IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Read all safety and operating instructions before using this product. Keep the manual for future reference.
  2. Prior to installing the speakers into any ceiling or wall, check the structure for weight bearing ability and avoid contact with any wiring or plumbing that might be behind the surface area. Installing on soft materials or in areas incapable of supporting the speakers’ weight may cause personal injury or damage to the speaker.
  3. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  4. Use only approved and certified wiring in your installation, do not stretch or place the wire in contact with sharp objects.
  5. Never overdrive your speakers to the point of distortion and always reduce volume prior to switching input sources (e.g., FM to CD).
  6. Tum off the power to the speaker during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

In the package

(A) SPEAKER X 2
The speakers comes with sealed top covers for outdoor use, if used for indoor pendant speakers, they need to be replaced with the top cover with holes as shown in (B) HANGING KIT.| (B) HANGING KIT X 2
Each hanging kit includes an alternative speaker cover with cable hole, a metal lanyard cable
(length adjustable 3ft maximum), an eyebolt and a hook.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

  1. PENDANT SET UP
    Use the provided accessory (B) HANGING KIT
    a) Remove the original sealed top cover and use the alternative top cover with cable and eye bott hole.
    b) At each speaker location, route the speaker cable hanging from the ceiling area through the top cover, and dress the cables to the wire rope using plastic cable ties, slide the speaker cables through the top cover, strip the ends of the cables approximately 1/8″ to 3/16″ and, if the wire is stranded, twist the strands.
    c) Connect the wires from the amplifier (or the previous speaker) to the EUROBLOCK terminal: red to + and black to – (several speakers can be daisy chained with the same terminal but make sure to connect all in same correct polarity). Use the provided flat screw driver to adjust the tap switch to the position (8 ohm, 70V /100V according to your applications.
    d) Fasten the provided eye bolt to the top cover and the speaker then fasten the top cover, using the provided hook and metal lanyard to hang the speaker.SOUND TOWN STPDS 4B 4W 4 All Weather Pendant Speaker -
Installation

  2. WALL MOUNT
    Use the provided accessory (C} WALL MOUNT BRACKET
    a) Use the provided screws to mount the bigger part of the bracket on the wall.
    b) Remove the speaker top cover and fix the small part of the bracket onto the rear of speaker.
    c) Make the wiring and tap switch setting sane as the pendant set up.
    d) Match the small part of bracket to the bigger part on the wall, adjust to your desired angle (-60° to 60° adjustable) then fix the two parts with screws.SOUND TOWN STPDS 4B 4W 4 All Weather Pendant Speaker - Installation

  3. LANDSCAPE / GROUND MOUNT
    Use the provided accessory (D) SPEAKER STAND
    a) Remove the top cover and screw on the speaker stand into the rear of the speaker (same hole as the wall mount bracket goes).
    b) Make the wiring and tap switch setting same as the pendant set up.
    c) Fix the speaker stand to the ground (recommended to a solid concrete ground) and fasten the cover.
    d) The speaker stand is angle adjustable omnidirectional.
