Thank you for purchasing MINIX NEO Z83-4 Max.
NEO 283-4 Max is a cost-efficient, versatile fanless Mini PC designed for
office operation and industrial application: an ideal Digital Signage, POS and
Thin Client solution.
Pre-installed with Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) and matched with a vast array of
connectivity options; NEO Z83-4 Max has the power to produce stunning visuals,
support 4K video playback and streaming with responsive performance, straight
out of the box.
NEO 283-4 Max can be easily mounted to a VESA compatible monitor, no tools are
required for mounting once the included bracket has been installed.

Overview
Power LED – The LED glows blue when the NEO
Z83-4 Max is on.
Power button – To power on the NEO Z83-4 Max, press and hold the power
button for 1-2 seconds until the power LED glows. To power off the NEO Z83-4
Max, press and hold the power button for 8 seconds to force power off.
Micro SD card slot – Increase the storage size or read files directly
from the card slot, supports up to 256GB max. The card slot is inverted by
design: please ensure you insert your card the correct way round.
Audio Jack – Connect to an external audio output device such as earphones
etc…
Ethernet Jack – Connect the Ethernet cable for internet access.
DC 12V Power-in Jack – Connect the 12V power adapter supplied in the
package to this port. The NEO Z83-4 Max requires less than 1A to operate,
however the included power adapter provides 3A, in consideration that you may
require extra to connect other power-drawing external devices such as an
external hard drive.
USB Ports – Connect an external USB device to the NEO 783-4 Max, such as
USB flash drive, reciever of wireless keyboard and mouse, USB wired mouse,
receiver of wireless headset etc..
HDMI port – Connect the NEO Z83-4 Max to the HDMI port of a high-
definition TV or PC monitor using included HDMI cable.
Control
Different Control Methods – You may control the NEO 183-4 Mox with the following input devices:
- Wired mouse and keyboard set
- 2.4GH, USB wireless mouse and keyboard set
Basic Setup
Whotyou need:
Hlgh-Dennlfion TV or PC monitor -That con display 720p. 1060p or 4K video
with ot east one Mini DP or HDMI port.
HDMI Coble – To connect the NEO Z83-4 Max to your TV IHOMI coble
included).
Network – A wired network cable or on 802.1 lac Wi-Fi wireless network,
your wireless network name and password.
MINIX NEO 283-4 Max connects to your TV or PC monitor through a Mini DP or
HDMI port that delivers both audio and video.
Step 1: Remove NEO 283-4 Max from VESA mount
– Carefully pull back one of the corners and lift out the NEO 283-4 Max.
Step 2 (if required): Place VESA mount bracket onto monitor.
- Insert screws and secure.
- Safely attach NEO 283-4 Max in any direction.
Step 3: Connecting the cable
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port of your TV / PC monitor.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI port of the NEO 283-4 Max.
Step 4: Connecting the power
– Connect the 12V power adapter supplied in the package to the relevant port. Press and hold the power button for 1-2 seconds to power on the NEO Z83-4 Max, the blue power LED should then glow.
Step 5: Turn on your TV / PC monitor and select the input
– Simply turn on your TV or PC monitor and select the corresponding HDMI port connected to the NEO Z83-4 Max.
