should be aimed directly at the machine, within 6 meters and at a 30 degree angle. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the machine. Keep the machine and the remote out of direct sunlight
to avoid the interference of glare, which may affect the remote’s infrared signal. Replace the remote controller’s batteries regularly.MASINGO Soprano

Maintenance

How to clean
Turn the machine and microphones off. Unplug the machine’s power adapter and disconnect any MicroSD or USB plug-ins.
Gently wipe the outside of the machine using a clean, dry cloth. Keep all vents, buttons, and openings free of lint and dirt. Do not immerse the machine in water and do not use any harsh cleaners.
How to store
Charge the machine and microphones so that they are ready for next use. Make sure that the machine is clean and dry. Bind the power adapter and included cables individually and gently with electrician-approved fasteners.
(Note: Do not wrap or fold against the natural bend of the cords or cable). Do not wrap the cord around the machine. Store the machine in a cool, dry place away from damaging elements.
For best results, clean and store the machine after each use.

When Things Go Flat Troubleshooting guide

Problem Solution
Machine is not turning on The battery is depleted. Be sure to charge the

machine after each use.
The Machine Battery Indicator Light (15)
is flashing| The battery is low. Please charge the machine.
VHF wireless microphone is not turning on| Ensure the power switch is all the way in the ON position (to the right) and the Microphone Indicator Light (23) is on. (Note: The VHF micro- phone has a middle setting called “Mute.” The microphone will not function in “Mute.”)
If this does not solve the issue, the Microphone battery is low or depleted. Replace the AA batteries in the microphone.
USB or MicroSD mode is not working| Ensure that the USB drive or MicroSD chip is inserted properly and that there are readable music files stored on the drive/chip.
Ensure that the machine volume is turned to an audible level.
Machine is not playing micro- phone vocals| First check that the microphone volume is turned up. (Note: The VHF microphone has a middle setting called “Mute.” Ensure that it is not in this setting by pushing the power switch all the way up).
If you’re using a third-party wired microphone, ensure it’s plugged in correctly.
Ensure that the wireless microphone’s batteries are installed correctly and still have charge.
Ensure that the machine volume is on and that mic priority is off.
Microphone vocals are echoing excessively| If the echo is excessive, move the machine speaker further away from the microphones to reduce echo.
Machine powers onand then shuts down| The battery is low. Please charge the machine.
No sound is playing from the speaker| Ensure that the volume on the machine and your device (if applicable) are both set to an audible level.
Button or knob on the machine is not working
properly| Power off the machine and turn it back on.
Can’t find audible stations in FM radio mode| FM radio mode needs to program in available stations the first time you use it in a new location. To do this, activate FM radio mode and hold down the Play/Pause button (10) for 3 seconds. Please wait for the scanning process to complete before you begin searching for stations with the Previous [9) and Next (11) buttons. See the “How to set up and activate FM radio mode” for more details.
The 12V external battery function is not working| Ensure the positive and negative wires are properly inserted into each terminal on the machine’s control panel.
Double check the external battery to ensure it has charge.

If any of these issues persist or if any part of the device becomes damaged, discontinue use and consult a licensed electrician for repair. Do not attempt to modify or repair the device yourself. Contact our customer service department (see next page) with questions.
