This device is for charging and maintaining 6 V and 12 V lead-acid batteries (with electrolyte solution, AGM, gel) and is not suitable for charging lithium-ion batteries. The battery charger switches to maintenance mode to preserve the charge status after charging.

Always read the instruction manual! This device is dust and water-resistant (IP65). Beware of electric shock, explosion, and fire hazards. Keep children and other persons away during use. Only for indoor use.

Product Features

The battery charger is designed for charging a wide variety of open and some sealed lead-acid batteries, including vehicles such as cars and motorcycles. It is not to be used for commercial purposes.

Operation

Before connecting the charger, read the battery’s instruction manual and the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure adequate ventilation during charging to prevent gas formation. Connect the positive clamp (red) to the positive terminal of the battery, and the negative clamp (black) to the negative terminal.

Maintenance and Care

The device is maintenance-free. Clean with a dry cloth and do not use solvents or aggressive cleaning agents. When abnormal conditions arise, such as battery voltage below 6 V for 12 V batteries, an open circuit, or reversed polarity, the charger will switch to standby mode.

For EU countries: Do not dispose of electrical equipment in household waste. According to the European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment, these items must be collected and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Usage Instructions

To operate the C3 device:

  1. Read the battery user manual and comply with the vehicle regulations.
  2. Ensure that there is no open flame, sparks, or glowing materials during charging and maintenance.
  3. Do not let the charging cable come into contact with fuel lines.
  4. Always disconnect the power cord before using the device.
  5. Select the desired mode using the Mode button:
    • Mode 1: 6 V charging
    • Mode 2: 12 V charging (Motorcycle)
    • Mode 3: 12 V charging (Car)
    • Mode 4: 12 V charging (Winter, AGM)
  6. The LED indicator will show the charging status:
    • Ladestatus “ok” (lit)
    • Ladeerhaltung (blinking)
  7. Ensure that the battery voltage is above 6 V (for 12 V batteries).
  8. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals for maintenance.
  9. Avoid an open circuit and reverse polarity during usage.
  10. The system will remain in standby mode if no other setting is chosen.
