MINIX 8231 U Multimedia Connector Multimedia Connector

DANGER

Intended use
This product is suitable for installation in dry environments.
Maximum height of the installation: 2 m. from the ground.

Description
The multimedia connector combines three functions into one single device:

1. HDMI connector outlet
2. USB chager
3. Bluetooth® audio module
4. The three functions can be used separately or at the same time.

Connection

[A] Standard:
HDMI channel: HDMI male-male cable connects the device to a TV.
Audio channel: L-R line out terminals are connected to the TV audio input. Use coaxial cable to prevent noise interference.
[B] Advanced:
Audio channel (secondary): L-R line out terminals are connected to an external amplifier that can feed room speakers.

Configurations [A] and [B] can be combined simultaneously.

NOTE
L-R line out terminals must not be connected to room speakers directly as this could damage the device.

Setup

1. Make sure that the power supply is disconnected during setup.
2. Connect all wires to rear terminals according to diagrams.
3. Secure mechanism into flush-mounted box using the screws.
4. Connect main power supply.

Bluetooth® Connection (Audio)
NOTE

Make sure the bluetooth connection of your phone is activated in order to pair the multimedia connector.

First-time connection

1. Press the Bluetooth® pairing button [3].
2. Search for BT Connector in your phone and connect.

The Multimedia Connector can save a list of 8 devices for automatic connection in the future.

Future connections

1. Activate BT connection in your phone, it will sync automatically.

Reset BT connection

You can reset the list of devices by pressing [3] for more than 5 sec-onds.

Streaming audio via TV spekers

1. Make sure that the Multimedia Connector is connected to the TV via Coaxial Cable (see diagram ‘A’).
2. Make sure that the phone is paired correctly (LED steady on)
3. Switch to AUX channel on the TV and set the volume level.
4. Play the sound from the phone.
