WARNING: When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING AND STORE THE MANUAL FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
- Take a minute to unwrap your appliance. Check your appliance carefully and thoroughly to remove all packing materials.
- This appliance is intended for indoor home use only.
- Never use any accessories or parts from other manufacturers. Your warranty will become invalid if such accessories or parts have been used.
- Do not use this appliance outdoors.
- Wash all removable parts with a mild cleanser before the first use. This product has a removable blade. Extreme care should be taken when removing and inserting the slicing blade. We recommend that you use a protective glove.
- Do not use the Deli Slicer if your hands are wet or if you are standing on a wet floor.
- Only use the Deli Slicer after you have dried the appliance.
- Check that your home power supply corresponds with this appliance’s intended voltage.
- Place this appliance on a stable heat-resistant surface. Make sure not to place near or on a heat source such as a gas or electric burner or oven.
- Short power cords are attached to this item to prevent entanglement and tripping hazards. Extension cords with corresponding voltage, electrical rating and grounding wires can be used. Care should be taken so that any exposed cord is not hanging down from a counter or table where it can be pulled on or tripped over by any child or adult.

- Never slice food without the Safety Food Holder protective guide in place on the Feed Table.

- Do not use the Deli Slicer for more than 10 minutes continuously.
- The cutting blade may continue to rotate after the slicer has been switched off.
- The slice thickness adjustment dial should be set to “0” after each use.
- Unplug the appliance when you have finished slicing.
- Before cleaning, make sure that the appliance is turned off, unplugged, and cooled to room temperature.
- Do not immerse complete appliance in water or in a dishwasher for cleaning.
- Clean the housing of this appliance with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft pad or cloth.
- This product can be used to slice a variety of foods that can include fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry or fish. These foods can leave residue on your slicer that can grow mold or bacteria. It is important that you clean all the parts of the product that come in contact with your ingredients.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry location.

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards of entanglement or tripping. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply extension cord is used:
- The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
- Never pull or yank on a cord or the appliance.
- To insert the plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into an outlet.
- To disconnect the appliance, grasp the plug and remove it from the outlet.
- Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please contact Chefman Customer Service if damage is found.
- Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Safely Using the Deli Slicer
- After reading through the safety instructions, you are ready to plug in your appliance.
- Insert the plug in an electric outlet making sure that it is the right voltage for your appliance.
- Never touch the slicing surface of your blade.
- The blade is removable for cleaning.
- Should you need to hold the blade, only do so using a safety glove.
- A lubricant is spread on the back surface of the blade and appliance housing. This ensures the smooth rotation of the blade and even consistent cutting.
- Never touch the blade when the slicer is operating! This can cause serious injury.
- Always use the Safety Food Holder to keep you safe while slicing food.
- Do not slice hard or frozen food or food with bones.
- Never use the slicer for more than 10 minutes continuously.
- The cutting blade continues to rotate after the slicer has been switched off.
- Return the slice thickness knob to the “0” setting after use.
How to Use the Deli Slicer
- Turning the ON switch will cause the cutting blade to run. To stop the slicer, turn the power switch to OFF.
- The Thickness Adjustment Dial can be set to your desired slicing thickness. The slice thickness range is 0-15 mm; paper thin to about half an inch.
- Turn the Thickness Dial to your desired setting.
- Place the food to be sliced on the Sliding Feed Table. Always use the Safety Food Holder. The plastic Safety Food Holder should be placed on the Feed Table arm to hold the food safely against the blade when the blade is running.
- Press the food to be sliced with the safety guide lightly against the blade.
- Slide the Feed Table so that the food contacts the Slicing Blade.
- The slices will fall to the back of the appliance. You can place or hold a piece of foil or parchment paper to catch the slices as they fall.
- When you are done, turn the power switch to OFF and wait for the blade to come to a complete stop.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Safely Cleaning the Slicer
- Before starting to clean the slicer, switch it off.
- Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Remove and install this blade with caution, using a safety glove. To remove the blade, rotate the locking mechanism clockwise, then pull out the blade. Always handle the blade by the center. Use two fingers to hold it by the turn mechanism of the lock. To install the blade, insert it back in the slicer housing and turn it counter-clockwise.
- Clean the Deli Slicer after each use. Perishable food scraps and residue accumulate on the Blade, Feed Table, and all surfaces of the appliance. Remove the Safety Food Guide and wipe the Base and Sliding Feed Table using a damp cloth with a non- abrasive cleaning product.
