Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the toaster.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs only.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or any part of the toaster in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when it is used by or near children. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch any hot surface.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock.
- Bread may burn, therefore toasters must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials; they must be supervised.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
- Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting so as to avoid injuries.
- A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable materials, including curtains, draperies, walls and the like, when in operation.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not operate unattended.
- When heating toaster pastries, always use the lightest toast color setting.

- If toaster starts to smoke, press CANCEL button to stop toasting immediately.
- Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.

WARNING Risk of electric shock!
To prevent electrical shock, unplug before cleaning.
- Remove all protective wrapping prior to toasting.
- If toaster starts to smoke, press CANCEL button to stop toasting immediately.
- Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter.
- Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
- The bread slot is only suitable for toasting regular bread slices.
Polarized plug
This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Notes on the cord
- a short power supply cord (or detached power supply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a long cord. t A longer detachable cord or extension cord is available and may be used if care is
- exercised in their use. t If a long detachable power supply cord or extension cord is used,
- The marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance; and
- The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
- If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord.

INTENDED USE
- This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
- This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
- No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
- Check for transport damage.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.
- As there is manufacturing residue or oil remaining in the toaster or heating element, the appliance usually emits an odor during first use. It is normal and will not occur after several times of use. Before toasting the first slice of bread, it is strongly recommended to operate the appliance following the below instructions, except without bread.

Keep any packaging materials away from children – these materials are a
potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
Operation
Switching on/off

Put a bread slice into the bread slot. A maximum of 4 slices can be inserted at once.Only a regular slice can be placed into the bread slot.
NOTICE I Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before using. -
Plug the power cord into the outlet.

Set the browning level by turning the browning level control knob to the desired level. There are 7 level settings (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7); the default setting is 4. Turn clockwise to increase browning level, turn counter-clockwise to decrease browning level. The bread slice will be toasted to a golden color on the medium setting.
NOTICE If toasted continuously, browning level for the latter bread is darker than the level of previous cycle at the same level. -
Press toasting handle down until it is positioned in place. The CANCEL indicator lights up, and toasting begins. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset browning level, the toasting handle automatically pops up.
NOTICE
- The toasting handle can only be locked when the appliance is connected to the power supply.
- During the toasting process, you may observe the browning level. If it is to your liking, you may interrupt the toasting process by pressing the CANCEL button at any time.
- If the bread has been taken from the refrigerator. Set the browning level knob to your desired level. Press toasting handle down until it is positioned in place, then press the DEFROST button. The DEFROST indicator lights up. In this mode, the toast will be toasted to your desired level.
- If you only want to toast one side of the bread slice, press toasting handle down until it is positioned in place, set the browning level knob to your desired level, then press the BAGEL button. The BAGEL indicator lights up. In this mode, the heating elements in the middle sides heat up. But the heating elements in the outer sides will not heat. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset level, the toasting handle automatically pops up.
Cleaning and Maintenance
WARNING Risk of electric shock!
- To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.
- While cleaning, do not immerse the electrical parts of the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.
Cleaning
- To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
- Pull out the crumb tray on the bottom of the toaster and empty it. If the toaster is used frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should removed at least once a week. Make sure the crumb tray is completely closed before using the toaster again.
Maintenance
When not in use or in storage, the power cord may be wrapped around the cord
storage located on the bottom side of the appliance.
