  • Check the appliance for obvious damage before each use.
  • This appliance must not be used by persons insensitive to heat and other very vulnerable persons who are unable to react to overheating.
  • This appliance is an overblanket.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Children under the age of three are not to use this appliance due to their inability to react to overheating.
  • The appliance is not to be used by young children over the age of three unless the controls have been pre-set by a parent or guardian, and unless the child has been adequately instructed on how to operate the controls safely.
  • The cable and control unit of the appliance can give rise to risks of entanglement, strangulation, tripping or treading if not correctly arranged. The user shall make sure that excess ties and electric cords shall be arranged in a safe way.
  • The appliance can be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision and with the control always set to minimum temperature value.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • When the appliance is likely to be used for an extended period, for instance by the user falling asleep, controls should be adjusted to position 1 for continuous use.
  • The appliance is only to be used with the type of controller marked on the rating label.
  • Never fold the appliance.
  • Do not roll or fold the appliance during use. If the appliance is used while in bed, make sure it lays evenly over top of your body and bedding. Do not use other products on top of the over- blanket. If this is not guaranteed, do not use the appliance to avoid overheating.
  • Do not use needles, do not scratch with sharp objects on the appliance and do not use blunt force against the appliance. Do not attach the appliance with needles.
  • To prevent burns, the appliance should not be used by physically handicapped or heat-sensitive people and also children.
  • Do not turn the appliance on when folded duvets or heavy items are lying on top of it. The compressed areas could overheat.
  • Do not use the appliance with other heaters (such as foot warmer, hot water bottles).
  • Do not heat other devices with the appliance.
  • Keep sources of ignition (such as cigarette, sparks) that can cause fire away from the appliance.
  • Disconnect the appliance from the mains if you do not use it or leave the house. This will avoid possible fires.
  • The appliance is not intended for use in hospitals.
  • Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the appliance has been misused or does not work, return it to the supplier before switching it on again.
  •  If the power cord is damaged, please contact customer service.
  • Do not use the appliance in a mechanically adjustable bed. Should you do it anyway, make sure that the cable is not pinched and damaged.
  • Do not use if wet.
  • Protect the appliance from humidity, moisture (spray and dripping water and penetration by liquids) and high temperatures (incl. direct sunlight).
  • The appliance is only suitable for indoor use.
  • In case of malfunction disconnect the appliance from the power source for at least 3 seconds.
  • Do not try to modify the appliance or to repair it by yourself.
  • Under normal conditions, the appliance has a service life of 8 years. After this time, you should buy a new appliance. appliance dama- ged by misconduct must be repaired before reuse.
  • The appliance may not be disposed of in normal household waste at the end of its usable life. The disposal needs to occur through specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.
  • The product must not be plugged in while folded or rolled. Only use in a fully flat condition.
  • The appliance is intended for human use only. Not for pets.
  • The appliance must not be used as an under blanket. Do not cover the appliance.

 OPERATION

  1. Connect the control unit to the heating over-blanket by joining the plug-in couplings together.
  2.  Connect the plug of the power cable to a suitable power socket.
  3. Set the desired temperature using the regulator on the control unit of the power cable. If the display above the regulator is empty, the heating over-blanket is switched off. 1 on the display stands for a low, 2 for a medium heat development and 3 for the strongest stage.

AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF-TIMER
After 3 hours of continuous use the appliance switches off automatically. To switch it on again, first set the temperature controller to off and then to your desired temperature again.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • The product should only be washed up to 5 times during its lifecycle. Wash only if necessary.
  •  Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug from the socket first. Then disconnect the controller from the appliance by unplugging the plug-in coupling. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
  • During cleaning do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
  • The controller must never come into contact with water or other liquids, as this may cause damage. To clean the controller, use a dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaning agents. Small marks on the appliance can be removed with a damp cloth or sponge and, if necessary, with liquid detergent for delicate laundry.
  • The appliance must not be chemically cleaned, wrung out, tumble dried, put through a mangle or ironed.
  • Do not use pegs or similar items to attach the appliance to the clothes horse.
  • Never switch the appliance when wet.

 STORAGE

  • Store the appliance in a dry place. Do not place heavy objects on the ceiling and do not angle them. After storage, carefully check the appliance for external damages. Do not switch on a damaged appliance.
  • When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
  • Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.

  • The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and by reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill. The symbol on this product or its packaging signifies that this product must be disposed separately from ordinary household wastes at its end of life.
